  1. so basically about the only good looking thing on my car? i still like your exhaust and im desperate to leave this HKS exhaust in for a DUal exhaust set up. :(
  2. Me? If so then I have no idea as I puchased it with the car. :) Maybe someone else knows :p
  3. cheers for the help mateys, by the way do you have any of these in stock JeffTT? i don't mind soldering but would prefer to change the unit :)
  4. yeah when i saw the gearbox i was a bit like........... "thats postman pat's gearbox" cheers for the input anyway buddy, hopefully other will notice the thread and confirm to which switch it is. will start my journal tomorrow :thumbup1:
  5. by the way.... can i fix neutral switch or don;t i need it? it came directly out of another members zed when their engine went
  6. i havn't lol.. came like that, considering that it wont be seen i have no idea, maybe just to make purchase appearance better ... haha :p
  7. got my car in the garage after spending all early morning emptying rubbish into skip, cleaned garage floor then it took 7 of us to reverse car up a slight slope into a garage. after putting gearbox away securely i noticed something.............. something is perhaps missing from side of Gearbox. pictures below taken from phone; anybody know what part this may be?
  8. sorry to hijack but............. I WANT THAT BUMPER!!!......... what bumper is that? first bumper i have seen on a zed and said that i like
  9. it does run but as i left it off road for a while i prefer not to mess about starting it and stopping it. ALso due to a Turbo water pipe feed leaking i prefer not to take any chances until most things are changed. I have on order.. silicone piping to change all pipes i see and enough for Water bypass, Lower and upper Injector o-rings (will test injectors) Gaskets for Plenum, gaskets for throttle bodies, another gasket for something else (forgot) Vac pipe kit, New Thermostat, viscous fan. also looking to get PCV valves and bypass AIV, bypass EGR. then everntually New loom.......... once most of the above are fitted and gearbox changed to manual then i will start her up *back to your question.......... technically then,,, its not running as such
  10. unfortunatly i didnt get much help on that subject as their was another zed there having loads of money spent and i personally felt like he didnt have the time or patience and that my car was "in the way" other than that i will try to have a look at what is broken... maybe when im taking it out i could get in contact with forum again and see what you lot think? is there any other way of testing sensor with engine off?
  11. i most certainly am pedro! although looking at my old posts i have just remembered something........... garage told me my DET sensor is broken!............. i would of been pissed if i put engine back together and then realised..... only problem is........... whats the cheapest way of getting a replacement? :(
  12. ok cool, ill let you know how it goes:scooter:
  13. cheers Funkysi, by the way what does the float look like? also can i test its leaking without engine on? etc turning quite fast? ill have a ponder over the weekend as this skip is here and the garage is clearn ready for me to reverse car into garage and start work. i will be updating with pictures throughout my work
  14. like above, i plan to change this anyway but is there actually any way to test if water pump is bad?
  15. i don't have a canon but i have a Nikon D90 and i must say to be honest you don't really want to use the screen than for lazy photos otherwise you may aswell buy a normal flash lcd camera. The viewfinder does help make steadier pictures and only really use screen for seeing what my pictures came out like. All the settings you select will show at the bottom of the screen in the viewfinder anyway. i always use manual zoom however my wife likes to flick it into motor zoom as she is just a casual and regular user. i do agree it would be a nifty feature... havnt found out yet (as you are also aware these things have millions of options) but my wife would definatly use the screen for taking pictures as she is less worried about perfections But good luck with your camera and i hope you enjoy it, we enjoy taking walks and taking random scenic pictures now and have just ordered my macro lens :p lets us know if you find the settings :) Damien
  16. well if you ever want an auto box to work on you can have mine for free as it will just be standing there once my manual is in. that is........... if you actually are serious.......... lol :) of course....i still think you are pulling our legs :p
  17. ah so that has everything i need to get started except the two plugs and fuses that i would wire them with?
  18. i went to screw fix today and asked them what i needed as there were so many things and they said "dunno" which doesn't help. i think at this rate i will buy a site light and hang it from the beam! :( once i find out what parts i need ill give it another go, any ideas as? would one or two of these be enough? cant see them being bright enough for night time engine work http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=9293534&fh_view_size=10&fh_location=//catalog01/en_GB&fh_search=flourescent&fh_eds=%C3%9F&fh_refview=search&ts=1270055582441&isSearch=true
  19. yeah i have ceiling beams but it was a gym and so has boxing bag brackets permanently bolted in. i will have a ponder at screwfix and b&Q today :)
  20. were they easy to fit? The garage cieling is pretty much asbestos so thought of maybe mounting it on the wall.. p.s where is the cheapest place to pick one up? cheers
  21. Cool. I'll give it a go Friday
  22. anyone know how i can get a fluorescent light in my garage without wiring up switches? just want to get one in there that uses a plug so i can run extension down there when i need it. if this is not viable then can someone else recommend a fairly cheap alternative so that i can work on my zed in the garage come day or night? something bright enough that can plug into extension. garage currently has no light or power without me running cable down there cheers
  23. got everything with the zed starting this weekend and i hear its meant to be raining all weekend???? FFS!!!!!!!!! on a good note, ill have to try and salvage a garage light so i can work on it in the dark :)
  24. top picture is not working :p EDIT: ok it is now..... stupid work pc!
  25. this is also what i wondered could be done as i would like to get them hidden but someone told me before that i dont want them there as they get too hot and would last a quarter of the life they did on top???? i hope not as i too would like to do this legrath
