  1. converting car from auto to manual. does manual gearbox use oil cooler? i was wondering because i also wish to get a new radiator for the zed and need to knwo what radiator i need to get. I.E do i need a seperate rad for manual gearbox or use an uprated auto radiator which has built in oil cooler? Jap spec
  2. cool :) once i get plenum off (doing it anyway) then ill nstall clutch pedal system and then raise car to drop box :) will update journal soon
  3. sorry i wasnt clear....... DOH  i mean the crossmember slightly bends up to almost a centimetre when it is off the ground. i have halfords two ton axle stands http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_241361_langId_-1_categoryId_165727 actually i can see they are fine, im thinking of the neighbours ones
  4. thanks for that :) exactly what i need and it looks easier than having to move them another half meter back to the safety poitns :) two last questions. 1. my stands have a half open square design. will it be ok? 2. also i noticed mien bending ever so slightly (like half a centimetre to a cm) is this normal?
  5. how do you add it to the bumper? what else do i need to buy to add it in front of my fmic?
  6. the ones above are nismo 555 :) but at £200 for 4 i could probably pick another two up and save alot of money. even after fuel rail..
  7. ok i know im repeating but im making one last double check. i know where the jacking points are to raise the car and where the saftey stands are for the 4 axle stands. aswell as jacking the car from the front crossmember i can ALSO bring axle stands forward from the guides "safety stands points" and place under front cross member? this will in effect help me by not having to raise the front as high to get the clearance needed for the intended safety stand points as i can have them more towards the front of the car under the crossmember?
  8. i think the question is.... would you trust the supplier? as they have mentioned the injector ID they would have to supply that or face a refund? how is it these can get them soooo cheaper than elsewhere? maybe i will have to buy some and check the ID (somehow) to see if they realyl are the correct spec
  9. so that would still work out cheaper?
  10. These should slot straight in, have good price and same part number as nismo 555cc.
  11. what about these? http://shop.edoperformance.co.uk/nismo-highvolume-fuel-injectors-cz32-vg30de-39939-vg30dett-399410-p-6386.html only four but at that price i may aswell buy two sets and have 2 spare? they are nismo too apparently and with the same part number as imports pro. ok they are minus alot of thigs but.....................
  12. GULP!!!! looks like the zed will be off for longer than i thought :( wish i could buy two at a time :P also i need the adapter kit which bumps up cost alot
  13. i know that these say 300zx turbo but i always get suspicious. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/6-Nissan-300ZX-550cc-1990-96-Fuel-Injectors_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem563b6a50d2QQitemZ370364010706QQptZRaceQ5fCarQ5fParts will theses work well in the zed? Trying to find some injectors to support 550 flywheel BHP :( if not does anyone know what brands will fit? not looking forward to the £600 price tags ive seen on some cheers
  14. Done that. It's got to be more bolts. But I followed guide
  15. well i got round to doing more work on the zed and decided to pull the plenum...... got help from my best pal and we followed the basic guide in the FAQ section... got round to the part where it says "you should now slightly be able to lift the plenum" WHAT??? mine wont move a budge................. got the 8 bolts on top, the two bolts either side of the plenum.. disconnected balance bar and all the plumbing.......... what gives? :boat: not enjoying this one bit now :( i was atleast hoping i could get it off yesterday after a few hours :hammer:
  16. looking at increasing to 555 injectors however i can see that alot of sites are saying nismo 555 injectors commonly known for lasting only a year in the 1990+ 300z's is this true or should i be looking at a different brand of 555 injectors? wishing to get some soon
  17. great stuff :) what did you have done?
  18. now i just need to learn to keep making sure my cars ass and private parts are cleaned :)
  19. cool... i wish my job was top secret but in reality............ im a bum washer! :punk:
  20. i use to know a guy called james who claimed he worked for the ministry of defense but he always said he could never discuss his job with us. then the other stuff came out like......... "i get given a credit card with an allowance" i am constantly flying away to other countries" which is all fair enough but he was 21 and claimed he owned a Zonda super car.......... then it got less believable :) could of been a misture of both truth and lies but who knows :) apart from that ive never met many MOD personell... but then i guess i wouldnt of known??? :tt2:
  21. luckily its a residential estate as opposed to a care home.... they have their own properties and are promoted and provided with tools to live independantly. i worked for Essex supporting people which are Commisioners and handle the government grant for independant living so i have always believed in it and it is my ethos.. hence why i would like this job as im not working in a care home where they dont get choice. i am entering a home just as normal as anybody elses. i have to prompt then to take medicine and encourage them to make their breakfast/luch dinner (depending on shift) and encourage them to get out of bed and offer emotional support. they have the choice whether to do it or not :) i like it this way as i always fear of myself or my nan ending up in these normal care homes. generally im just helping them live theyre lives they want to and help put in place programs to keep their independance i will have to leanr to be persuasive i guess
  22. Enhanced CRB went in novermber though and only just came back lol but it is there for a reason and luckily lasts 5 years.......... always nice to know you have nothing on your record when the disclosure comes through. especially when your in with the wrong group as a team... always wondered if i got records lol.. nice and rewarding to know im a clean man :p
  23. well ive only been out twice with supervisor in my spare time. i officially start on the 14th of may when my training has finsihed.. manual handling etc.... my wife said i would actually be taught how to wash a womens/men stink hole and parts i'm sure i will have some stories to tell after that though :scooter: obviously i would have to limit all the details to protect the person but im sure some strange and funny stuff will happen.. the only thing im nervous about is walking in to find dead bodies :( and apparently there is one poor old man who sufferes dementia but chases you out of his home with his walking stick O.o i think im going to grow up a bit in this role but its all a learning experience and as its not where i live in chelmsford it means i will have my first commuting job
  24. yeah i am planning to get to management in care as i always like to care for people, so why not get a career in it...........(and my wife works there.... ho ho ho) its extra care so its not as full on as normal caring and would very rarely need to do wiping of bums and........... elsewhere. But the will be a time when i need to do it, but i have no problem with it :) once i fo my NVQ 2 - 4 then i will do management which is less on the caring side.... but hey ho.... we all have to start somewhere in life. my wife had to do it and she is a Service manager for local government on an extremely good wage and manages most of the managers and 900 staff across all of essex............. im just unfortunate that if i want my car.... the deal is i use my earned money :) fair do's she did treat me to gearbox conversion and stuff here and there :punk: but yeah generally i go into someones house (with their permission ofcourse) read their care plan and carry it out. Part time work but same wage as my full time job im about to leave :punk: this means i only work 3 or 4 days some weeks and have the rest of the time on my car .... bring it on!!!
  25. blah blah blah :surrender: Nincompoop..................................... havn't heard that one in a long time.... where i work all i get is..... oooooohhh young man!! even more worrying after i have wiped their bums!!!
