Car is in D2
got my car in D2 having Manual Conversion but hoping he can solve my main gripe with a second long hesitation that i get doing Wide Open Throttle for more that 5-6 seconds. can;t overtake very well now and is embarrasing. Some people thought Boost leak but quite a few said that it would be present all the time and mine is not. happens only with having foot down hard and is fine anywhere from 0 - 50MPH can anyone else recommend what i should look at. this is very important to me and after having this issue for a year i would like all the help i can get to get rid of this problem before i seriously cry! i am kind of guessing its Fuel related and one of my guesses is the fuel pump but what do you think?
-
Name whats wrong with your car at the mo
Mine is hesitation at wide open throttle and only happens at 60mph + and when i have foot down hard afted 6 seconds. guessing its fuel related. Othee problem is mileage meter sropped working. Had these since getting car over a year ago and not being able to overtake is driving me insane :) The Annoying thing is NO-ONE has been able to solve the hesitation that is only present on WOT. but Darren at D2 in on the case and i hope he is able to diagnose what is wrong

Dash Gauge V2 vs Triple Pillar Gauge
the only dash one i like is the Zcentre V2 dahs mounted one in the link above :)
-
Dash Gauge V2 vs Triple Pillar Gauge
well yes. that is also the other factor. personally i will be the last owner of this car as i decided with my wife that it is pointless selling as i would only want another (already done that) and worst comes to worse i can always find a dash from a breaker first so that i know i can revert should i need to :) but i can see your point and to be honest its making me favour the DIM setup a little bit. i really have a problem liking the pillar. :(

Z centre Gauges
was the mechanical boost gauge easy to install?
-
boost gauge. Mech or electronical?
getting electronic gauges for water temp and oil pressure but can;t tell whether its best to get electrical or mechanical boost gauge for the 300zx :( anyone recommend what's best and what's easiest to install?
-
Z centre Gauges
i looked at the prosports gauges and they really are nice! but at £120 doe 3 gauges its a bit steep this month with paying car and that. guess i will hold onto the thought of getting them as they really do look cool. especially with the start up ceremony
-
Z centre Gauges
were they easy to fit and if i buy boost, water temp and engine pressure do they come with everything needed to set up?

Dash Gauge V2 vs Triple Pillar Gauge
whats Piano black? is it the black with a bit of a glossy look? i'm presuming this is ready to just spray over?

Dash Gauge V2 vs Triple Pillar Gauge
can;t decide between the dash mounted triple gauge or a Triple Pillar Gauge set. I often think the Pillars look cheesy and the thought of hitting them with my head made me think the dash V2 from zcentre would be more subtle and look better. What do you lot think would look better? Dash Mounted V2 from zcentre painted to my cars colour? http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=155&category_id=73&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7 or Triple Pillar Gauge set? http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.s-tuningparts.com/shop/images/300zx%2520pod.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.s-tuningparts.com/shop/index.php%3Fmain_page%3Dindex%26cPath%3D394_404_416_871&usg=__v_lgq6r5hyUiOKOFAa1RxieLTRk=&h=274&w=360&sz=9&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=lbvEyjTNCDlshM:&tbnh=163&tbnw=235&prev=/images%3Fq%3D300zx%2Bpillar%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1054%26bih%3D637%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=155&vpy=94&dur=454&hovh=235&hovw=308&tx=193&ty=101&ei=erRuTKX1KpCRjAeksaT6CA&oei=cbRuTPK6EdGG4QbzvbneCA&esq=4&page=1&ndsp=12&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0

Z centre Gauges
Well ive really been looking at getting this and spraying the front part to match my car's colour. http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=155&category_id=73&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7 now when i rang up the nice gentleman said that if i buy any other gauges from somewhere else i am likely just to have them light up and not have any function.... only problem is his gauges are a bit pricey :( anyone know some fairly reasonable 52mm gauges that WILL work with my 300zx? or will any gauges? looking for water temp, boost and oil pressure cheers

Im worried I hate Hospitals
you will be ok buddy, Me and my wife are under Private health care with her job and not only would you be ok in NHS but you will feel especially fine in BUPA. it feels a bit more personal and they will make you feel at ease instead of the feeling of being rushed out for the next patient. overall there isnt much they do that NHS wont but it is just the service you recieve that makes it all the more worthwile. like i said, try to relax as you will be fine but if you can't calm down then they will do a good job of helping you :) good luck buddy

5 hours on the plenum so far.... (pic heavy)
bah! this thing is annoying me now. i have until friday to finish it. the sanding drum i used made newer scratches so i am having to go over it again :( i wish i could just pay someone to sand it now >.

Would Bead blasting be able to smooth the plenum?
Im using my big drill. Since getting sanding drums working ive takled most of the plenum in the last few.hours. not doing underneath or too much detail at the back as i need it done by friday. Just gotta go through the grades now

Would Bead blasting be able to smooth the plenum?
:saddam: :lol::lol::lol::lol: whooops!
-
Would Bead blasting be able to smooth the plenum?
i have a dremel and a dremel sanding kit but the sanding rolls dont stay on the sanding barrels :( which makes it impossible to sand. i have had quotes from shot blasting and bead blasting but im aware that i should avoid sand blasting on the plenum. Hoping Bead blasting will take down the pits in the gaps of the chambers :(
-
Would Bead blasting be able to smooth the plenum?
got a quote in rayleigh to sand my plenum in the places i cant reach with a bead blaster. Said he will do it for £20 however looking at the web gives me mixed results. Moost places say Bead blasting wont smooth any areas as it is not harsh enough :( can anyone comment if this is true or not and wether there is any other thing i can do or pay for to do the smoothing of the plenum ready for me to polish?
