Smoking (1st July 2007)
hey i'm a happy chappy, but smoking is my main grudge bear :wack: the sad thing is i do think at some point it will be banned completly which is wrong, if people want to kill themselves then its upto them, who am i to tell them they cant do it if it makes them feel good :) but all i'm saying is it affects me so keep it away from me :D cant say fairer than that Mike

Smoking (1st July 2007)
I believe that after a slight lull in trade in scotland and ireland its now gone from strength to strength and it will do over here as well, yes it may drive out the smokers who wont obey the law but in their place will be the people who have stayed away because of the smokers :) this is pubs i'm talking about. lets face it smoking IS anti social and shouldnt be subjected to people who dont smoke so everyone should embrace it rather than slag it off, no ones saying you cant do your smelly/bad for your health/expensive habit LOL and if i catch someone breaking the law it wont be me with 2 black eyes but that person may have be able to start smoking out of their ass once i shove the fags and lighter well and truely up there :D

Smoking (1st July 2007)
i suppose a beer garden is a difficult one because if its got walls round then technically isnt it an enclosed space?? i cant wait, be nice to go to the local as usual on a friday night and not come home stinking and my eyes and throat sore from all the smoke!!!

Jun Stroker
aye nothing worse than a stained bottom end   i agree but to be honest its alot of money to spend when you can gain all the power needed from a stock cranks, i can only see it being viable if you have unlimited pockets or you really want your zed to rev to 9000 revs so i suppose if its a top speed machine your after then this maybe worth while!! 200+++ mph anyone :D
-
Jun Stroker
i had heard that hyper sports were building a 300zx with a full jun stroker and 20g turbos but not heard much else since???
-
Jun Stroker
lol beat me to it
-
Jun Stroker
http://www.junauto.co.jp/products/cylinderblock-part/crankshaft/vg30.html?en tbh a waste of money, the stock crank is more than enough for any power you can throw at it ;) its about 6 or 7k if not more to get the full stroker kit!!

Coilover ride
i think most will have alot harder ride over stock, even on the softest settings, ive been in a car with hks which wasnt too bad, ohlins were pretty harsh and the tein flex was pretty harsh as well, if i was doing it again i would buy the tein street coilovers, ive been in a skyline with them and they were superb, on soft it was near stock feel and was pretty harsh on hard with i think 16 settings so a "good all rounder" and i think you can get them from the USA for about £4-500 squids :) Mike

Japanese Auto Extravaganza
i think all this has stemmed from there being so little interest from the Z club at JAE, think there was 2 or 3 cars there last year and i would imagine the Z club have driven the new event at billing and we are following?? i think it was the worse thing JAE ever did moving from billing as it was simply the best event of the year saying that apart from the storm last year at peterborough was a good weekend, just a shame there was a few who spoilt it (you know who you are LOL) be a real shame if JAE gets forgotten over the next few years and i think the other meeting should have been thought about better and moved to another month?? august?? anyway thats life :D Mike

Help needed, opinions on cause

Who's this then?
if someone was building a high power car and had say £10k to spend then your car is well worth buying, just needs brakes/suspension sorting to handle the power and then the engine management and duel intake but if you went say AEM then you wouldnt need 2 x AFM's anyway. good luck with it, looks a nice car Mike
-
Who's this then?
be interesting to see the answers to the questions i have asked LOL if they come back positive i may buy it myself LMAO Mike
-
Who's this then?
its certainly got the spec to run well over 500 rwhp!! my main concern would be engine management at that power, a simple chip would not surfice!! apart from that it looks like a fantastic buy (if its been built well)

setting boost
just be careful, listed for the det (like popcorn cooking) or have a lower setting on your boost controller and use that when its really warm, you shouldnt really have any issues if you have the correct cooling ie uprated intercoolers Mike
-
My Greddy Turbos
clutch & flywheel - £600 injectors - £400 intercoolers - £600 rad - £280 suspension - £500 ecu remap - £100 or standalone ecu and map - £1600 brakes - £800 boost controller - £300 gauges - £200 dual intake - £300 obviously your gonna need to remove the engine and fit the stuff or get someone to do it so you need to allow for between £2k and £3k for labour i would have thought!! Not cheap to mod LOL
-
My Greddy Turbos
you did buy them as part of a kit didnt you?? ie manifolds, wastegates etc?? if not then its going to be more expensive to get the rest of the kit than to buy a complete kit :( if you do have the rest of the kit then as the others have said, built engine, min of 555's, ecu or ecu remap, intercoolers, rad, brakes, suspension, and no doubt a few more bits and bobs LOL Mike

Fathers Day

Any car audio Guru's?
TBH its easier to remove the front facia and remove it all out together, theres a few places you can earth it to behind the stereo :)
-
Any car audio Guru's?
Hi Pete In the past if ive had this ive run an extra earth from the rear of the stereo, from memory theres a bracket holding the screen and head unit together anyway so just undo them and run an earth to the chassis :) HTH Mike
