last time we took one out took us about 2 1/2 hours from starting to it being on the engine stand :p then again we have done it a few times :tongue:

i dont think its as much to do with pressure loss but also fuel temp, by the time its gone round the rail the temp will have increased massively so i would guess its either just the increased temp of the fuel or the temp effects the fuel pressure?

i bet you cant drive that car round town like you can with the bugatti, and i think the bugatti being a VW will be pretty realiable where as a yank car :wack: and will the yank car go round a corner :p i actually got to see a veron on the road the other day, passed me on the M6 at preston, very nice indeed :)

Do we have a stand? theres usually been a good turn out on the zed stand and its usually (weather depending) one of the best shows of the year? Machine and myself will be there and his pentroof zed is taking pride of place on the japanese performance magazine stand on the sunday. Be a shame if we dont even have a club stand there this year!! i would have usually agreed but its been one thing after another and if truth be known it wasnt a good zed to start with, in fact i would go as far as to say that bird was ripped off when he bought it, it needs engine work, body work etc etc etc and he has already thrown loads of money into it so to get it to a decent stage ie good bodywork and mechanically sound your talking 3-4k which can buy you a cracking zed nowadays. sorry to say and please dont take this the wrong way bird but you cant polish a turd LOL invest the money into something that someone else has already invested the money and lost the money on it ie bodywork and even been rebuilt etc its a buyers market so invest your money wisely bud Mike

trust me matey i'm not protecting him in any way but as you know its not quite as clear cut as he sold you a duff engine (sorry duffers) but as you said it matters not anymore its what you do from now on. i just think that once your looking at a rebuild and to put things right which your not going to see much change from 2-3k so i think you would be better plowing that money into a better zed to start with, just my opinion bud but pm me your address and i will stick the core plugs in the post Mike

i think he has just been really busy at work but no the car is fine, just waiting to hear back from simon as jap performance mag want the car on their stand at santa pod jap show next month :)

if it helps i have some new core plugs if you want them LOL also ossian is correct, theres no way a core plug would have a hole it it unless its seriously corroded whih has nothing really to do with who, where etc supplied the engine. also just to add, i know for a fact that no one has seen or heard from mr nolan, i tried to contact him last year but without success and i was a friend of his :( to be honest bud i would seriously think of starting again with a new car, break yours up to get some of your money back and buy one thats decent to start with, theres plenty around, your just wasting money after money on what is if your honest a pretty crap 300zx to start with. sorry if that sounds harsh but i'm just thinking of you and your pocket bud Mike

a lot of the other forums have a full feedback system?? why cant we?? we have pleny of money in the pot so why not invest some upgrading the site? i'm sure members would approve it :) also on the supra club as well as having feedback, they have a dispute section where if someone is not happy with a transaction they post it in there and the mods that look after the section post up to say they have seen it and pm'd the other party but the best bit is only the people involved can post in the section and if its not sorted within a certain time the member can get a life ban!! Not actually true, some of the latest dual BB turbos spool up amazingly quickly, for example the T04Z that a friend of mine has on his skyline hits full boost which is 1.6 bar by 3400 revs and makes just over 600 AWHP which is about 750-800 at the fly and jesus it makes for one mazing street car, also some of the supra buys using the new garrett 4080 turbos are getting full boost under 3000 revs. With regards to the zed, as its been said its just not design friendly to try it, yes its possible but by the time you run a manifold round to the passanger side, then fabricate it to go where the AC comp goes, them you need either a single plenum or run the twin plenum into a twin in and single out intercooler, then theres the problem of the radiator position etc etc so for £2k!!! i dont think so, i think once you start adding it up it will cost quite a few times more than that, but its certainly possible but i would stick with a pair of twins :)

I really dont want to buy one as i only want to play and finish Halo 3 :cool: So looking to borrow one for a few weeks. I know its sad but its my favourite game and i did originally but a 360 to play it when it was meant to be out last year but got fed up waiting LOL anyway its out in a few weeks. Quite happy to buy the game and supply the game to the owner FOC so you get a £50 game free :) If not then sod the lot of ya :tongue: Mike

Its certainly cheaper but be careful what you say, the 300 degree rail is quite obviously a copy of the border rail so all the crap on TT.net thats spouted is just that...crap, border are one of the most respected manufacturers of jap performance parts in japan so i doubt thats its that flawed and lets face it, most of the high performance 300zx cars in the world run the border rail ;) so its not that bad but yes its expensive but when you see one you can see where your money has gone. As long as they have done a good job on the 300 degree rail then i see no reason why it cant perform as good as the border rail :) and as i said as long as it does perform then its a bargain at the price ;) Mike

there is but i wouldnt go down that route!! all i can say is keep a look out for a set of second hand ones :)

all depends on how much power your realisticly going for, if your going for 450-500 bhp then 550's will be more than enough, if your going for more than that (which is not easy LOL) then you may want to look at the 300 degree rail or the border rail with 850cc injectors :)

even if it was new you would need some serious fuel pressure for a zed pump to supply enough fuel for 600 rwhp

with the aem you just dont set up the fuel cut and it will pop for fun. to be honest once you have no cats and a good free flowing exhaust you should get flames from a turbo'd car, obviously helps if its over fueling a little
