I worked with him a last month at Chesford Grange in Coventry for a corporate do, nice bloke, went down well, but seems to be funnier on the tele imo. The same routine, so maybe having heard him a few times, not as funny.

Portsmouth lads - know a kind MOT garage?
You can get a bolt on from halfords for about £10 plus you need a switch on the dash. Search for fog light and there will be lots of threads with some options. You can also convert one of your reverse lights to a fog and put a red bulb/led in.

How to fit new dials?
Araldite will be fine, the thin 3m double sided tape should be ok, but you dont want to add any more height than you need for the clearance of the needles. You will lose the fuel light warning, but some have relocated it to a spare holder in the bottom of the dash. You can solder some wire to the existing bulb holder and run it down to a spare and solder to the bulb holder.

How to fit new dials?
If you look at fig 1 on the aus link, you will see 2 red arrows where the screws go into the bottom brackets, you can use those to power the EL dials. As you look at the pic the right hand arrow is the positive feed. I would also use a soft setting glue, like pritt stick or contact adhesive. Super glue gets brittle when cold and can lift the dial face, which will hinder the needle sweep. You should be able to blow the needles effortlessly round apart from the fuel needle. It doesnt matter where the fuel needle sits when you have finished as it will move to whatever level of fuel you have in the tank. HTH

Z32 MAF problem
These are a few i could find whithout going outside in the rain lol The last 2 will probably be the most help. http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/8/web/260000-260999/260562_47_full.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~rogoman/images/ka24de_maf_wiring.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b65/robcorriveau/IMG_0586.jpg http://i1.frsimg.com/images/detailed_images/FRS_Z32Plug_1.jpg http://media.photobucket.com/image/z32%20maf%20wiring/fastboy501/MAF%20wiring/RB_to_Z32_AFM_Guidecopy.jpg

bumper lights
The side light on a Jap are in the fog light housing. Some jap models had a curb light that comes on with the indicators, in the same housing.

The annode is the longer leg of an led and a resistor needs to be soldered to the annode unless wired in series HTH

gauge pod to sit on top of the dash
He has a spare car, so got one on tap

gauge pod to sit on top of the dash
I wouldnt worry too much about cutting the dash, i would go for the mk2 version, which has better fitment and has some bolts in it which make it easier to get it tighter to the dash. Ianl has one iirc, worth asking his advice as he has fitted the V1 also in the past, be able to compare the differences in fit.

gauge pod to sit on top of the dash
I find the angle slightly low to see the top of the gauges and it takes some fettling to get it sit on the dash properly. You also have to cut the dash out to fit it, so you want to make sure its definitely what you want lol.

Do you want the led on all the time the abs is on, or do you want it on when the abs is off? Basically the switch is inline and is acting as a breaker to the feed of the abs. You can use the 12v from the abs for the led with a 470ohm resistor on the positive leg and ground to the switch ground, the led will be on all the time the abs is on, if you only want the led on when abs is off you will need a seperate 12v feed for the led and make ground when switch is on, thus making the circuit. Clear as mud lol
