  1. yeh but the veron is nearly £1m english pounds the gtr is going to be around £60k and rising upto around £75k for the top spec one so its going squarly at the porka market i recon ;)
  2. exactly, i did look at the st tdci which is 2.2 and 155 bhp and i could get a nearly new one but i think i would rather get a year or two older and get an audo or bmw. Mark, you and your volvo's LOL i'm sure your on commission :p tbh i did look at the v50 and find that possibly the nicest looking model and you can get a fairly new one for a veyr good price but something inside me tells me i would get the p1ss taken for getting one
  3. Well finally decided to not be too silly and not get a toy but to get a better car for my daily use for work and play :) Needs to be diesel, needs to be an estate for the dog but needs to be a bit more involved than my laguna LOL Pretty much got it down to 2 types of cars Audi A4 Avant 2.5 Quattro - 180 bhp or BMW 330D Touring - 204 bhp Now i know the bmw is more powerful but it also does less MPG than the audi and the bmw is alot smaller inside the boot area, then again i only have the dog to go in there, its not like i shift coffins  So unless theres anything ive missed on the market for around £15k ish then which ones the best one?? who has had one and can comment? All advice appreciated as its going to be a major family purchase so needs to be right :) Mike ps these pics are just for examples, but they are both around £15k and the right models ;)
  4. none as theres only 12 i think coming to this country and most of which will go into these car clubs you pay £100k odd a year to be part of and the rest will go to people who already have bugatti's etc so i seriously doubt you will see a footballer in one ;) then again i believe simon cowell has one now LOL
  5. yeh he finally got it and it looks like he's keeping this one as he's got his "jason" plate on it ;) be an interesting race :nana2:
  6. yes its micks lemon :) to be honest when it was bought over here it was never running the power it was meant to as it was damaged so it was not running anywhere near 1000 bhp in the vid, since mick got it it had to have loads of work done to bring it upto spec and it does now run around 900 bhp and is a 9 sec car on the strip now :) Mike
  7. saw one on the M6 a few days ago and yes i think fron the front its not the nicest cat you can buy but lets face it you dont really buy it for its looks ;) theres not many cars that can do 250 mph :) theres a guy who lives near me who has a lambo Murcielago in orange and it is stunning but he has also just had delivered a Zonda F and you should hear it  if sex had a sound it would be the zonda :D
  8. Be a shame to see it broken up buddy as its a nice car but its upto you in the end, you will get more money for the car breaking it, thats a fact but its a lot of hastle doing it and its very time consuming. If you dont really need the money they sell it "as is" I still think it would fetch a decent price anyway :) Mike
  9. i disagree, its amazing what a try can do to uplift the team, i think after that wrong decision the heads went down!! who ever scored the first try was always going to win over now ;)
  10. Hmmm I used to play rugby and i counted 3 penalties which we "should" have had and there was nothing wrong with the try :nono: it was bloody close but he should give advantage to the attacking team which he clearly did not  Saying that we were useless on the scrums and lineouts and thats where we lost it, if we had performed on these we would have had a chance!! we gave away silly penalties ourselves which lost us the game. Was certainly a game we should have won and its a shame that it will be remembered for the 4th refs decision!! Again saying that from the last time we played them we have improved a great deal but no one remembers the runners up LOL Mike
  11. no them turbos simply wont reach anywhere near that power!! dnt believe the usa bhp 725's will make 600 at the most ;) saying that after driving various cars from 300/400/500/600/700 etc bhp i would say a 500 rwhp is about right for a bloody fast street car, anything else is just getting laggy :D
  12. has to be said, why would a team of highly trained technitions do something as stupid as to use 2 sets of tyres!! its shite to get people excited about it and watch it as viewers have dwindled away over the last several years since it became boring?? makes me laugh about all these fines as well, who gets the money?? bernie i presume LOL he should be further up the rich list now mclaren have had that huge fine ;)
  13. There pretty much the same turbo :) All the new garrett gt range are good turbos so you cant go wrong with them really, to get the most make sure you have sus manifolds ;) you wont get 700-750 rwhp with those!! to get 700++ rwhp you will need either td06-20g's or if you want to go the garret way then the GT3071 turbos will get you close but both are pretty big turbos LOL so both will be pretty laggy and not see much below 4000 revs Mike
  14. motec are very very good but budget for about £4k for your zed to supply, fit and map it ;) you will need a new loom etc theres a few people now running similar setups so getting a good guestimate is pretty easy :) mac runs around 600 ish at the wheels on his 18g's running max boost and cj runs 530 at the hubs (hubs are somewhere in between wheels and fly) so i still stick with 500 at the wheels  to be honest if its a fast car you want then think more about weight rather than power, in a swb with some weight trimmed off and 500 rwhp it will be pretty interesting :D i should know, pauls red slicktop was running 16g's and it was mental :hyper:
  15. i would bet my house on it ;) with that setup you will maybe make 550+ at the fly give or take a few ponies :) depending on what rolling road you use around 500 at the wheels ish, again alot to do with the mapping to get the most out of your setup. will be a good very fast street'able car ;) Mike
  16. oh and the bill is now £622 for the 206
  17. cheers for that :smash: just got a call from the garage and when they went to take the suspension arms off to remove the gearbox the bolt that holds everything together has snapped  so a whole new hub now needs to go on but on the bright side its basically a bloody new car now  spent about £2k on a £3.5k car getting it to what i would class as perfect wrking order :slap: should have never encouraged her to pass her test and made her get a bus :D
  18. she was insured and saved me nearly £4k but when the renewal came through it went up over 4 times the price!! which is a little naughty so we did not renew it and with moving we had forgot about it and (touch wood) she's not done anything stupid for the last 6 months LOL always makes me wonder, when your just a normal customer who pays its not too much but when they know your insured it runs in the thousands :nono:
  19. Got up to find my boxer pup has a lump on her chin, she broke her jaw earlier this year so not worth taking a chance so straight to the vets where it turns out the pin has come loose and caused an infection :( so an operation later to remove the pin and wiring and she's fine but i'm £300 lighter :slap: Picking her up from the vets when the wife rings to say she's broken down and it turns out the clutch has gone :smash: so thats another £400 down the drain as i havnt got time to fix it and she needs it for work :mac1: So not done anything today and i'm £700 lighter.....well i say £700, ive just got back from the pub so theres another £40  Mike
  20. thats the one :D first time ive seen a car actually running the same turbos as the ones i had.
  21. nice one stu, will have been the build up of crap and fuel in the exhaust system Mike
  22. stu didnt say if the injectors were firing, just the fueling was ok so i assumed it was just getting fuel to the front but yeh if the injectors are clicking then its not the cas  have you tried it on the oem ecu to see if it fires up rather than the emanage?
  23. just translated the page and it runs 930 bhp and has just run a 10 sec 1/4 mile :) also he had sone special RS yamamoto sus manifolds made in 46mm which is pretty big :) some serious work in that puppy, strange he has a stock rad and dangerious he is only running 225 front tyres and 245 rears!! bet thats a bitch on the road LOL
  24. he's running greddy td06-20g turbos so they will be on either pentroof or the original greddy sus manifolds :) interesting use of injectors!! bearing in mind you can get a few rails now which can take pretty much any injectors so if i was pushing 900+ then i would have gone for the border or 300degree and fit 1000cc injectors in it interesting to see the power though as thats the same turbo setup as i was going for but mine had bigger cams so should have made more power :D
