for my tuppence I support the water being a problem but not the cause theory. I use gunk and the garden hose and just liberally spray the engine bay with it (both on my NA and the TT before any snidey comments :)) I have also used the wand of a jetwash on all my cars and bikes. The only thing I would say is to have the engine warmed up and running while you do it

Now I know how angry I get behind the wheel, and how frustrated we all get when someone damages our cars, but has it really got to the stage where someone gets killed because of a prang? The speakers with built in amps were an upgrade option (on the jap spec at least) they dont make any difference, it just means the standard crap speakers are in a little ported box, instead of in a tinny metal frame. Have the rear cover one of your speakers and see which one you have. IIRC the tinny frames hold an oval speaker whilst the ported boxes hold round ones

got to agree there is very little to choose between the cbr6 and the zx6r. The kwacker has a nice induction noise. I would still side with the honda for a first bike tho, to get the best out of the quack you will have to cane it, and a) it will feel unnatural at first to be tharapping an engine @14k and b) you will over cook it , drop it and damage it, and the honda will be cheaper to repair :)

For my 2p, nobodies pet should die like that, and I do feel for you. I would say that you cant blame the dog anymore than you can a cat which reacts as nature intended. Yes a dog can be trained, but if it is not, then the owner is at fault, not the dog. Wes, Allow yourself some time for that mate, its not as easy as it first seems, putting those clips on is a b@stard, but it is a good time to take the thermostat out and give the waterways a good flush. Also take some sanpaper to the ends of the pipes on the engine, they get furred up something cronic.HTH
