Knock sensor
Most of the plugs are obvious and will only go where they came out, but for peace of mind and ease of putting back together, i would label each one. Especially the injectors, depending on what type you have, the spring clips are PITA to get off. There are a few write ups for plenum removal, just take your time lol

Knock sensor
If youre swapping the plenum, get a new gasket lol. As Dave said you can get to it by removing the lower plenum, you may as well get rid of the EGR too and do a plenum water bypass, the amount of stuff you need to take off its just as easy removing or lifting the engine to access it lol but if youre removing the plrnum anyway, youre half way there.

Knock sensor
There is one here going cheap http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/300ZX-TT-Z32-parts-KNOCK-DETONATION-SENSOR-plug-/380265953829?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item58899dfa25

Knock sensor
The knock sensor is right on top of the block at the rear of the engine. To change it means engine out. Its sometimes likely that the cable to the knock sensor is at fault rather than the sensor itself. You can get pattent parts from MJP now or there are some on ebay. You can try the resistor mod, which tricks the ecu into thinking its fine, although if you have any underlying problems, you could do more damage, but worth a try to eliminate the initial error code. There is also a relocation mod, but there was a reason Nissan put it there in the first place, but a last resort if you dont want the engine out route. I would check the connectors for corrosion, do a continuity test from the pins on the ecu. There is only one signal wire to the knock sensor, the other is a ground, although not connected to the plug, it acts more as a shield from what i can tell. HTH Graham

Welcome Anthony and its great to see Chewies old car back in the fold. It was one of my favourites when i bought mine, I was lucky to meet mick too in the early days and a lovely guy who loved his car. I look forward to seeing it back to its former glory. you lot on here!!
Yep it was missing something this year and i agree with Kim, i was really looking forward to some drunken chats, like we did before, so you were missed without a doubt. Infact i never had one drink all weekend, stuck to coffee, but i felt so much better in the morning for it lol. Youre a fighter Trish and you have come through so much, so dont despair, you have friends on here and youre family for support and hopefully you can make it next year to make up for it. All the best Graham

JaiKai Black Zed Project
Hi Lee, the three wires in the plug are for the side light and fog feed, they share the same ground, black wire and the 2 stripe wires are the feeds. You may already know this lol, but the sidelights should come on also when you depress the fog switch.

Back off me hols
Hi peeps, got back from me holiday a few hours ago, been a long week, with JAE being the start of it for me. After JAE went down to Portsmouth to pick up the other half and kids to head for Kent. Did a swift £9.50 Sun holiday in a caravan park ( i hate caravans lol) and it ends up at about £80 all in without food and drink, so £9.50 my arrse. The kids though that this was their holiday and did enjoy it, but not as much as the surprise trip to Paris, ( hence staying in Kent) wanted to be as close to Dover as poss for the 6am ferry to Dunkirk. Did the Eiffel tower, right to the top, it is bloody high lol. Legs ached like hell, as we walked to stage 2 which didn't look too far from the ground ( wrong). With the queuing and the amount of people there, it took nearly 4 hours or so to get up there and get down again. We then headed for marne le valle near Disneyland Paris, to stay in a hotel and recoup from the walking. The food was really expensive for what you were getting, so the kids decided they wanted a macdonalds. Go all the way to France and had a Maccy D lol. We went to Val de europe, one of the countries biggest shopping arcades for the food and had a look round, absolutely massive, worth a visit. Had an early night, then left for Disney bright and early. The look on the boys faces was priceless. They had no idea we were going to Disney lol. Had a great time and a really good run back, the zed didn't miss a heartbeat and everyone in the cue for the Disney car park kept staring at the car, so i was happy. France or parts of it are so expensive, compared to a few years ago. Everything is pretty much rounded up to make up a whole figure, like 3-4 euros for a coffee. With the rate as it is now its pretty much the same as the pound. Park entry 67 euros for adult, 57 Es for children, free for under 3 Car park 15 euros, so nearly £200 just to get in and the place was rammed. Got lucky with some fast passes for rides, but most were an hour waiting time and longer. Went on the new Hollywood Tower hotel ride, where the lift drops from the top to the bottom of the shaft, awesome. Some good new rides in both parks, the parades are fantastic for the kids, well worth a visit if you haven't been. Well worth saving up and having enough to spend to really enjoy. After trying to do this on a budget, i still spent around £600 for 2 days. you can get a package for around the same price, with a hotel on the park/village. Glad to be back, still feel a bit jaded and stiff from the driving, but thoroughly enjoyed it. If anyone wants any info or tips, i will be happy to help. I went there over 27 times in previous years for work, so know the way quite well lol. Graham

I agree a big thanks to Kim for a great weekend. Nothing was too much trouble and even when lack of sleep caught up, he still stayed to the end, most nights lol. A warm and friendly welcome, sterling job. Graham

A/C compress
Check the serial number on the top of the compressor, there were different variants that are of no use to another series etc.. Spare parts should be OK to half inch, its if you change the whole unit. Im not 100% what it is exactly, i just knew from Mike Feeney at MJP when i was going to sell him one i had on my spare engine, but alas no good for his needs.
