  1. You need load resistors inline with the indicator bulb http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-LED-Indicator-Load-Resistor-Turn-Signal-Light-Flasher-Fix-All-Motorbikes-Cars-/251601538063?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item3a949ecc0f

  8. Notice the oil in the lower plenum intake Got the under drive pulley off and belt out and i think i may need to replace the cam belt pulleys as there is a few mm movement

  13. White smoke when i floored it, but not on tickover.
  14. I think they need a good clean, certainly not stiff or stuck open or closed and if they are supposed to move with the littlest of pressure then they must be working, although puzzling as to why so much oil in the intakes and plenum, ive also noticed the same in the lower plenum, which i have just taken off, will post up some pics later today, as ive taken quite a few of each stage so far :thumbup1:
  15. I usually do lol, got a new box as well
  16. Engine that is lol, After my dilema thread, i decided to replace both heads on the NA, with a set im getting from Russ (Veilside) which have new valves, head gaskets etc... and after spending a good few hours on it today i stripped it down to the point of getting the heads off. Now with the rocker covers off all 4 banks, when i rotate the engine, i cant see if oil is getting up to the rockers, although there is very dirty oil in all 4 and ive noticed in most i can depress the lifters slightly, which would have been giving me the tappety sound, but nothing jumping out at me that is giving the really bad rattling/tappety noise when the engine is running. The only way i can describe it, to give an idea of what it was like, having a metal disc flapping against bike spokes, like when you were a kid and used a peg and some plastic to make that silly noise lol I had a fair bit of oil residue in the plenum and throttle bodies, as well as the intake pipes, so guessing pcv valves, i can push in the valve with very little pressure and virtually no resistance, so im guessing they are shot. Will take some pics tomorrow as my hands were too dirty to get the camera out lol Im quite looking forward to getting down to the block just see if those check valves and squirters are blocked, which im certain they must be, with oil starvation to the right bank, hence the bad rattling of cam lobes on the lifters.
  17. I feel your pain bud, but there must be a cheaper solution. Have you tried classic insurance, usually cheaper than regular ins, normally need a drive or garage, i guess your not building it on the street lol. I had a similar pain recently insuring a piece of crap Renault scenic, which is double what the zed cost, forget comparison sites, phone a few reputable insurers some members have listed over the years, im sure you can get a better deal.
  18. To bleed the rad, raise the front of the car slightly as air will naturally want to travel to the highest point, also put your heating on full, ie allowing water to go through the matrix, top up through the rad cap until no obvious bubbles show and water runs over the top of the cap, replace the cap and run up to temp then use the bleed screw to get rid of any further air that may be trapped in the system.
  19. Only just found out myself, unbelievable http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/celebritynews/11027476/Robin-Williams-dies-aged-63-from-suspected-suicide.html
  20. Welcome to the club Adam, im sure you could pick up a decent enough zed for that price :thumbup1:
  21. Hi Gaz, what did you do in the end to resolve the oil starvation issue?
  22. Happy Birthday mate, have a great day
  23. Sounds like they are taking he absolute piss mate, i would look for another residential home, if you are happy in that line of work, they cant all be that bad to work in. Its difficult balancing the work and family life to suit, but on occasion needs must. Does the wife not work or able to help out more? Sorry not prying into your personal life lol
  24. Very kind Russ, i would of course purchase them from you, its not so much a money issue, rather than time, about two weeks now, but i have decided not to take anything off the TT and it will get sorted eventually, so may go the new heads route and hope i can manage to flush the check valve in the block once i get down to it. Infact im going to start stripping the engine tomorrow and see what damage is done :thumbup1:
