few bits of help please
Yeah i gave some in the kit. I also am ordering 4 Cam Seals and already supplied a water pump. Thermostat, Newer Viscous Fan, Water Bypass Kit. Wanted to get My DET sensor done aswell but i didn;t ask them to remove lower plenum. As far as im aware the DET sensor harness is the only thing i can change with upper plenum off??? apart from that i can't think of what else to do whilst upper plenum is off. My list so far is: Water bypass kit fitted, (supplied) Remove any other pipes that are not needed. ETC EGR DELETE Gearbox conversion (supplied) Vac pipes changed. (supplied Vac lines) Check regarding mileage meter not working. (rewire? might be Speed Sensor) Gearbox does not have Neutral Switch (ordering one) MOT Steering rack split (supplied) Steering gets heavy after 30 secs of driving and is heavy until next restart. Turbo waterpipe feed replaced or fixed (leak at rear of engine low down) Water pump fitted (supplied) Cambelt kit fitted (supplied) think thats about all that can be done with plenum off?

few bits of help please
Got my car in a garage doing work, Having gearbox conversion carried out aswell as cambelt kit and water pump changed, thermostat changed, EGR removed and any other junk not needed like my Hicas Solenoids (hicas removed) i have been advised by a mate to get the cam seals done as they are cheap and worth doing whilst down there. i already have vac pipes and water bypass kit to be fitted and replaced Can anyone advise me on what else could/should be done that is simple whilst front is off? i can then order parts and send them to mechanic :):red_indian:

Wooooohooo!!! Im sooo excited!!!!
yeah getting loads done and for decent price, just hoping he can finally sort out my main gripe...... the WOT power loss, had it since buying car, after 6 seconds of WOT the car stops pulling for a second which makes it embarrassing to overtake. the fella reckons it could be fuel pump related as a boost leak would be playing about constantly. any ideas to check before i go? MAF seems fine, Apparently boost leaks were sorted from my last mechanic, i do have a DET sensor warning now, however i had the exact same problem prior to the warning starting to show. reckon it could be the 3rd fuel pump stage not activating? i would really like this problem sorted once and for all :)

After all this time sitting at my car the past Year i have decided to bite the bullet and put some money to get the car done by a specialist and get it all done and back on the road. Going tomorrow :thumbup1::thumbup1::thumbup1::thumbup1: I seriously cant wait to get this car back on the road and enjoying it again. Will let you know my experience with the mechanic i use after, i have all faith in the company and look forward to doing more business with them in the future :) Can't hardly SLEEP!!!!!

cracks in timing belt
lets put it this way ................ my last zed had a cambelt service done and although the belt lasted it was the original belt and had never been changed. last car only done 46k miles but the belt was still 18 years old. :) and that one DIDN'T have any cracks . so like others have said it is not worth the risk :) hope yo find somewhere local and reliable . regards

need some more advice
ok, after having trouble removing plenum i got some advice from a fellow zedder and will attempt to get the last few bits off and free the plenum. only problem is i am aiming to remove the Hicas solenoids/pumps (as i have the locking bar) and remove as much junk as possible. when looking at removing the HICAS part in the engine bay i could see the thing shared a pipe with the resevior pot. my question is......... if i plan to install a manual gearbox, clutch and clutch booster, remove AIV, EGR etc what pipes do i need to pick up? I can see that i need something to stop the REsovior connecting to the Hicas unit so i am trying to build a list of how many return/non return valves i should think about picking up. i am trying to make sense but i will try t clarify further if i am not clear enough cheers

electric guitar knowledge :)
ok so i have been learning on acoustic for a while and i was recently given a free electric guitar which looks sweet and an amp. it is hit and miss and whilst i have the guitar plugged in a get a buzz/pop and occasional hiss (can't moan for free) it sounds like bad earthing but i have checked the guitar and it seems fine. i think its the rather old AMP. does anyone have any knowledge on changing power tubes or etc? just thought i would try to fix it before i buy a new one cheers

need help with regards to waterpump
bought a waterpump off a fellow zedder and got it in post lovely jubbly and bloody fast. only problem is when looking at fitting guides on this forum i can see a big difference in the size of the belt drive on the water pump. mine looks quite a bit smaller :( would this mean my pump wont fit at all or would it fit but turn at a rate too fast? i will get pictures after work. hoping i can use it :(
