  2. You are, of course, working on the assumption i am ever going to turn it off. :D but am led to believe that a remote valve is the way to go on that one

  9. Bouncers car!!!! Driven by thugs with three letter first names as that is all they can grunt!! Usually find a stilletto heeled 40 year old over tanned, leopard sking wearing slapper in the passengers seat. quite often automatic so the gear stick doesn't get in the way when she is giving head or he has his right arm hanging out of the window!!!! Just made the lake list for next year ?

    First time em? :D
  11. if your engine is hydeolocked, it could be big probs, did that to an astra deisel and it was totally shagged. If that is the case, you thought about replacing it with the TT motor Arthur is selling, his needs a big end, but its got to be less work than rebuilding a hydo'd engine. Hope its not though Hugh

thats funny, but wonder what he drives??
  13. if you are looking for mesh, go to b&Q, the do a whole range of anodised aluminium. I fitted a gold anodised mesh to my front end and nose panel, which i think looks the nuts, not veru clear in pic though

ther eis a heater in the jap models (at least in mine) activated by the heated rear screen button. My view on this? make him pay for it, then go back and knee cap the sod
  15. you can buy a "preserver" fro fuel, but have no experience of it, so yes I would. Also when storing bikes, I always turn of the tap (pull the fuse in the pump) and run her till she stalls, that way there is no fuel sitting in the carbs, it tends to turn to a varnish like substance
  16. youve also got to think about the rest of the system, is the matrix ok? there are a lot on here (myself included) who have knackered matrixs, they are not cheap to replace and they are a PITA to remove/replace hugh
  17. thats a bugger mate. If ithelps I put my kit into storage for a year recently. The route i chose was a 20ft sea container in a yard with 24hr access, but that cost me 140 a month. With that sort of bill you have got to look at what you are storing and how much its worth to you. If i were to do it again, i would take the time to find some old dear who has a garage shes not using. If you can keep the costs down, storage is the way to go, if not, it is a choice of whether to lose 5k on the sale or shell out onthe storage everymonth. Hope it comes right for you hugh
  18. Andy, You really have to wait till people ask stupid questions before you lose your rag :)
  19. if you want to be really tidy, they go up through the floor to a black box which lives behind the handbrake (under the centre console, you can unplug the box, and pull the sensor wires out.
  20. you can cut the plastic surrounding the lights away, but the back part is supporting the lights, I looked at removing it totally when fitting my 99 spec. I think that the plastic is sufficiently strong that if you leave the back peice it will support the lights. HTH
  21. Yeah, but it doesnt make you a bad person Mac :D Kind of fitting that you are running this section, as you are likely to be their biggest customer. Job well done fella:)
  22. GLad you got things sorted, as for waiting 20 days, dont the do siphoning in reading??:D
