  1. Fuse board in the drivers footwell, you probably have a couple blown
  2. How ironic lol the veggie stuff going to be cooked after the meat, so no meat juice or fat, honest  Nice barbie  i bought a new 4 burner from B&Q this week as we have a few weekends of birthdays etc coming up and my old one had been abused and gone past its use IMO lol
  3. Well done Pete and totally agree with you on the runs, looks easy when you watch it on the telly, different story doing it yourself. Glad you enjoyed it, would be nice one day to get a few more zeds involved, maybe once we have all nearly finished sorting our cars out, we might get there lol
  4. Looking good Rich, i like the look of the ones on the right, give it a dish look :thumbup1:
  5. Undo the two screws on the butterfly in the throttle body and the bar will slide out :thumbup1:
  6. EGR valve, and blank plates where the pipes enter the plenum, but you will also need to plug the egr hole in the manifold, so up to you really if you are keeping the EGR valve.
  7. Remove those pipes and do a throttle body bypass, when you put it back in the car, remove the PCV valves and i would remove all brackets, if getting powder coated or not, you want a completely bare plenum to get the best results.
  8. Great result
  9. Sorry bud, had to edit your thread, you have to be subscribed to sell in the club :thumbup1:
  10. Check your temp sensor on the water pipe for corrosion, sounds like its not sending the correct signal to the ecu when cold, will run lumpy till warm.
  11. You say you have a new maf, where was it purchased? For eg, cheap Chinese copies are notorious for issues .
  12. Cool, what was the present though
  13. Its unlikely to be the O2 sensors, but disconnect them, the ecu will run a means setting. Check the board on the ECU, the injector points on the board are pretty much near the edge of the board and see if you have any terminals burnt out or corroded. I had a similar problem with mine and found a pin burnt out on cylinder 4, failing that you could still have a harness issue, worth doing a continuity test back to the ecu from the injector plug
  14. Seriously? Must have been a close relation to Stevie Wonder, i could do better with my eyes closed  I take it you never saw the system once fitted, just the exit pipes?
  15. Cool, bet they had a blast :thumbup1:
  16. Looking good Andy, i like your innovation with these headlights
  17. I was in Egypt in March with the other half and on our return we talked about going to Tunisia next year, then the first attack on the museum happened which quickly changed our minds, then we thought it was a targeted area within the capital, until this happened, so after Egypt twice and Turkey in the last year, we are giving all muslim countries a miss and going to the canaries in a couple of months. Im sure many of us have our views, there is always a bigger picture, but i agree, this has to be stopped...now
  18. Im sure you will get it sorted with no major dramas :thumbup1:
  19. I have sent him a PM asking to post on this thread, did you not have his contact details when you bought the car?
  20. As above the speed sensor on the gearbox is not sending a signal to the speedo.
  21. Some info on the TCU ( time control unit) location in the pic is from the US so pass side showing in pic, but ours is drivers side where i said. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?175356-where-abouts-is-the-the-dash-lights-tcu-located&highlight=tcu
  22. Are you sure that was his user name as there is no tomonator listed in the members list?
  23. They grey plug hanging down near the bonnet release is the diagnostic port, HID are plug and play get the 5-6k and you wont get the blue look. The two wires from the ballast connect to the lamp plug and the HID lamp from the ballast into the lamp socket, then you will need to look at either earthing out one side to stop the HIDs going off when you flash the mainbeams or dong the proper solution, which can be found in the tech faq section under electrical. Driver pod with the switch yes, the dimmer switch itself is unlikely to be faulty, but the TCU is responsible for the dimming. There can be burnt tracks on the board which cause issue with the lighting, i had a track burnt out on mine once and lost all dash lights/pod lights, so TCU out to check.
  24. Your car is looking great Nick, nice to see it again
