  1. All well and good, but i have a gnats cock distance between my calpers and alloys as it is, if i add a cover i will need spacers :D
  2. Yours will light up zac if you stick a bulb in it lol
  3. looks great, i bet alot of members would love a painting of their zed, might be worth looking into
  4. That bit takes 5 minutes lol, running the wires to the number plate bulb or into the boot, takes a bit longer:D
  5. Its not just a reflector, if you get a torch you can see a little square where the bulb would fit. I just been outside with a torch lol
  6. But some are sealed, so might need drilling, but the shape is there.
  7. You may have a boost leak or running safety, as a TT, even standard should be pretty fast and lots of mods to be done to get uo the bhp. Do some searches in the threads and you will find alomost everything you need to know. Welcome to the site by the way
  8. Is it this one http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=103#
  9. The green replaces the violet in the description, iirc the grey can be left off, its a signal for something else, which im damned if i can remember at the mo, its been so long. If you bought it off Jeff then he will be able to tell you exactly Cheers Graham
  10. It does make a difference, mines mapped, for induction kit, stainless exhaust etc.. and most important, removes the rev limiter
  11. Yep as dave said, its for the speed convertor and takes its voltage from the speedo, so ignore it. Also the 2 screws that dave has indicated, are connected also to the 2 screws at the bottom of the dash on the black surround, so either option will work and will also be dimmable from the pod
  12. No Its not, If you look at the bottom of the dash ( between the legs) lol There are 2 screw at the back of the dash, you need the 2 screws at the bottom of the dash, the live is next to where the convertor is hanging in the pic, the other the ground
  13. You would need to have yours or a socketed ecu to take a new chip, get a chip mapped from John dixon or Andyp on the forum
  14. Hi Rich, the easiest way is to wire into the 2 screws at the bottom of the dash binnacle, as you look at the dash, the screw on the left is the live feed. Put some crimp rings on the end of the wires, so that each screw goes through and holds it securely. The 2 screws at the bottom of the dash by the way are also the feed for the 4 small bulbs for front illumination, most are usually blown, but if you remove them anyway, so it doesnt spoil the effect. Cheers Graham PS will send those leds on monday
  15. Hi Andre I dont think any came as standard on the zed, but there are a few alternatives available Funkysi has pics, he has posted before, if you do a search you might find em before he gets to read this post. Heres one i found http://www.excite-webtl.jp/world/english/web/?wb_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.zcar-owners.net%2Fclub%2Fdiy%2Fledmirror.htm&wb_lp=JAEN&wb_dis=2 Cheers Graham
  16. I tried it before i posted and worked fine.
  17. for the jap conversion i think the resistor needs to be changed to a 10k or 100k( its been a while i will have to look it up) even then you would have to use the pots to adjust, which as ianl stated the series 4 does not have. I would persevere with the face change and leave the circuitry alone, as he stated it is do-able and yes, get a convertor, although they can cause problems of their own ie: power steering , hicas issues although nothing major
  18. yes in the faq section, under how to.........lol
  19. Thats it, i got to get a quicker keyboard :slap::rofl:
  20. Nice one bud, now you can enjoy the full benefits of the forum and post in the wanted or for sale section with no reprise. Enjoy
  21. unbelievable, i was just about to paste the same page, and saw Kim beat me to it.............................Then you post at the same time:D
  22. I could be wrong, but as i see it the faces should be the same pretty much on all series, its the actual clock fitting and shape that mounts to the dash cluster that differs to the series 4. I would say that the dial face may not have been fitted properly in the first place, as i say i could be wrong, ive never worked on a series 4, but the indiglow dials fit all series as far as im aware. If the face was replaced, the needle has to come off, good chance that it wasnt replaced properly, they are a bitch to get right. There will be a resistor on all the pcb speedo's, its part of the circuitry and the ohm'age deterimines the current going through it. HTH
  23. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=105794 There is also a link on the last thead HTH
  24. Its worth every penny mate, easier to advertise for parts wanted and for sale as well as all the other advantages. Cheers Graham
