  3. Welcome to the club, have fun with your new toy. Any questions, just ask, theres alot of info here and helpful people to boot. Graham
  4. If your hazards are working but the indicators are not, check the plug into the back of the hazard switch, give it a wiggle or push it in harder, should solve the problem. The only other thing to try if not the hazard switch is to waggle the indicator stalk. My money is on the hazard switch plug lol
  5. Its a T5 Al. You want to get the 3 way T5 smd led available on ebay. The advantage of the 3 way is that it has an led at the end and one on each side. You virtually lose the use of the top one cos of the angle of the bulb. Failing that, Martin (zedwizz) has made some led boards that he designed specifically for the map lights. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/T5-3528-SMD-3-LED-Wedge-Dashboard-Light-Bulb-Lamp-12V-/140456905215?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20b3e249ff You might need to trim the holder part, they are usually too long. HTH Graham
  6. Defo sounds like a dry joint on the speedo pcb board. You will need to take the speedo clock out of the dash binnacle and run some fresh solder anywhere that looks dull. Mainly around the R10 resistor area as this is where the signal passes through. Quite a common fault, but usually easily rectified. Note that even refolwing the joints with fresh solder doesnt always cure the problem, you may have components on the board that are dead. If you can do it yourself, then great, if not you can take it to any good electronics repair place, like a TV repair place. HTH Graham
  7. Its up to you really. You wouldnt need to to use it everywhere, maybe at the arm position on the door cards and the centre console. Using a foam (very thin, almost like a liner) can give it substance, but i would glue the foam to the material first, let it go off, then apply most of the glue to the card youre fitting it too, otherwise you end up with a bubbly mess lol. Take a look on you tube and search for car interior retrim, there are some great tips around.
  8. :happybday: have a nice day :happybday:
  9. :happybday: Have a great day and keep the jokes coming lol :happybday:
  10. If you have the chance, i would upgrade to TT calipers and disc. This makes changing and obtaining discs in the future far easier. Try MJP on here or ebay. I had the 26mm discs on mine originally and at the time where a nightmare to obtain. Good luck with your search. Graham
  11. That reminds me, we havent seen Lorenzo or Cyrus for a while. Are you having another bash this year Jeff? Graham
  12. Scam..... you want to contact paypal yourself by phone or through paypal login. You dont need to send any money. When you set up paypal, they send you 2 small amounts ie pence, to verify your account. I would open a new paypal account and close the current one, once youve got good contact with paypal regarding the situation.
  13. Get a 1 din flip up screen, with a duff screen and use the motors, job done lol
  14. I saw him the other week on the island, his zed is still off the road, not sure what he's up too, might give him a bell in the week
  15. It will go in the smiley face just in front of the grill. The trouble is, the full size number plate virtually covers the whole grill, not too important for me as mine is an N/A , but still not as nice as without one all together lol
  16. Apart from some possible local meets, check the are in the events section, hopefully JeffTT will be having a xmas bash again at Zedworld in Tamworth, quite a few of us turned up last year from all over, great day, worth a trip if its on again. Graham
  17. Ive just shaved my 99 spec bumper and smoothed it, hence no number plate holes and its in my window, for now lol
  18. Madmax bought a system for plating. IIRC, you can use a zinc spray on plastic for it to take, or something like that.
  19. :happybday: have a good day mate :happybday:
  20. Any good hardware store will have the evo stick glue, i think B&Q have it, but to be honest never looked as i have a local hardware shop who supply it.
  21. Ive been driving mine round for a few weeks with it in the window, been to France and back, passed loads of police cars and nothing. JimmyTT has had his that way for a few yers now. I just think its luck of the draw to whether you get pulled, but as said it cant be seen by ANPR cos of the angle, im still showing it at the front of the car, so as far as im concerned i will argue the toss in court. Its not permament, it will go back under the bumper facia when ive finished the bodywork, but for now, its in the windscreen lol
  22. Welcome to the club and good luck with your search. Some have dropped in price, but there are a few that have kept their value, depends on what the seller wants for it and what youre prepared to pay. You could get a bargain for very little money, but having owned 2 previously, you know you can spend alot on them aswell lol
  23. OMG i thought being at the top of the Eiffel tower was high, but jesus, thats scary lol
