  1. you got yourself sorted out yet Ginge?
  2. Emero, try andy z, he sorted me out with the full set.. I can understand the scissors, but who let you get your hands on a screwdriver???:D
  3. Mate, I am taking that as a joke! I AM right, right?:)
  4. just a thought, is there enough adjustment in the high beam to point it low enough to use as a driving light?
  5. Dear All I don't normally make a habit of mentioning charity, but this seemed to be a particularly good cause. I know it touched me personally. Mute Tourettes Syndrome has long been in the shadow of its more famous sister-disease, 'Tourettes Syndrome', and although much rarer, is even more tragic in its consequences. While a child suffering from Tourette's has difficulty in containing its anger and frustration, a child with Mute Tourette's suffers the opposite fate, and is unable to express their true feelings. There is, however, an answer. A great deal has been achieved by the Mute Tourette's Foundation using new art therapy techniques. However, their work can only continue with your help. Just £1.37p will keep a child supplied with crayons for a whole day. £5 will provide them with enough paper for a week. Please give what you can to help this deserving cause. ..
  6. Cos, not doubting for a second that there is more "volume" of light, but as i said in my post, it is the focus that concerns me. My lights as standard seem to be better than your originals,(from your film) but I would like a more focussed beam as well as more "volume".
  7. looks like your battery tray wants a bit of work mate:)
  8. as paperwieghts maybe.lol
  9. Cos, Can see why you upgraded your lights, they look worse than mine. I have seen the tin foil upgrade, and agree (having seen your vid) it definately multiplys the amount of light put out, but as it can only be refracted light through the lens at the front, it doesnt give me the focussed beam I am looking for. Also, as you said, some of the films seem to cook in the heat and look well manky. As a cosmetic upgrade, they look good, and I would be interested in how much the "chroming" comes in at, and how you think it fares under the heat
  10. Been looking at this whole crap headlight scenario. Has anyone tried fitting new lights? (yes, it was sttarted by that conversion at Billing, but I refuse to pay £900 for it, I know I am tight, read the name) I was thinking about someof these semi-spherical driving lights fixed into the front bumper, either side of the plate. Opinions? would this just look duff?
  11. Well, speaking for myself, I am a director of my (admittedly small, 4 people) consultancy company, dealing in Health and safety, management and training. I do drive a Volco S70 to work most of the time, due to the distances involved, but also take the zed and my custom bike. People do give me looks when I turn up, but they usually do, as they dont expect their "consultant" to be a six foot skinhead glaswegian, but if they cant see past the car, haircut, whatever thats their problem. Generally speaking, ,my clients need me a lot more than I need them. Keep the zed, as for the opinions F*ck 'em if they can't take a joke
  12. if it helps I am not going out in my zed today, I have a problem. In that I cant ride my bike and drive the zed at the same time, and Mrs Jock is complaining about not being on my bike for ages. See! we all have crosses to bear :(
  13. Well, mrs jock would get upset if I didnt eat it:D And its not like you dont know where your local pie shop is.lol
  14. you mean you're all not at home, having just finished a lovely fried breakfast??? Is nothing sacred in this world :D
  15. For all the people who were looking for a mechanic in the south london kent area I have the number for a guy. He used to work at abbeymotorsport, knows his zeds, and japs in general. Watched him working the other day and he looked more than competent, rates about £30 an hour plus parts. PM me if you want his number
  16. Nah mate, I want a car I can drive all the time, not just when the turbos are cool, the timer is working, the boost gauge is set, the AFR is happening, the hoses are squared away etc etc etc .... and pluto is in my starsign :)

  19. cheers for the answer jez, did you have to add 22mm into the equation, I'm confused enough as it is mate :)
  20. pete- its a computer mate , not a calculator :) Thanks again for all the advice, PC is brand new, just built the bugger, the real PITA is that it was all working before the weekend, but some moody prog I got knackered ME, so i reloaded it, and hey presto , nothing works. Couldnt really be arsed splitting the drive, as I dont do a lot of gaming, apart from quake and it would run on my phone :)
  21. Amnd you should put anything like t-cut/autoglym on with a damp cloth, if you put it on with a dry cloth it is too harsh by far
  22. you know what they say, every holes a goal
  23. And thats a boast is it?? ROFLMAO
  24. Looking for some clarification, as have had several inputs on this. NA disks, I am told that they are thinner than TT disks. This means that I need to upgrade my calipers in order to fit TT disks on my car. Then I was told that the TT disks might not fit on my hubs, so I might need to upgrade the hubs as well (getting expensive this) I spoke to 3G and he was of the opinion that the pre '90 cars (mine is an '89 Z32) were fitted with 28mm thick disks as opposed to the 30mm post '90 zeds Looked at the online manual, it quotes australian cars as 28mm , europe as 30mm (and Japs????) Any clarification on any or all the above points would be welcomed Cheers Hugh
  25. Adam, no offence mate, but I dont think viagra would have helped them if they were pissed enough to fancy you :D
