  1. F50...drool... Pagani Zonda for me though ta! (Though I wouldn't say no to a Noble ;))
  2. Alright mate! Had to go in for another 3 weeks but the good news is they found the money to give me this expensive new infusion treatment (was a bit worried for a while as the docs told me in confidence that I might have to go to the Press as the Primary Care Trust were originally refusing to cough up :(). Feeling a helluva lot better now! Car's coming along nicely! Still a fair bit of work to do but Steve's really turning out something special. :) The V8 side of things is progressing fast though. Expecting a big delivery from Charlie at CTM Engineering tomorrow which I might have to share with the group...:D Leigh
  3. Though definately not the same as yours Jason ;) :D
  4. Some more photos: http://www.genmay.net/showthread.php?t=585153&page=2&pp=15 Yep. At the moment the sensible money is on a V8 VQ mated with a two pedal 7 speed AMT.
  5. Link to the new GT-R Proto website:http://www.gtrproto.jp/ The website will be taken off on the 6th November when the Tokyo motor show finishes. Personally, I think it looks like an amazing car (the video is superb) :D Leigh.
  6. I'm liking that a LOT mate, nice one! And Lucie says she likes the colour :D Leigh.
  7. Looks like there's going to be two in the club soon then! :x: ;) Leigh
  8. Nice to see mine used for the roof chop mate, good work! :) Very weird you should do that though! I actually looked into getting this done a couple of months back but had to but it on the back burner as it was going to cost too much money that I couldn't afford to spend with all the other stuff being done...never say never though...;) I even asked Mickey B to do a mock up for me...I was going for a slightly more aggressive chop! ;) Leigh
  9. Very, very nice. I almost went for those myself before going for Trafficstars!
  10. Not 100% about the front end, but that's only me! You've done a great job there and looking forward to seeing some better photos that show the paint off to full effect as I know it must look superb! :D Leigh

Sorry mate, I mean't it was just the SOM fans in the comedy goth outfits...though I do also seem to remember Martin Gore was wearing a very dodgy spangly gold outfit on stage! :D

Not my all time favorites but a great band nonetheless. Saw them at Crystal Palace and then the NEC in the early 90's. Seem to remember at the Palace gig Sisters of Mercy were the support act...oh how we laughed at the smattering of frilly white shirts and weird make up in the audience...and that was their male fans! :D ;) Leigh
  13. Lol! :D I was thinking about posting a work in progress pic but Steve thought it would be a good idea to leave off till it's all finished...so you're going to have to wait a bit longer mate! :D ;) Mind you, next week there's going to be a LOT of progress on the V8 side of things, so I might share with the group then...:D
  14. You know...some guys will say one thing looks great/performs well and others will say it's terrible and that's all well and good. But at the end of the day who cares what other people think? I'm doing things to my car that "some" people don't/won't like. And my thought about that is...fine...so what? :) It's your car, your money...and your choice. ;)
  15. Just found out something else to make me even more p1ssed off with Tiscali...they're blocking p2p ports, limiting them to 1-6k a second. To quote from a site I've just read: "they're running a packet sniffer on people with what they term as 'excessive' download usage. When you send or recieve data of any type on the internet, it is split into small segments called packets. What a packet sniffer does is to examine each packet that is sent, and see what type of information is in it. By doing this they can easily just disgard packets that are known to belong to P2P software programs. They drop enough to keep your speed down to say 5k a sec" B@stards. (You can read the rest of the posts by other not-so-happy Tiscali users here: http://www.moviecodec.com/topics/5816p1.html) Glad my contract is up as I'm thinking it's time to move ISP's.
  16. Aaaaarrgh...not more of the buggers... :(
  17. Hey Rob, sorry I never replied to this bud! Ended up going back into hospital and only came out again this Wednesday! For what it's worth this late in the day you would've missed it coming M5/M42 way...but I guess you know that by now! :D ;)
  18. Ray at Rayvern Hydraulics has developed a system that offers all the advantages that in-car adjustable ride height offers with none of the drawbacks regarding poor handling commonly associated with hydraulics and other air systems. It works independantly on each wheel and can be adjusted to give either a smooth but controlled and responsive ride to something that's more race orientated that is firmer and more aggressive. The cost is £1800 if you install it yourself. And not too long from now I'll be able to give everyone a more in depth analysis of it's performance in a Z32...;) Leigh.
  19. Cheers mate, I'll look into it and see if I can find a good one!
  20. Cheers for that mate, will do! :) Trouble is, I've got to keep the computer in the same place...would you recommend going for a wireless router maybe?
  21. Speaking from experience you won't find anyone better than Steve at Bodywork Plus (details in the Traders section). He's a bloody genius when it comes to bodywork (mines in for some radical custom work and show quality respray ;))...and he's not that far away from you either! Definately not a cheap "under the arches" establishment, but the quality is worth every penny and at the end of the day, you pays your money, you takes your choice...I know what I would do ;) Leigh.
  22. Christ! Where do I book my flight! :D That's the kind of quarter mile meet I'd love to attend (and not just for the cars...blimey, his wife is fit as a butchers dog... :D ;))
  23. The cable is quite long as it runs from one room into another (about 15ft or so). On the base floor? Um...do you mean is it on the floor? If so, then no, it hangs from the BT wall socket. :) Do you think the cable length might be a factor then?
  24. Nope. Filter in BT wall socket to RJ11 cable to modem to USB connector in laptop. Not got any faxes, hubs etc connected and the only other USB device is the mouse! It's doing my nut in!
