  1. Decatting my N/A, i used test pipes and too loud in the car. I have now fitted downpipes with silencers and although an improvement still too loud in the car at 2000revs. The jury is still out on my 6 pot venoms, they look the dog's at night, but still not sure of the look during the day. All in all alot of mods we do can be trial and error and personal taste and i wished i had thought alot more about them before going ahead, but thats part of the fun for me. Apart from wasting alot of dosh on the way.

I paid £200 for my 99 spec bumper and centre panel, but fitted it myself.
  5. :headvswal:headvswal:headvswal LOOK in the faq section:rofl:
  6. There are 2 headlamp relays, Left and Right under the large fuse holder in the engine bay to the right, i think they are blue. I think they control hi and low, which is why you need to ground pin 5 of the relay when fitting HID's to keep the mains on when flashing or using high beam. HTH
  7. Had a great day out, nice to meet some new faces as well as catching up with ones i know. A big big thanks Topless for the conzult, i knew there was something not quite right and now i know for sure, worth going for that alone. A nice mix of motors there and it still amazes me how, we all have the same car and yet they all look so different and individual. Look forward to the next meet. Cheers Graham
  8. Hopefully, its not drizzle here on the island, its still strong winds and rain, but according to the weather forecast, it will clear by 11 ish.
  9. Looking sweet there Stu, look forward to meeting you tommorrow. Cheers Graham
  10. About 11:30am, should give enough time to get there, not too early and not late:cool:

  14. Hi Athene, pompey as i have some free tickets, but will be driving up the M3 so could meet up at the first services and drive up together. Cheers Graham
  15. Hi Nick With a 16-18 year old car it is more than likely that most of our power steering pumps could do with replacing, its the same with the speedo boards, they tend to get dry joints which give an intermittent reading/signal to the power steering, in most cases its usually a dry joint or a dodgy kph-mph convertor.
  16. 1st dibs on conzult, i wouldnt mind seeing if there are any issues
  17. We dont get tub problems, boost issues, less chance of dett sensor going and best of all we can run our N/A's on a daily basis without too much trouble or fuel guzzling, so i would say thats pretty funky :D
  18. The speedo wire yellow with green stripe is pin 53 on the ecu, so it follows on from the speedo. If you use a multimeter on continuity setting place one prong on the back of the dash (yellow/green) wire and the other prong of the multimeter to pin 53 on the ECU, if it beeps you have continuity and therefore can elininate that side of your possible problem. Check the online manual for the electrical schematics, it will show where the signal travels. HTH Cheers Graham
  19. Drilling them out is a real pain in the ass, it took me 3 hours and 10 drill bits later to get 2 bolts out. I cant remember exactly the size but they are the same as the bolts that join the decats to the middle section. When you drill the old stud out, you will need to re tap the thread, which is near impossible with the manifolds in situe. I found that drilling the hole slightly bigger than the stud, you can use the nut and bolt to secure the down pipe. NB mine was on an N/A you may have more room to tap out a thread on a TT. Cheers Graham
  20. That feature is on a UK TT only Gezz, you may just have a loose connector, the handbrake light is seperate from the fluid/brake warning light on the dash. HTH Cheers Graham
  21. Hi Mate You will see the connector on the back of the speedo with a (yellow with green stripe) wire, that will have been cut, just rejoin the 2 with an inline crimp or twist together to try. The clock will then be reading in KPH again but you will be able to tell if the power steering stops acting up. If doing this does not cure the problem, then at least you can eliminate the convertor and move onto the next possible cause. Cheers Graham
  22. Hope this helps http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=29201
  23. Try disconnecting the convertor/delimiter box in the back of the dash first, to see if that sorts the problem, but make sure the yellow/green wire is connected back up to how it originally was, as this is the signal to the clock. At least its the first thing to eliminate in the list to check. HTH Graham
  24. It will be good to see you there Barry. Did you get the chip sorted? has it made a big difference. Cheers Graham
