  2. Like to see it matty, these twats think that people will walk away and take it on the chin. Good to see that there are still people who know how to keep a good vendetta going :D

I presume you are talking about the handbook (there is an online manual) Where about on the south coast are you?
  4. My front end (its not finished yet tho:( ) been caught up myself with a speedo problem, and hoping to do the interior this week. Also just found hole in my exhaust :(
  5. When I wanted to put Dot5 in my bike I was told that it was unsafe as it caused any dot4 left in the pipes to solidify and it would rot the seals. I spoke to the top boy at EBC and he told me this was *****x, I flushed the pipes and put the dot5 in and it was fine. I did have a guy who serviced it refuse to take it for a test run as there was dot5 in the brake lines tho
  6. This may help or may not. Had a very similiar problem, flat battery, jump started fine, took it for a run, would start lovely but leave it over night it'd be dead as a doornail. Afetr much investigation I found that the seat adjustment button was jammed under its surround, which was flattening the battery. Not saying that this is what is wrong with yours, but maybe their is something draining it down
  7. If it was rolled, was it a right off? if so what category? You havent got a cut'n'shut nut there? I think you're right to wait Nelson, there are plenty of nuts out there (and in here) with a full history
  8. Mate, with all due to respect to my little bro, if this girl knows anything about diets and stuff, she keeps it well hidden :D
  9. When I bought my NA three months or so back, parkers valued a '90 NA in A1 @ £4200. Use that as a baseline and argue up.
  10. Just arsing about Ginge, I am sure you have made the right choice. To be honest, I bought the NA on impulse. I had driven a TT, but found it didnt suit my driving (cos I drive like a twat). Looking at what TT's go for on here, if you have a reasonable manual one for 4k youve done well. Hope you get it on the road before "summer" runs out. And welcome to the club :)
  11. Shahid, you have been a busy boy, no wonder you havent been posting much. :)
  12. I would suggest straight through pipes. There are three boxes on the standard system as well as the cats, so there is plent of room to fit boxes to quieten it down if required If by "venting the recirculating thingys" you mean the AIV pipes, I am reliably informed that they make no real difference and can be removed from the pipe, and IIRC the engine end should be left open. You will also find two connections in the cats themselves, these are heat sensors (for when the cat is overheating) and can be removed, I cut them off (in my case they were a braided steel covered wire) and tucked them out the way. It is my intention to trace them and remove them at source, manyana. The guy who built my exhaust asked me what sound I wanted (loud and sporty, rumbling, or quiet (I went for rumbling)) and he made it happen Hope this helps.
  13. Nah Ginge, you should have went for the NA. All these other guys just want you to justify their own decision. MIsery loves company. It's an opinion:D
  14. Possibly we could have a test to see if wearing the strap on makes females better drivers?? Although I have to say the only people i pay special attention to are those that feel the need to wear a hat (of any description) inside a car, thats my pointer to overtake and get out of their way. Twice I have had hat wearing w*ankers knock me off my bike
  15. Found myself on the M26 last night, having had a call for help from my little brother who had broken down. Got down there and from his description, I thought he had possibly spat his cambelt, but further investigation showed no water or oil in the motor. One seized engine sir? certainly! I looked under the car and there was a suspect trail of oil leading from the sump plug (he recently had it serviced...visits will be made). Was in the middle of explaining what was going on to him and his "intellectually challenged" young lady. When talking about where the water had gone, before I could explain she jumps in with "Well, you have been using the window washer a lot!" Like I say, I had to walk away
  16. Well, I am inbetween contracts at the mo, so get to spend all day around the house, and my beloved comes home from work and does my dinner, bless her cottons. I did put the washing out today tho :)
  17. if it had a face, I pretty much eat it, dont do much in the way of veggies, as they are demon sp*nk. or that might be just me:D

you cant be bringing your zed, if you are bringing 7 doormen:confused:
  20. Andy, I put my hand up to all the above, making a comment about the mad friday, asking some of the no-brainer questions, all of that. Hopefully I have got past the no-brainers and got to the point where I can answer some of them for others, which I try to do (reap what you sow and all that) The only comment I made about the mad friday was its location, if you think I am out of order for that, then I put my hands up to that also. My reason for making that point was that if a question is asked and for some reason it is pushed onto the second page, it can be missed or forgotten about and that can be frustrating. But , as I say, if I am wrong, I am wrong.:( Hugh
  21. I found a load of maps (mainly for turbos, one spe ifically for the 555's ) here downloads The one you want is the Z32-revision1-and-bins.zip HTH hugh
