  1. Obviously your tracks would be mixed from cubase, then onto minidisc from either a good sound card, or as i use, external synth modules. The plus side to this is that the track, along with all levels will be the same every time with no messing, downside, each track will not be mixable live if thats what you are after doing. Cheers Graham
  2. I used to use domestic ( home hifi) type and were ok but didnt like the rigours of the road, the Sony 1u are hard to get hold of now unless secondhand, but Tascam do them and there are some other makes, you are looking at about £280ish each, although sounds expensive, the rackmount ones are designed to be taken on the road and will be very reliable, but you could get a cheap hifi minidisc off ebay £50+ to give it a try first. Hope this helps Cheer Graham
  3. I use minidisc live, and have done for years, track right and click left for the drummer. I use 2 sony 1u mds e11 rackmount and headphone amp, so the drummer can control the volume of his click and wired both outs of the minidiscs together to a xlr. This way you can have tracks on different discs with the same output, works a treat for me, and i use them every week all over the country and have taken it for gigs abroad, pretty bulletproof. Cheers Graham
  4. Hi Mate, i think i will give them a good clean first to see if they are ok as they are, failing that, i will get a new seal kit, im working this weekend so wont be able to get on to it till monday, i will let you know how i get on with them. Cheers Graham
  5. Hi Paul Im pleased you like them, Im going to clean up the TT calipers and put the new discs on next week, and i will send you the other pod, probably monday so you can replace the one with the duff board, Say a big thanks to the family from me, i felt a bit guilty not saying goodbye, but i didnt want to disturb them getting ready, speak to you soon Cheers Graham
  6. I had the cambelt done for peace of mind more than anything, but the engine is definitley smoother and at the same time had all the cam seals done and all new belts cos they are quite cheap, so worth doing, the lightened under pulley wont make a great deal of difference unless you do the all the pulleys but looks nice ;) Im lucky enough to have a zed which ran well before, but it gives you more confidence to take it anywhere, knowing that these jobs are done. Cheers Graham
  7. Hi snoopy, yes picked it up today, thanks mate. Definitley wasnt mine as i took it up first thing wed morning stayed in a lodge and left with it thurs afternoon, your wasnt there jimmy as i asked scott how you were getting on with it Cheers Graham
  8. Just had my zed into Nexus performance in southend for 2 days to have some work done, runs sweeter and smoother than before. :hyper: Cambelt Tensioner pulleys Ancilliary belts lightweight under drive pulley oil and filter fuel filter spark plugs gearbox oil water pump thermostat water pipes coolant aic cleaned etc Car heater warms up much quicker now as the coolant was pretty dire, gearbox oil was much the same, will need another flush, but already changes gear smoother than before. A great job by Scott and Ollie at nexus pro, really knows his stuff.
  9. Nice deep dish maybe, there looks like there is not enough wheel under the car, the centre of gravity looks out imo, but it amazing what you can do with some spacers and turn your wheels back to front lol
  10. Try unipart, i ordered one today and it will be here tommorrow, the part number is: ADN 19213, Its a blueprint part number, they will be able to get it for you in a day or so. Hope this helps cheers Graham
  11. I think power steering will work Stationary or virtually no speed, but i found my power steering didnt work when my speedo stopped working, fixed a dry joint on the board never had a problem since, so it is connected, something to do with the voltage from the ecu via the speed sensor. Could be wrong and probably havent explained it that well, but you get the gist. Cheers Graham
  12. Hi Paul, sorry to hi-jack, but while youve got the clocks out, stick those new leds in. Because the holes are slightly smaller, its easier to put at least 2 of them( temp guage and speedo) in from inside the clock housing.( you are probably gonna do that anyway lol) All the best Graham
  13. Cheers for the replies guys, Here is a more detailed list of what im after. The left and right targa rubber ( u shaped then down the windscreen) £198 each from Nissan, targa glass rubber left and right £38 each, the door rubber seals, ie: from the wing mirror right round to the top of the door pillar £78 each including all the clips total £628  the other rubber seals i can live with price wise, but £400 for 2 bits of rubber, a bit steep imo. Just think of everything you could buy for the zed for that sort of money lol. Yampie, can you let me know what you got left rubber wise and i will have them, cheers mate. Graham
  14. Before i go and spend £600 with Nissan on targa rubbers and door rubbers, does anyone have any really good rubber seals available for the targas, door rubbers with the clips. Cheers Graham
  15. Scott is a good lad and has worked on jap cars for years, he is going to do my cambelt etc when he gets a slot to fit me in, he has a few zeds of his own and really knows his stuff, i wouldnt think twice about using him for any major engine work, after all its your pride and joy and want it done right first time.
  16. The door cards are more of a pain to get off as they have a rubber backing on them that the dash panels dont have. Better to remove the old glue as suggested otherwise when you apply a new coat of glue, the old stuff bubbles and peels as there is solvent in the glue which tries to re activate the old. The cleaner the suface the better and remember to cut the new material slightly larger than the panel, or as you mould it to the contours you will find yourself short. I learnt from that mistake lol
  17. It said 4-7 days delivery and in the Uk. Thats against ebay trading rules right there, 5 weeks still no goods and coming from California, in their feedback there have been a lot of recent complaints regarding delivery and lack of communication
  18. Ive gone for the carbon fibre look dash kit from KTO KOGO on ebay, but im still waiting for it after a month, they have given me a tracking number but nothing yet. The add says UK location, but they are in california so unless you want to wait weeks dont bother with this company, the communication is also non existent.
  19. I had all the numbers....... on different fooking lines  £17.80 from a £60 investment, i would have been better off going to the casino lol
  20. Thanks Paul, much appreciated Cheers Graham
  21. By the way gaz, i'm gonna win ive just spent £60 on tickets  and if i dont :hurl: could have bought summin else for the car lol
  22. Tell her the parcel tape is for a little game you have devised lol
  23. Hi Paul, Yes its fairly easy, wipers off then the plastic clips which hold the left and the right cowling, the motor is held on with 4 10mm bolts and is attached at the bottom of the motor by the bit i need, to the wiper control arm, as i discovered today talking to various people it is more than likely part of the motor, so a whole working motor would be good for me, snoopy is hopefully sorting one out but i dont mind having 2 just incase. After all the money ive loaded into the car in mods and running the littlest thing like this is a barsteward as it was peeing it down on the day i went to the mainland, had to drive faster lol to get the wind to blow the water off the windscreen, but bit hairy going past lorries. Luckily its been dry the past couple of days but the sooner i can replace it the better, let me know price and how you want paying. Cheers Graham
