NZR- anyone like/dislike tiscali broadband?
Having the same trouble with Tiscali myself at the moment. I'm on the 2mb package for £17.99 a month but only connecting at 500 or so kbps at best! :( This thread prompted me to get on the phone to Tiscali today but the situation hasn't improved: I'm using the advised RJ11 cable and filter; my PC should easily be able to cope with the speed; there are no programs/adware/spyware running, hidden or otherwise that would effect the speed; I've tried disabling the firewall and AVG; there are no P2P programs running; I've disabled the internal modem; I've used Tiscali's "Optimizer" program to configure my system; used Bandits suggestion of disabling the "load start-up items" and I've even changed the phone line and also taken the filter out of the equation to see if it they were at fault but all to no avail! :headvswal TBH I don't know what else to do :( Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated guys! Leigh.

we having 300zx.co.uk 2006 calender ?
That would be the $64,000 question mate! Steve's got total carte blanche on the project, to take as long as is needed and sparing no expense to get everything spot (partially due to the vast amount of custom work involved!). Might not be ready in time for the calendar but thought it would be worth checking the timescale for submissions just in case :)

we having 300zx.co.uk 2006 calender ?
Another calendar would be a great :) Does anyone have any idea when final submissions of photos would be (can't remember how it was organised last year)? Only, if the timescale is ok, I'd like to break with my tradition of staying in the background and put my own Zed forward for consideration :) Engine swap aside, the bodywork makes it unique to say the least...definately no other like it in the UK...or the rest of the planet for that matter! Lol! ;)Only trouble is it's not quite finished yet! Mind you, there's always 2007! :D Leigh

Covert speed camera on M42 South
Cheers for the heads up Danny, those are the two junctions I use the most often as they're both 10 mins away from my house :( Been wondering for a while if they were going to plumb in active camera's on the new gantries...and it looks like they finally have! Bugger  Leigh

FAO Mike: Rides section...alphabetical order?
Ah, sounds tricky...totally understand you not wanting to make any changes to the code at the moment then mate! ;) BTW, since I'm on a roll (read: having nothing better to do! :D) would there be any chance of upping the memory limit allowed for Avatars? Nothing stupid high that would effect the sites performance, just enough for us to crowbar in some more...er...interesting animated images! ;) :D Cheers! Leigh.

FAO Mike: Rides section...alphabetical order?
Hey Mike, I know it's not a hugely pressing matter but wondered if it would be possible to make a few changes to the Rides section? The main thing that makes using it a bit infuriating is that it isn't in alphabetical order. I know you can access a specific persons rides section from the car icon underneath their Avatar, but that means you have to search for a post they've made first. It would definately make the section a lot more user friendly :) Also, I don't know if anyone else experiences this, but when opening large photos that are bigger than the screen, you have to scroll to see the rest of the picture and as such never see the entire picture as a whole. Any chance of having a "resize" feature which automatically reduces larger pictures to an easily viewable size (that can be expanded or retracted), like Windows does? Just a couple of thoughts mate, no worries if it's not do-able! ;) :) Cheers, Leigh

At Last!!...Me Garage Is Official!!!!!!!!!
Huh. My workshop not good enough for you now is it? Bitch!...  ;) :D Congrats on the OK from the council mate! (I'm secretly jealous too! :D) Leigh.

help with engine swap
So you want me to get you a VH now instead of buying my VG? Lol! ;) Only joking mate :D Didn't realise you were interested in the conversion when we spoke via email :) BTW, Christ knows what it would all cost if a garage did it as there's a lot of work involved. Plus, how far you want to take the engine will of course effect the final cost...my V8 set-up is "milder" than Johns (hoping for around 400-450bhp). Whereas his engine, in technical tuning terminology...is madder than a bag of badgers  ;) Leigh.

tub tail skin
Hey Si, I don't know how much custom work you'll have done to it, but I've seen a few in standard form and the tailgate tub angles downwards slightly towards the screen so when it rains it collects water! Pond-tastic! Have heard there's more than one type available though, so it might not be the case with this other one...?

Audio goodies have arrived!
Cheers guys! :D Just got to make up my mind whether to mount them normally or "arse out", as the rear is as good looking as the cone! Nah...Nine Inch Nails more like! ;) :D

Audio goodies have arrived!
My run of bad luck health wise has temporarily put the kybosh on it matey! It keeps staring accusingly at me each time I hobble into the garage! Lol! :D ;) Still needs a lot of work but I reckon once I'm more mobile it shouldn't take tooooooo long to achieve a shape and finish good enough to be trimmed in leather....I hope! ;)

Audio goodies have arrived!
Had a suprise this morning when three large cardboard boxes arrived on my doorstep (thank Christ someone was in to carry them what with me and my dodgy hip at the moment! Lol! ;)). After a bit of unpacking it turned out to be a load of car audio goodies sent by one of my sponsors Matt from Nearfield Audio! And after a bit more unpacking :D : Basically the set-up consists of the following: 1x KAR 400.2 amp 1x KAR 1000.2T amp 2x KAR 10D subs 1x KAR 265 comps (plus a HUGE roll of sound deadening material! :D) The subs, amps and comps look fantastic but to be honest I can't wait to see how they match up to their spec list: KAR 10D Dual voice coil 4 ohm 200 watts rms / 400 peak Large rubber surround One piece injection molded cone High temp Kapton Voice Coil Large diameter flat spider Chrome extended bump plate Impedance : 2 or 8 ohm Resonant frequency : 28.8Hz Sensitivity : 86 db RMS power handling : 200 watts/ 400 peak KAR 265 Component Set with silk tweeter Audiophile crossover components Injected molded poly cone Low distortion linear suspension High temp voice coil Silk dome tweeter Flush or surface mount tweeter Rubber surround PTC power protection Diameter: 6.5 In Efficiency: 87 dB/W/m Frequency Response: 60-20k Hz Impedance: 4 ohms Power Handling: 100 watts (peak) KAR 400.2 Power output RMS@4ohms: 2x100watts Power output RMS@2ohms: 2x200watts Power output RMS@1ohms: 2x400watts KAR 1000.2T Power output RMS@4ohms: 2x240watts Power output RMS@2ohms: 2x450watts Power output RMS@4ohms Bridged: 1x900watts Now just got to get myself well enough to start work on the custom doorbuilds, boot build and sub enclosures to put them in! ;) :D Leigh.

Its in site
Looking good mate :) Nice to see you're joining me in the Alsa club ;) Steve (Bodywork Plus) has been experimenting with their range for the past few months in preparation for spraying my car and the results are truly phenomenal. He's really mastered these paints! I was originally going for that colour myself (also as more of a pearl: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=44636) but Steve has concocted a couple of mad custom colours and a particular way of applying them that produces a finish that TBH, has left me speechless they're so good! So now it's the tough job of choosing between them! :D Leigh.

Happy Birthday MarkZX
Don't make me laugh, it makes my hip hurt! PMSL!  :D ;) Getting better thanks matey, barrelling around on the old crutches, though missing out on TLC from the little lady as she's had to bugger off to Paris! Glad you had a good weekend though ;) and hope the car is behaving itself now! You have to get it sorted if you, John and me are going to do the "Ring" next year! :D ;)

any pictires of side skirts
Some early photo's of my Stillen Type III's blended in. I went for them as they widen the profile of the car without being overly fussy. Suffice to say, with the custom bodywork being done, the shape of the skirts has now changed considerably...they're a damn site wider for a start! ;) :D Leigh.

Happy Birthday MarkZX
Happy Birthday Mark! Sounds like you had a decent weekend then matey! ;) :D Leigh.
