  1. No, Dave is too busy making stick on bits of fibreglass to hide the rust on our motors:bow::bow:
  2. As said above, you really have to see the beast in the flesh, pics cant really do it justice. You miss out on the whole aura of the thing. The time and effort Jason and son, put into this work of art is commendable and regardless of peoples opinion, the 300zx is in the spotlight again. So cant wait to see what new incarnation he can dream of next........ Well done mate, outstanding. Graham
  3. Welcome back to forum, i bet you miss the sun though lol
  4. :offtopic::smartass:
  5. A few more minutes of fun and im going to have to delete a few threads to put the thread back on topic Cheers
  6. Why do you say that? have i said anything in my replies that would suggest that im being aggressive, far from it lol
  7. Theres always one lol.... I wish:winkiss:
  8. Come on guys, we are having a discussion, to create a positive outcome, please keep it on topic and not go over old ground or entice deletion. Cheers Graham
  9. I know Mark, that subject has been covered already and isnt relevent to this post:wink:
  10. Please remember that items sold within the club, have no direct involvement with anyone, except the two parties involved with the sale. Creating a holding account, I'm sure you have to be an accredited boker or bank or fsa registered etc... we are not a bank lol. But if you want to put it into my account for now, will look after it for you:thumbup::arabia: wont be in the Bahamas long :lol:
  11. No stamina Dave  Im sure Brian will view any of the constuctive comments and if they can be implemented to make life easier then im sure he will do it. Cheers Graham
  12. I dont think it needs to be a rule, but made clear as part of the condition of sale and if everyone starts to sell in the same way, it will become standard procedure. We view all posts anyway, so no extra work for us, its what we do lol
  13. The for sale section is in the members only area of the forum and we can have as many rules as you want, but we already get slated for acting like police lol, "too many rules". I think you might have been unlucky Kurt, but generally the dealings are honoured with no problems, but as they say, its not news unless its bad
  14. To be honest, if it were me, i couldnt be arsed to put up that many posts, to gain a few quid and bugger off. In this instance though he isnt a new member, been here since 2004, ok not thousands of posts, last here 25th Aug. What can you do really to avoid what is a fairly rare occaion this sort of thing crops up.
  15. might need to start another thread to discuss this further as we are encroaching on the original purpose of the thread
  16. I see what your saying, but surely the money needs to be exchanged before the goods are sent.
  17. Top man and a great offer, see all is not doom and gloom and with great members on here like JeffTT who are able to help, will do.
  18. Hi Kurt, how are you doing? Just to add, unfortunately, i don't think there is much we can add to the rules that would have any substance, to stop this ever happening again. Its not a regular occurrence and all sales are on trust, if the seller is new, then buyer beware. Always open to suggestions though, to make life easier for everyone, so dont feel you are wasting your time mate. Some issues have to be discussed, before acting upon and can take time, some may be implemented quicker than others if viable. Cheers Graham
  19. 1 and 2 pretty standard to be honest, photos can be doctored, payment is sellers choice or mutual agreement. Closing a thread doesnt resolve the sale falling through though. The issue here is a seller taking monies and not delivering the goods, it doesnt matter how many rules you put in place it can still happen. I think name and address made available and maybe you need to be subscribed for a certain length of time, to form some sort of track record. But again not concrete. Dave, you have a lot of dealing with selling, how do you feel, in real terms in your opinion we could improve the chances of this issue not arrising.
  20. True Dave, there are usually two sides to a story, however, i know if you are on the receiving end, you dont want to hear a story, you want resolve. Common sense prevails, akin to comments in another thread, we are all adults and used to dealing with buying and selling in our lives, one way or another. One of the reasons that subscribed members only are allowed to sell, is to help prevent this sort of thing happenning, but there will always be the odd one that goes south.
  21. You may have a few issues which will affect the poor fuel economy. Dont get me wrong, they can all guzzle, but if running correctly, you more likely to get the best you can out of the tank. Running rich, may need a service, try and get it on consult. Youre not far from Zedworld, well worth the visit for peace of mind. If its not running right, he can sort it for you, or at least give you an better idea of whats going on.
  22. Get your mind set that you are coming next year and hopefully by the time we get there, you can put the whole sorry mess behind you, you never know, i might even have the bloody window switch working by then  After this week is over mate i will get onto it, i dont like taking too long on things and out of principle i havent fitted the indiglow sills yet. Talk to you soon with an update. Graham
  23. Glad there were still some of us there to help Chris. It was nice to finally see both the zeds in the flesh after seeing them on the forum. Pleased you got home safely Graham
  24. Hi Craig, if a member has done a deal with another member and it goes pear shaped, then the matter, in general is between the two parties to discuss and deal with the issue, as the club cannot be held responsible, however in this case one member hasnt been available for comment for whatever reason. As a courtesy to enable better trading, we are here to help where we can, in this instance trying to locate said member to aid the resolve of issues for several members. Each incident or problem is different and is dealt with accordingly in the interest of the members. HTH Graham
  25. Cool. Need to pm you about a fibreglass door filler question, but just catching up at the mo
