  1. renewed early so theres no crossover problems lol
  2. I have a convertor box on mine and has been fine, its the cheapest option. Uk clocks can help, the resistor mod on the speedo board isnt accurate and you have to recalibrate it using the pots on the board, usually while you are driving. Or you can get your ECU rechipped, that would mean having it socketed to put a new chip in. HTH
  3. The list is endless bud, but its worth searching for anything before you go ahead with some mods, just to check pitfalls or plusses. Good luck with the det problem Cheers Graham
  4. Have mailed you. It is worth subscribing, not just for the rights, but everything else the club has to offer. Jae at the weekend alone was worth alot more than the £20 it costs to sign up. Worth every penny. Cheers Graham
  5. 245/40/18 front and 265/35/18 on rear, not ultra low profile cos you need to keep the rolling diamiter as close to stock for the speed sensor. The ride height will be basically the same, you are just filling the arch up better.
  6. Yes i have most of each mid week off, generally work weekends, i need the 2x pod fronts, ign ring and hazard switch. Just PM me when you are ready to move and i will give you the address. Cheers Graham
  7. here you go bud, should tell you everything you need to know about detonation and the cures. http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?cat.126 Mine has 18's and not lowered, looks and sits just as good.
  8. Thanks very much. Yes mate, still doing the conversions, the El dials i got from a company in swindon and the guages from a company in Scotland, both available from their ebay shop. I will dig out the links and post up
  9. The N/A needs back pressure, but not so much on the TT, 2.5 inch is about as large abore as you want to go really. If you do a search on exhaust size, there is lots of info and +'s & -'s. HTH

Holy shit Trish, sounds like a nightmare of a journey back, i hate airports at the best of times but the delays make it unbareable. It was good chatting to you and the other guys, especially sat night after a few bevvies, even at 3am we were still having a laugh and thats what makes the weekend so special, the interaction and the fact that no-one gets left on the sideline, apart from a certain someone, with a certain missus:D nough said. Glad you got back safely. Cheers Graham
  11. No, one is for the reverse light and the other is the neutral switch.
  12. Usually a short or a connector come lose or corroded, but it could be the climate ecu under the dash next to the clutch or where the clutch would be if its an auto. It more likely that the circuit board on the pod has a dry joint. HTH
  13. Looks the dog's, I have one to fit soon, what did you use to hold it on? sicoflex...? Cheers Graham
  14. I would check it again or get it on a consult, if its the det sensor it would be engine out to replace it, but there is a resistor mod that can be done to trick the ecu into thinking its ok. Sometimes doing the diagnostic, using the method you used you can sometimes count the flashes wrong, so do it a couple of times to be sure of what you are getting then go from there.
  15. Yes the dreaded front bumper, ive done it lol. How far have you got with it? The obvious bolts/fittings: remove the headlamp panel, and you will see 2x struts/plates from the bumper onto the crossmember. on each wheel arch you will need to undo 3 or so screws to pull back the plastic arch liner to gain access firstlt to 2x nuts that secure the bumper to the wing and there is a 3rd one a little further in on an L shape bracket. The same for the other side. Remove the indicators to gain access to the 3 nuts that hold the fog lamps on(assuming its a jap) All you need to do then is to remove the screw/bolts from under the bumper at the front from the splash guard. There is a support bar under the number plate opening which has a couple of bolts. Hope this helps. http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.503 Good luck Graham

Just got back, and i had a great time, great weather and great company. It was nice to meet so many friendly people, we had quite a few drinks and such a laugh. A huge thanks to Big Kim for manning the barbie and keeping the ice bin topped up for the booze. It was a pleasure meeting both Steve and Kim plus all those guys and gals who made it there, i will definitely be putting my name down for next years without a doubt. A big congrats to Steve300zx for his award in the show and shine, did the zed base proud and i was chuffed to win a couple of trophies from the stand in the prize giving. Hopefully many more members will be able to make it next year as well as the newbies, you will get to meet some great people and learn a great deal about your car and see some other amazing Jap examples around the arenas. Loads to do see,eat and drink....NOT to be missed. I could go on and on and probably will later. Top weekend Cheers Guys
  17. "Neutral switch not been connected will not cause the high idle only a 25 deg timing reading" In normal circumstances yes, but in an auto box to manual box conversion It will cause a high idle as the ecu will be reading the voltage incorrectly ie: when in gear on an auto the voltage is regulated to keep the car ticking over, when placed in neutral it compensates to stop too high tickover. If the neutral switch hasnt been connected or grounded, the ecu thinks that its in gear and therefore will run at higher revs. HTH Cheers Graham
  18. I cant imagine what you must be going through, i get too emotional when it comes to things like this, i hope everything pans out well for you guys, keep strong and my thoughts are with you. All the very best Graham
  19. Thats a shame Pete, i was hoping to get some bits off you. Cheers Graham
  20. Yes deffo give at the weekend, who is best to give it to Athene?
  21. Hi Mick, its usually because the neutral feed from the old auto box may not be connected, otherwise the ecu will be reading the pulses as though it still has an auto box. Actually ive not explained very well, after all its 6am and not been to bed yet, but if you do a search on auto to manual conversion and look at twinturbo.net, there is an explanation. Cheers Graham

If you were getting in earlier Trish i could have made a detour to Stanstead, but im getting there rediculously early, so i dont make a twat of myself putting the tent up that ive never done before lol. £45 sounds reasonable, but if you need a lift back to stanstead after JAE i dont mind taking you back. Have a good flight and see you at the party. Cheers Graham
