  1. "Just get some ear plugs" As above, it will be a bit boomy at 2k revs inside the car, you are better off getting some decat pipes with small silencers on, as the cats act as a form of silencer.
  2. I just tried and got a valuation of £705 :smash: that wouldnt cover the cost of the wheels:rofl:
  3. Ok i will put you out of your misery........:D I didnt actually say it was for my Zed, after all there are many things that can go wrong with these babies without me adding an unknown equation, its for my other halfs mazda 323 1.5, it could do with a bit more juice and i thought it might be worth a go, good to guage the reactions though:rofl: I have spent too much money on getting the engine sweet and to be honest i wouldnt want to tempt fate by putting anything on it that doesnt belong. I will let you know how the mazda gets on with it
  4. Hi I knew there would be some piss taken and i will take it on the chin :mac1: As far as being a boat intake i suggest rather than take the mickey, have at look at their own website and see the cars that have them and judge for yourself. Nearly all on sports cars The worst that can happen is the maf wont adjust the air/fuel mixture quick enough or at all and then i just take it off and flog it to a saxo driving chav for twice the price. But i will keep you informed so you can either eat your words or i eat humble pie:cry:
  5. Footpanel by the accelerator pedal
  6. Its an NA, worth a try
  7. I saw it pictured on a 3.1 engine in the add, and the whole unit is twice the size of the other one available for £140, i just think it will be interesting to see if it makes any difference, if not then didnt cost much to find out.
  8. Im going on sunday Trish, unless you are leaving on sunday lol Cheers Graham
  9. I think one fuse for the mirrors, mine does it sometimes when i have been in a car wash ( god did i just let that slip) it needs a nudge to get the gearing back on track ie: its pushed slightly passed the point of return and the gearing cant catch. Failing that someone has whacked it without you knowing and the metal plate that turns the mirror housing has cracked. hth Cheers Graham
  10. I am probably going to get slated for buying this, but here goes. I just bought this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330233396106&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=014 I want to see if it will make much difference and i know that i will get the usual comments;) but after spending so much time fitting leds into any orifice available :x: ( on the car that is) i fancied a bit of fun. Now in all seriousness if it may not be suitable ie: fook up the engine, which after reading up about it, shouldnt do then i can always flog it to a chav saxo driver for twice the price :D What do you think? (holds breath)

  13. Available any motor factors Paul, Halfrauds for one, not expensive either. I got Maguiars as well but autosol is better.
  14. Hi Tony, the sidelights are housed in the front fog lights in the bumper, it will be likely that either a bulb has gone or if both bulbs are gone then a fuse. The round light is the dipped beam, the rectangular one is main beam and yes the dip does go off when main beam is on. A simple mod can change it so that both are on but you need to get it all working first lol. Rear fog is a standard fail on jap cars that dont have them fitted as standard, for speed and ease just get a cheapy from halfords for the mot then take it off after. HTH cheers Graham

Hi Guys, i can only go sunday as im working fri and sat, what are the times ie: what time are things getting underway or finish time, i would really like to go, but if everyones leaving at lunch time i may have to give it a miss. Cheers Graham
  16. Hi Dean The only other thing that no-one has mentioned is that the pads have a bedding in period, I had new discs and pads fitted recently to my Iveco van and it took a few miles of braking before they felt good, just a thought. Cheers Graham
  17. I know Graham I was going to upgrade to sky HD too;) Then it should be spot on, The only thing i noticed which the engineers could not answer, when i use surround sound there is a delay when using sound from the tv as well, ie: using the tv as a centre speaker-ish, which worked fine on my last tele, but not on this, i tried scart, hdmi, coax and phono and could not sort it. Although its not a major problem, would have been nice to have the sound from everywhere. All the best with it Iain.
  18. I bought a samsung 32", samsungs are great and look nice, now the 1080dp is the highest quality, but the thing to remember is that the signal being sent by sky or terrestrial tv are of a lower resolution, so you can get some odd colour blending due to lower quality signal. When you view one of these tv's in the shop, the picture is amazing. I got it home and plummed it in with all new leads and although the pic quality was good it was not what i expected. I had to buy sky hd digibox and............WOW what a difference. So the moral of this pointless story is this you only get out what you put in, like Mac having a nissan micra engine in his beast, it would be all show and no go. Point made.....i think

I bought the whole system from those guys, it sounds great, well made, but be aware that the decat downpipes are tight to the gearbox on an auto as the sump on the box is bigger, my right hand decat pipe rubs slightly on the side of the sump, ive been told it would need modifying to get round the problem. Im having a manual box fitted soon so wont need to touch the zorst it will fit fine. Also a bit boomy at about 2k revs with no cats, but if you were buying just the rear cat-back as in the advert then i think you will be well pleased, especially the price. Cheers Graham
  20. Grumble great, but when you are on the motorway for a few hours, the boom does your head in. It has the x pipe, but when you put your foot down a bit ,it is noisy, being an auto at the moment doesnt help as youve got less control over the gearing, but i think i will end up getting some small silencers to go where the cats were as Paul has done. Hi Paul, still not got round to putting the S2 pod and ecu in, had a duff back, the past week and im away next week so hopefully before the end of the month i wiil get it fitted. Cheers Graham
  21. After having a full stainless exhaust fitted, down pipes and cat back, its still too boomy at about 2k revs. Sounds great when floored and nice gurgle when coasting, but for normal driving ie: 35-40mph too boomy in the cabin. What have you done to combat this problem? Do you just put up with it? Or have you just got cat back only. I feel the cats helped quieten the engine and dont really feel much difference since decatting, performance wise, Any suggestions ( sensible ones) Cheers Graham
  22. Muso, i run a band performing at corporate parties, weddings etc...all over the country/world..
  23. Hi James I got ,mine from a guy on ebay, specifically for the 300zx and very cheap (foudasibad) i think but if you type in 300zx gaitors into ebay it will come up. Cheers Graham
  24. Hi Dan There are brake shoes which sit in the inner bell of the disc and are seperate from the calipers. Cheers Graham
  25. Hi Steve, i have pm'd you regarding dash leds. You can add more but as there are no extra mounts available, you will need to use a spare 501 holder and solder tails on to get power and then hot glue it near the top end of the 2 dails that need more light. The tails can be attached to the 2 metal brackets at the bottom of the dash for power. The 5 way leds are far better at dispersing the light around the inside of the dash housing than the standard single flat top 501 replacement you get in car accessory shops. You could also use 2x 3led strips you can get in halfrauds, which are designed for use with outer door handles and stick them to the top of the inside of the dash housing. http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?p=448729&mode=threaded&highlight=leds#post448729 HTH Cheers Graham
