i would steer clear, nismo didnt make metal head gaskets for the 300zx so something is wrong LOL

sad thing is its becoming more common :( mate of mine who fits windows has been done a few times!! last time was last christmas, fitted £4k's worth of windows and when he'd finished and went for the money the guy just said "sorry bud spent the money on presents you will have to take me to court for it" smiled at the guy and slammed the door in his face :mad: Worse thing is he cant spent the time off work to take him to court and he cant go on his property to rip his windows out so he just walks away. If it was me i would just rather smash al the windows or roof, what can he say?? he hasnt paid you so its yours ;)

Mine passed no problems at all and i know of loads and loads of supras and skyline which run screemer pipes and are road legal, i think there only not legal if they vent say to the side? but my car had its MOT at a normal MOT centre and passed with flying colours :) Plus they sound ace :dance:

other than the downpipes you dont need any other work?? the external wastegates are meant to be vented into the atmosphere not back into the exhaust system!! only pussy's do that :tongue:

sorry just remembered your also missing some elbows that fit on the end of the turbos hot side, the relevent silicon couplers and the most costly bits you seem to be missing is the 3 bolt downpipes!! i would say with the above need buying (unless you have these) then your more looking at the £1500 mark as you need to spend a good £500 on bits to make it fit. your just missing some gaskets, wastegate pipes and the turbo oil pipes but to be honest these items are pretty easy and cheap enough to buy. Price wise, second hand stuff is not easy to sell so depending on who's out there wanting to buy them i would say there worth between £1500 and £2000 for the full kit. Mike

i'm trying to get a really good all rounder which looks nice and but is also compact etc so far after reading mags, websites etc etc etc i have come up with a short list. Fuji FinePix F31fd £120 Nikon Coolpix P5000 £199 Panasonic DMC FX50 £169 Sony DSC-N2 £199 Canon IXUS 75 £163 the short list if made up of just a combination of good quality and good all rounders, i was suprised that a cheaper camera made it in there as its a little basic and ugly but it does what it says on the tin type camera LOL If anyone has any experience of these cameras please let me know :) Mike

I'm not really up on cameras, ive got a kodak easy share 7.1mp cameral at the moment which is ok but its just not great but i have not a clue what to buy?? Ive bought a few mags and been on a few websites but they all seem to be completly different, i presume like alot of the home cinema mags that there biased towards certain makes. Anyway not after one of them big bulky ones, needs to be pretty small but want a good quality one :) Not really got a budget but obviously nothing silly money LOL Any ideas welcome :p Mike

it will all come down to who buys into what, i suppose its like vhs vs beta!! i would imagine that HD will win over as the blu ray is sony only and to get it from sony i would imagine would cost alot of money and with HD dvd's now under £500 (think the tosh was voted about the best so far) you can only see it going one way, saying that blu ray via my ps3 was mind blowing on my new plasma. just make sure you get yourself a true 1080 projector not one that will upscale!! i was watching a demo film on the new sony 1080 lcd via the new sony blu ray dvd player (released later this year) and it made my set up look crap, it really blew me away it was the best quality ive ever seen!! so if thats the quality sony are going to go with then who knows :) Mike

i think when it says silver bands it means its shielded so it will have like tin foil round the black wire your looking for, the other black is a ground. Mike

i have a dvd quality copy but its missing about 10 minutes from the first disc :( its a great film and i will be going to the flicks to see it as well :)

Well carrying on from my pi55ed off thread of losing a car which i was buying for work as i'm opting out in september when my car is due. Just had a call from the leasing company saying my car will be going on the 23rd July :eek: So that gives me 5 days to get hold of a car :confused: So even more pi55ed off that i lost the perfect car for the job :( On a brighter note, while tidying up i finally plucked up the courage to bin those nasty dried flower arrangements which my wifes loves which were at the side of the fireplace so imagine my amazement when i'm tipping the vase upside down into the bin when loads of £20 notes fall into the bin :confused: The it all came back to me, 2 years ago when i sold my skyline the guy came to look at the car and left me a deposit of £300 but we were on our way out for a meal so i shoved it in there for safe keeping and completly forgot about it :rofl: Happy days Mike

not at all bud, in fact some of the smaller ones like the 4088r can give 550 rwhp and make FULL boost by 3200 rpm :eek: turbo technology is fantastic at the moment just look at the new porka 911 turbo with its vvt turbos, that puppy hits full boost at around 2200 revs hence why its so quick and no real lag at all :) dont get me wrong once your up into the 600+ bhp area then your talking lag, the good old T88 turbos dont see much boost below 4500 revs but by 5500 revs all hell breaks loose, the new hks T51 turbos are similar in lag but the smaller one can make 750 rwhp and the bigger one a 1000 bhp :hyper: but again not much below 5000 revs Mike

I know what you mean and if it had been say a trader then not a problem but the old guy knew i wanted the car, i'd had several conversations about it and he'd commented that he would like it to go to me as i will be keeping it for a while etc also i only live 10 miles away so it was ideal!? if i'd said i was coming to view it then fair enough but i'd arranged a time and everything to buy it. I'm so pi55ed of at the moment :nono: Due to have picked up my new work horse car about an hour ago but the old couple selling the Laguna have sold it to someone else :( Spoke to them a few days ago about the car but didnt commit to buying it, then when i knew my car had sold i spoke to the guy yesterday to say as long as its "as described" then i will buy it tomorrow, the old guy was made up and was glad it was going to a good home etc, took all the details and arranged for me to pick it up at 12 today. Just about to set off when i get a call from the woman to say sorry someone came this morning and bought it :rant: when i asked if it had been arranged before they said no but first come first serve which to a certain degree i agree with but where are peoples morals nowadays?? the car was perfect, low mileage, they had owned it from new etc Oh well back to the drawing board, hope they have ugly grand kids :rofl:

??? do you have a link? getting 450 is possible but not at the wheels, and it would need to be a uk car as they have standard 550cc injectors and steel turbos which are good for 1.2 bar and ive seen close to 400 rwhp, to get this all you pretty much have to do with BPU is exhaust, twin decat, restrictor ring set to 1.2 bar in the exhaust, uprated fuel pump as the supra pump is crap, FCD and uprated plugs and thats pretty much it :) if you do have a uk you can get over 500 rwhp for about £1k :eek: Mike

Ahh the old gearbox thing LOL the cheapest way is the OS Giken gear set which is good for upto 7-800 bhp but is a normal cut box, i had a word with Rod and he can do the kit fitted in a box (box not supplied) for £3k the next option is the PPG kit which is a dog box, no idea on what power it will hold but no dount it will be cluncky and loud but should be strong, think the last time i looked it was about £3k for the gear kit so then you need a box and it fitting so your looking at around £4k the next your looking at the hollinger 6 speed sequancial box which is where your getting serious, the box is about £7k and you need the tomie adapter to fit it and no doubt an uprated input shaft etc so again your looking at around £9-10k once you have it. the last option and this is where i was looking is fitting a skyline OS Giken 6 speed seq box, good for 1300 bhp and well proven, main problem is obviously its meant for a 4wd system so you need to plate up and remove the cog driving the front drive shaft but apart from that it will bolt straight up to a zed engine and you would possibly need a custom prop but price wise a new box is about £7k but you can get them second hand rebuilt for about £5k thats pretty much it :nana2:

yeh have passed all the info onto the lease company so no doubt they will take it up with the council :smash:
