yes you will feel more power as it was heavily retarded!! unless you are running alot of mods i would set it to 15 TDC as thats how it runs the best but you shouldnt have too much problems at 16 but thats up to you ;) Mike

aem is not from stillen, its made my aem and can be bought from various places and stillen usually charge lots more so shop around. unless your planning on running alot of mods and power then i wouldnt bother, no it wont increase the boost unless you get the boost control kit with it or install a seperate boost controller but you are right once installed and mapped you can just keep going back and having a remap for any further mods :) nice bit of kit Mike

ARC tend to make "boxs" so it may be one of theres but they look like k&n filters on be'it a little dirty LOL

try unplugging the AFM to see if that changes anything try unplugging each coilpack to see if the engine dies a little then plug each one back in and do all six to see if its running on 5 etc try unplugging the o2 sensors to see if one of these is lazy or knackered. could be a boost leak so tighten up all the pipes or get a leak tester erm could be the temp sensor on the top rad pipe as these are prone to going lastlybe worth trying someone elses PTU to see if yours is not working right my money is on either a temp or o2 sensor ;) well worth getting someone to run a conzult on it which would show up whats wrong :) Mike

wonder if he has the BC set to external? theres usually a switch on it somewhere to change it? i think he main problem is if he has pressurised his bottom end (ohh err) and its leaking then he has blown something, most likely his crank seal which is what i did on mine :( and you i believe duffers LOL ;) Mike

ahhh well once you dont bed them in right you cant go back so it may need new rings and to start all over again!! i hope not but it does sound like it :(

i always thought than within a few minutes of the first start up the rings bed in and seal so its the most important time hence why most say rev the car to around 3000 revs on first start up for 3 or 4 mins??

oh and if you are losing pressure in the oil pan then you have possibly blown the crank seal which is an engine out job again :(

what are the wastegate adjustors set to?? if there out then it would just boost to the set boost on the springs which may be 0.6 bar spring? also have you got the wastegate pipework the right way ie pull and push to the boost controller?

Ive used ebay since they first started but just lately some of the people are just to55ers!! Sold my PS3 on there several weeks ago, this guy mails me saying it will be a week before he could pay me and is it ok to bid, so i say yeh no problems. Anyway he wins it and 3 weeks later he pays me via paypal, this was on friday last week. Anyway i go away for the weekend to watch the football and get back in sunday and log onto my pc to find the dick has opened a paypal dispute as he has not recieved his goods :wack: :mad: So got his money friday and he complains sunday even though he took 3 weeks to pay me!! 110 degrees if pretty high, oil starts breaking down at around 125 if memory serves so you should only see temps like that on maybe a track day but for normal driving oil temps shouldnt go over 100 degrees, mine never went over 90 degrees unless i was pushing real hard :) Mike

for a highly modded car its just too small, have a search for a local supplier of setrab coolers as there superbly made and a good price as well ;) you need at least a 20 row cooler if not bigger Mike

wheres your oil cooler?? mine was where the side mount was on my high power zed and it ran a little high so i moved it to just behind the fmic as it was too angled on the side and it bought the temps right down, also how big is your oil cooler? Mike

Theres plenty of ecu's you can go for but imho the aem is the most complete stand alone which has been developed for the zed and is certainly the only complete plug and play one ;) also it can be mapped by lots of people as its gems based so its fairly reasonable to be mapped You will need the AIT sensor and the MAP sensor as smithy says but really thats all you need unless you plan on doing the mapping yourself in which can go for the uego wideband for it as well. yes as long as its the full kit you just remove the bumper, remove the side mounts and there will be pipework to replace it with and pipe it to the new intercooler :) its pretty easy to fit the greddy one as its very well made Mike

hmmm well the AEM is based on a gems ecu which one of he best around and at the moment its one of the only ones which is true plug and play, you can always go omex or motec if funds allow and mac1 has the dta system on his but again its not a cheap route!! all depends on how far your wanting to go with regards to power??
