fair enough but remember you made a big point of saying you "only" paid £2400 for the car in a thread started by yourself? and also you have reduced the car as it was up for more than £3500 the gauges were from my old car, tbh you would be better off removing them as yes there worth £300+ but they wont add any value to your car IMHO?

yes redline can help with the crunching but it will come back eventually, if your good with gearbox's then buy the os gear kit and do it yourself for £1500 odd quid ;)

for some reason all the high power zeds in the usa all run oem manual box's and never have any issues??? MAC fitted a new latest spec box in his and his crunch's like a bitch?? you can get a holinger box via tomie who make a plate to make it fit to the engine but again its around £8k ish but you do get a 6 speed sequencial box ;) Mike

Hi Mate Yes its the small tiles and yes he said its the nails that are the reason why there starting to slip etc and why it needs replacing it all as your just fighting time? So does the £6k (inc vat) sound about right for a proper job then?? remember he is removing the small times completly and putting large red flat tiles back? also someone told me the small ones are worth something?? problem is though is the mortgage are putting a retainer on the mortgage until any work is done and the roof survey says it needs a new roof :( but from the sounds of it after asking around tonight the price should have included gold plated tiles as its mega expensive!! but what i'm thinking is putting in this quote to the mortgage and using it to get the house reduced so hopefully i can then get someones a little cheaper and it wont end up costing me owt ;) Mike

PPG also do a gear kit as well, GTART are the uk suppliers unfortunatly unless your willing to spend the best part of £10k then your not gonna get a 6 speed gox which will havdle the power :( OS Giken is about the best gear kit, costs about £3k to have it fitted or about £1.5k and fit it yourself? had my new house surveyed and they have suggested it needs the roof looking at so i cant get the mortgage sorted until i got someone to look at it which in itself is not easy :( anyway finally got someone to go round today and have a look and he confirmed that as its got its original 1935 roof on and the tiles are falling/missing etc that the sensible thing to do is re-roof it :rolleyes: i understand that he's there to make money but he also made sense that he could just repair the missing ones but he also said that you would be always having to do repairs to keep ontop of it so ive had a quote to do it all. £6k :( now if there is any roofers around can you tell me for a traditional 1930's semi is that about right for a roof??
