heaters smell
All the fuel pipes. Check the clips and condition around the clip. The main culprits are at the plenum, there is a little pipe that goes from the fuel damper to the injector feed, the fuel tends to drip onto the rocker cover just under the damper, but tends to stop once the engine is warm, which is why you end up smelling the fuel when cold. you also have a connecting fuel pipe at the front of the engine, under the throttle cover that links the injector feed hard pipe, again 2 jubilee clips to check, although harder to get too. Old pipes become brittle over time, so worth checking the condition over the length of the pipe. Dont go taking a pipe off though, its under pressure, there is a procedure to do this should you need to take it that far. Graham

hi all
Hi and welcome to the club. The problems you appear to have a very minor, but to make life easier for yourself, go and see Jeff at Zedworld, he is down the road from you in Tamworth. He can stick on the diagnostics and sort the problems out for you. Also is likely to have the bits you need as he has a lot of breaker and secondhand parts. HTH Graham

Plenum pull
You can get rid of all the water pipes under the plenum. They route to the rear water pipes on branches, which can be blanked/welded or use a piece of hose to create a loop.

Plenum pull
Hi Mate, get the gaskets etc from MJP, i got all mine from Mike. Its a shame your so far away i have all the power tools to do the job lol. If you have a drill, you can buy an abrasive wheel, which is impregnated with silicon, using that will get the top layer down. Or a flapper wheel, 80 grit upwards etc. You may as well do the plenum water bypass while youre at it. Write up in the faq section.

Help!!!
Less than a fiver on ebay, for the H3, but definitely worth upgrading to HID's as Paul said. Best £30 you can spend and easy to fit.

disc warping?
Might also be worn front tension rod bushes. If you still have the original OEM rubber bushes, when worn they tend to leak and cause brake judder, as ive just found with mine. Thought i was leaking power steering fluid, but its the bush.

Help!!!
Are they for Jap or UK. either way you can get H3 from halfords. If its Jap, it should be H3c but by doing an earth mod using a bit of wire to the bulb holder, you can use the H3. HTH

update on my swb restoration
You dont have too, but will look like they should be there rather than an added after thought if blended. Ive gone for blended, so that it will look nicer when you open the door. I have blended the line slightly with the bodywork, but not ground down and filled for the complete smooth look, if you know what i mean.

update on my swb restoration

Dyeing Fairlady Mats
That could be just the brightness in the pics, i would take them to a launderette, bigger machines and less chance of buggering the wifes up lol

Dyeing Fairlady Mats
I could be wrong, but are all the shagpile carpets not the same colour? obviously there will be varying shades after being in the sun or wear and tear, just a thought, if anyone knows lol The pile could be dyed, but i would of thought there would be a fair bit of scotchguard type protection on them. Give it a go and be one of the first
