my guess would the crank angle sensor, try borrowing one? as this controls the spark it would point to this :)

the one in saudi was a supra engine which to be honest is an easier conversion and much cheaper to tune so this would be the thing i would do. if your doing the skyline engine the RB25 would be alot easier but if you want the RB26 then you would need to get the gearbox and transfer box but remove and plate where it goes to the front prop shaft. do'able but hard work when you consider that you will need to spend at least 4-5k for a decent RB26 engine and box etc, best bet would be to pick up a cheap R32 GTR, maybe a crached one and strip it for its loom, etc etc

the problem you get is if you try to push them beyond the max air they will move then they will be just creating hot air which will actually produce lower BHP!! so he may actually get more power at say 16psi than 19psi, i know i certainly did on my car due to the size of the turbo pipework which was restricting the air flow and i made more power at 1.2 bar than i did at 1.6 bar :confused: Mike

hks 2.8 engine hks t51 kai turbo special one off v mount rad, intercooler hks air shifter gearbox and lots and lots of special one off stuff that was specially made for this car by hks :)

dont get me wrong, all respect to him for what he does ie drives very very well etc but you ask anyone in the skyline world and as much as he gets respect he also is a dick LOL i think alot of it is about how he goes about his business, he is very out spoken and upsets alot of people, i'm sure he dont give a shite what me and others think but you read some of the stuff he writes or interviews he has given!! i remember him once walking over to me and chris (getgreddy) who had some doluck rims on his car that he imported from the usa and he wanted chris to take them off or he would sue him as he is the sole importer of them rims :rofl: thats the sort he is ;) Mike

yeh its nice if you have unlimited funds to build a drag car LOL hks built it for him and its not even running full power as yet and its not running on its big turbo yet so its without a doubt a 7 second car and i would say its pushing for the world record for a skyline the guy's still a dick though :)

LOL i think ive done about as much as a could in a 300zx so its time for a change, dont get me wrong of something like the pentroof car came up it would really put the car amongst the pigeons but decent cars like that are one in a million, missed out on a swb zed a few months ago running 800 rwhp but the bidding went silly and went for over £20k in the end to a dealer in denmark :smash:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leading on from my which diesel car i have been crunching numbers and have come up with a few ideas so wanted to get peoples opinions. We have recently moved so i didnt really want to get into anymore debt but just found out its likely that due to the house market in our area still trying to catch up on the prices its likely that even though ive only been here 6 months it looks like ive made around 40-50k on the house so i'm thinking of releasing some of the money. I get an allowance from my company which would cover any loan so as its stands my options are: Sell/trade my diesel laguna and buy something else diesel but a really nice one like a newish audi or bmw? Keep the laguna as a work horse and get myself a toy ie single supra or skyline gtr? Dont be silly and stay out of debt? Looking to get around £20k but spend £5k on the garden and the wife wants to get rid of her 206 gti and get an old skool mini cooper which is worth a similar amount to her car give or take a grand or two so it leaves me with my car which is worth circa £5-6k and around £13k Mike

my guess would be possibly air in the water system to make it over heat and either the manifold/turbo/downpipe is loose or not tightened up so its blowing badly which will make is sound bad and cause it to boost badly? only way is to get it in the air and have a good look and check all the bolts etc etc Mike

Dont be put off by tosser keyboard warriers mate!! was a shame as it was a good all round turn out and some great racing :) Hopefully next year all the events will be better arranged and will lead to more people going to make us a big club like we used to be, not having a go at anyone but of late its gone from a club which had one of the biggest turn outs of all the jap clubs to being one where one or two people come which is a damm shame :( Onwards and upwards :p

Must say it was dissapointing to see so little 300zx's there and even more to see where the club stand was!! in some farmers field about 10 miles away from the track :rofl: Saw a couple of zeds run on the track, yellow one and a red one. Nice to speak to you Pete ;) Simons car looked well on the jap performance stand and was getting alot of attention :cool: I forgot my camera, took a few pics on my phone so will post them up when i work out how to get them off :D Mike
