Parts back from Bead Blasting
Had a mad rush to collect the engine covers from the bead blasters today as I found out at 1:20pm that they close at 2pm, and it's a half hour drive away!(Nice of them to ring me like they said they would  ). It cost £20 in a taxi as I'm home alone (girlfriend and one parental unit are off in Latvia!) and my knackered hip means I can't drive yet but the results are pretty damn good! Needed them back pronto as John and I (plus his brother I think!) are assembling my V8 tomorrow. Going to be a full house as Danny and Eric Lymon are shooting over as well! :D (Excuse the mobile phone photo quality...the missus has run away with my digital!) Now going to brave the cold and spray paint mine and Johns rocker covers! :D Leigh

one for the scots
Really glad you posted this thread as that Tartan finder site was great! Was told once that my family name "Webster" might have, or be affiliated with, a Tartan but I've never chased it up...but blow me down if I haven't found it on there! Bearing in mind I'm about as Scottish as Christopher Lambert's accent in Highlander! :D

LOST season 2
Lol! ;) Weird thing is the "spoilers" haven't spoilt it for me...there's so many theories out there as to what the hells going on it's just making me watch even more closely...yes, I am a sad obsessive compulsive over things like this! Love the whole mythology being created around it...and it's always comforting to know, when reading the threads on the fan sites that there are people FAR more obsessive than me. If you want a laugh, do a search for "Lost" and "LWMG" (might come up, might not, haven't tried it myself!) for an...erm...interesting theory behind the monster (using Season 1 terminology there so's not to spoil it for anyone :D)

LOST season 2
No, but I've been trawling through all the fansites (even spoke to the actor that plays Locke which was pretty cool! :D) and official "fake" sites: Driveshaft band site, the main Oceanic Air site and the better hidden one ;), and the Hanso Foundation (great "Dharma" video on there)...so although I'm still on lowly Season 1 I probably know more than the two of you! :D ;) Leigh.

Feel like sh1t
So sorry to hear that mate. :( I really hope it works out ok for you...it's a terrible thing to have to go through. Leigh.

Feel like sh1t
Thought I'd update this thread as recently had some very good news. The case was thrown out, my dad completely exonerated and the police are pursuing her for wasting their time etc. etc. This past 6 months has been hell for our family. It felt like we had the proverbial sword of Damocles permanently hanging over our heads and there wasn't a damn thing we could do about it. It's had a bad effect on my dads health but at least this is finally over. After all her lies and what she and her evil family put us through I really want to see her pay for what she's done...legal retribution just isn't harsh enough IMO.

VBH has she still got it?
Lol! :D Hey, a bit of window shopping now and then is quite healthy...makes you remember you've already got the best buy at home ;) :D (although not this weekend...she's off modelling in Latvia of all places!) And as Benny Hill used to say, "I'm not against half naked girls - not as often as I'd like to be."
-
VBH has she still got it?
Woof! :D

VBH has she still got it?
Yup, two pics of Kylie mate! Which is why I thought I'd post the Holly ones! :)

VBH has she still got it?
Seconded! The lovely Holly...so innocent looking you just want to defile her in the worst ways possible...did I just say that? *ahem* :D

Half Past Dead......
Went to see this with my girlfriend, Lucie (who REALLY doesn't like horror movies...unlike me!). I literally raced to see this as soon as possible as the hype had been very promising, plus it was a British production and after seeing such recent homegrown films as Dog Soldiers and the brilliant 28 Days Later I had high hopes. We spent the entire movie either p1ssing ourselves laughing or rolling our eyes at how bad it was! For example, the big "scary" scene...you know the one I mean: one captive girl, one big knife and one monster who's training to be a gynacologist...well, the way it was executed (pardon the pun!) was just so unintentionally funny! I know everyone's tastes are different and I totally respect your view of the film but God I was disappointed with this...mainly as it could've been so much more than it was!

FAO Mr Dixon et al: V8 goodies
Cheers chap! (and thanks to everyone else for their support! :)) Seriously though mate, as much as I love my Zed if I could afford a Noble I'd have one without a doubt. It'll be great for you to actually enjoy driving again bud after all the sh1te you've gone through with the car. Bagsy a go when you get it! :D ;)

FAO Mr Dixon et al: V8 goodies
Awww...phosphorus, phosphine...hey, they both start with a "ph" so they can't be that different, right? I mean, what's a little cardiac arrest, peripheral vascular collapse and pulmonary edema between friends? Ah...right...bugger. ;) :D

FAO Mr Dixon et al: V8 goodies
Some guys in the US ask as much as £750-850. However they can be had for a lot less...particularly if you happen to be friendly with a guy in Japan that can source low mileage, '90-'93 models (the most desirable of the VH's) that can be imported with very little hassle to the UK...;)

FAO Mr Dixon et al: V8 goodies
Hmmm...I suggest going back to basics and making sure the chemical equation is correctly balanced first before panicking. Perhaps use the molar mass of the given substance and convert the mass given in the problem to moles or construct a molar proportion and use it to convert to moles of the unknown or better still, using the molar mass of the unknown substance, convert the moles just calculated to mass. ... ... ... ... CHRIST! I think the drugs are kicking in! :D I actually suggest drinking the Jack and then dropping something REALLY big into the Phosphene tank...again...then sitting back and watching the show! :D

Hmmmmm...verrry interesting Meeester Bond...tell me more! PM if it's top secret! :D ;)

FAO Mr Dixon et al: V8 goodies
Cheers bud! Well chuffed with them! :D The only thing that might slow us up are the trans plate and engine mounts...still waiting for our Antipodean fabricator to finish them! ;)

FAO Mr Dixon et al: V8 goodies
Some photos to help pass a few minutes of your nightshift bud! (when you're not setting fire to the Phosphene of course... ;) :D) Thanks again for your help today mate...can't wait to assemble the beast this weekend! :hyper: You bring a certain Mr J.Daniels and I'll get the pizza's in! :duffer: :D To fill everyone in, I was more excited than a bag full of badgers today as I had a delivery from "the Guvnor", Charlie at CTM Engineering, of my freshly fettled VH45DE V8 heads and cams. He's ported the Inlet and Exhaust ports, reground the cams, cleaned up the combustion chambers, skimmed the surface and done a bit of de-masking around the edges of the valves. TBH, he and his lads have done a phenomenal job and if this is the quality of mine I can't wait to see how John's "high spec" work turns out! Leigh.

whats your ultimate car
Yay! Someone recognised it! It's "Crispin" the shopkeeper from Xenon II, the classic Bitmap Brothers Amiga game! :D Being stuck in hospital/at home a lot recently, I've been getting into the whole retro emulation scene...about to stick on Speedball II! Sorry for the thread hijack folks...:D
-
whats your ultimate car
Is that a FACT Iain? ;)

whats your ultimate car
I'm suprised, I've heard nothing but good reports about them so far. Styling wise, I think it's phenomenal...very much a Marmite car though.

whats your ultimate car
Thinking about it, although not to everyone's taste, I REALLY fancy one of these: I don't care if people think it's been attacked by an axe man on speed, it floats my boat and no mistake! :D
