  1. Sounds like air rather than fuel, the rate of the hiss, if it were fuel leaking you would see it somewhere. But getting air with the engine off is weird. It could be that the fuel pump is pushing air rather than fuel through the pipe and cos you have a leak, that is what you are hearing, ive not heard it before, maybe jeff my sumble upon the thread and shed some light.
  2. Looks shit mate, i would change the colour, no one in their right ind would have a yellow zed  :lol: looks great Pete and youre right it does look similar to mine, look forward to some more pics
  3. Exactly :thumbup1: , the painter did do it yellow, then remembered it should have been black, it looked too much the same colour of the body and as its originally black, it should be black lol

  13. Sorry for the assumption wording, i know its oil starvation, as it rattled a bit on cold starts, i recently put fresh oil in and it quietened down a fair bit, then obviously just got to the point it is now, sounds like it has no oil on that bank and clattered and rattled. I know im going to have to strip it, but the check valve is my concern.
  14. This is probably aimed at anyone who has done a complete engine strip down or has the indepth knowledge lol, but as i have a badly knocking cam on the right bank, im assuming oil starvation and as such is likely down caused by a blocked check valve or oil squirter up to the heads from the block. Options im looking at, i need to know if the check valve can be cleaned in situe, ie head off and access to the block or whether it has to be changed, or my easier option would be some sort of detergent to clean or unblock it and i can just change the cams and lifters without taking the heads off. Opinions or advice please. Cheers
  15. You will get a fraction, of people viewing his thread
  16. Looks really nice Tony, until recently, you just dont realise how much actually goes into the bodywork process until you get down to the nitty gritty. She is going to be stunning once more
  17. Im working in Chichester Paul on the 3rd so will not be able to make it, but it should be ready for JAE, i still need to decide the best or short term solution, ie, change the heads and unblock the check valve in the block, change to my old engine which i know works, but has been stood outside for 2 years or so, or TT it, got a week to make my mind up lol.
  18. Yes mate, semi :thumbup1:
  19. I look like i shat myself and thats Lee ( Jaikai) in the red top.
  20. Unbelievable mate, look at this way, if you didnt have bad luck you would have no luck at all  I hope she gets better soon and you manage to get back on track, glad you are feeling better and hope business is treating you kindly, all the best to both of you.:thumbup1:

  22. It wasnt 3 years...... it was 4  Im pleased with the result over all, but has to go back into the bodyshop at some point to sort a couple of issues, the paint on the rear bumper has some reaction even though a bar coat was used first, just a couple of places where it looks cracked, but thats because it was rushed i guess and hopefully done for JAE.
  23. Thought i would wash the other one too
