  1. no price as yet i dont pick up the hopse till friday, so the guy wont see it till then. Just want to know if there is interest
  2. heres a question. My car at thor produced 294 rear hub/ 350 flywheel bhp @ 15.3 psi. At that point she was overfuelling, had a crap chip, a hole in the exhaust, was burning shedloads of oil, and detting like a pig After a bit of fiddling, all the above is sorted and she is now pushing 19 psi, so to pre-empt the rolling road, what sort of HP am I looking at? any views?
  3. Right, as per the other thread, I have contacted Mr G and he is lending me his clutch hose to have copied, as a gauge, who is interested in having one?

  7. that whole NCB thing is a con anyway, try phoning your insurance and asking for a plain quote, thenm compare it to what you are paying, I will bet that the difference, if any, bears any relevance to your "No Claims Bonus"............W@NKERS

yes would question that, as the springs in them are weak anyway, a good shake will cause them to rattle. Surely there is a more "scientific" test?? Also Baggins, you may want to think about keeping them if they are cushty. Think BIG PICTURE :)
  9. yup stripped a set at the weekend, nad they are a pain in the arse, but not time consuming
  10. Mate, if it took me 7hrs in my zed, it would be because I was on a low loader, doesnt take me that in my daily driver :)
  11. what about us scots that dont live there, I dont know, cant even get to a meet in my home town:(
  12. btw, prepare for skinned knuckles, and make sure you put the gear stick back on the right way, else you will clump your knuckles every time you change into 1st, 3rd or fifth :)
  13. As you can get a radio recoded for a tenner, I dont know that it would make that much of a difference mate. T be honest, although stickers and flashing lights deter the theiving toerags who are middle intelligence, the ones with more intelligence realise that a) most people dont listen to car alarms and b) by the time you have woken up, got some kit on and come down stairs theyll be on their toes like seb coe* and the low brows dont care. *Isnt it funny how low life, roll-up smoking, buckfast drinking, glue sniffing, "never excercised in me life" scum can always run like rabbits??
  14. sorry to hear that bud, anything I can do gives a shout
  15. if anyone has the specs of it , I have a freind who can copy them at mates rates
  16. to clarify what andy is saying, if you look under the car, at the side, you will find the sill at the bottom of the panel, look further under the car and you will see a flat rail about 2 inches across that runs nearly the length of the car. Thats where you should put your stands.
  17. It might be just me, but how about we start a trend and elect these posts ??
  18. will only be a couple of quid mate, they aint heavy.... (they're my brother??)

    looks well mate :)
  23. just to clarify Phil, you dont join the two pipes in the picture, but the two pipes they go to on the engine. You are a little too far for me to come and help, but if you give me a bell when you are near your car, I will talk you thru finding the right pipes. :) And Although it is a radiator thingy, it is inside a plastic box, hence your confusion :) jock 07812-586102
  24. sounds like your heater matrix has gone, it is situated behind the centre console in a little panel. Costs about £100 to get a new one, and is a pain to replace. As a short term measure, if you look behind the engine, right near the centre, there are two pipes that go into the firewall, these feed the heater matrix, you can short then out on the engine side and it will stop the leak/ water loss, but you will have no heating. Picture attached courtesy of Mac, shows the two pipes going into the firewall. You HAVE to short the link out on the engine side, bot the firewall, you can either use one of the hoses there or a piece of flexible hose.
