  1. I bought the catback also from these guys, i find the drone at about 40mph, when you get up to 70mph and back off the acc, its not too bad. The cats act as a silencer and the original back boxes are silencers, so by doing a full decat on an N/A you are basically losing all your silencers. There is a rear baffle mod on the single outlet pipe that eliminates the drone, which i will be doing when i get my garage cleared, so i can get the car backed in to get out of this poxy weather. When you want to just floor it and be heard it does sound nice, but when you need to pop out for some fags after midnight, you feel yourself cringing a bit with the noise, but hey ho:D
  2. Thats the one, the ad always says "the last one", but they have lots:D
  3. Hi The ebay kit is still available, a little more expensive than before. I have an N/A I originally bought the decats from 2fast2cool, they were loud, fitted around my autobox ok, i sold them on to another member with an auto and he had problems fitting. In the end i bought the decats with silencer from the zcentre , definitely a bit quieter, but to be honest i wished id have left them alone, cos the drone is annoying inside the car. Just my opinion Graham
  4. I personally, having had both, prefer the velour. In the summer the leather can be hot on the back of your legs after having the roof off in the sun and in the winter they are cold. So im glad ive gone with velour. If its a weekend toy then theres not alot in it, but i use mine everyday.

  9. Great news Trish, its good to hear some good news, shame about the Daimler, obviously a complete tosspot, but your well shot now. All the best Graham
  10. It will be amazing when its finished, but i cant understand why you bought such a nice example in the first place, only to strip everything and have the engine rebuilt, would it not have been cheaper to buy a standard car and then rebuild. Just curious lol Graham
  11. I get confused somtimes between facebook and my space and often tell girls to come on my face:x:
  12. An unusual one, but check the obvious first Did your car whine before you installed the new alternator, as it all seems to point at that at the minute. Almost like it has a short or getting hot and like a trip cuts out, but a trip doesnt reset itself. With heat the metal cores of a wire will get hot and expand, when cool contract. 1 try another alternator from a fellow member 2 as santa suggestion, check all the wires and connections from the alternator
  13. Yes, the only thing different was the odometer, dont know why though, unless the original one didnt work and got replaced with a jap one
  14. There is a thread somewhere, you can tighten the spring, will try and dig it out, you can also try a silicon based spray on the belt, pull it all the way out fully and spray the belt on both sides. Dont spray it on the last section that you use to pull over you, or you will get it on your hands, it will help the friction.
  15. Found out why mine was reading in kph:smash: The uk clocks: odometer has a blue cog Jap : " " black cog So the Uk clocks i got from Paul at swz must have just had the speedo dial and board changed :nono: It wasnt until Bigman pointed this out to me  Now sorted:nana2:

Yes lots of seats now lol, got rid of a set of leathers, another 2 front leather seats going, im left with the original tweed and the ones i have in now are a grey/blue velour, a bit like tweed and the ones i just got from you, velour/alcantara Pods already done, im onto the dash next lol Graham
  18. Got all the goodies today, many thanks:bow::bow: The interior bits are ideal, the seat covers are differnt to my new velour ones, but i prefer the alcantara look, more work:smash: Will get on with the dash its and try and get the indicator bits done together to send back Cheers Graham
  19. The TCU (Time control unit) controls the intermittent wiper speed, you may have a burnt out track on the board. JeffTT has a load of spare ones, should solve your problem
  20. You just need a switch that can illuminate to show that its on, and ref to wiring in the previous post above, wiring will work, you dont need a relay though, it will work without, mine does lol
  21. As the when you turn the key, the button acts as a contact switch, it only gets current until the engine has started, its acts almost like a contact breaker, but in reverse and momentary. If you notice when you start the car you turn the key all the way to its fullest point and once the engine has started it returns back one notch, the push button acts as the last notch in the barrel so to speak Hopefully thats as clear as mud lol
  22. I hope i do lol he'll know what he's doing by then and remember the car
  23. So does Zac apparently:rofl:
  24. Please do. If it all works how you want, do a little write up and i will stick it in the faq section Graham
