VERY very happy with the progress so far....
I actually dont think it looks shite and like many, look forward to the finished project. Boot installs are not easy to create in the zed as youve found, but it appears to be working well so far.

Certainly have Alex, but it wasnt a derogatory comment, it was a statement pointing out a possible hazard, nothing wrong with that. When i first saw the project i too wondered about the targas, but im sure Rose will have that covered, just no need for attitude please.

So all your after is glorification? A reasonable comment made regarding the targa's, a simple reply of, "i have thought of that and it will be dealt with if i feel the need arises" would suffice, rather than a bulshy reply, which there was no call for. If it was said, " That looks shite", then fair enough, but expect comments, criticism or praise, if you want to show what youve been doing to the car.

Subscription renewal - problems
You are already showing green, so you were successful in your payment. The initial starter packs are now through ck300z (Chris) but if you have renewed, you wont get another pack, unless any items or the initial pack were never sent/received. Congrats on subscribing and enjoy. Graham

Loan Advice
I had a loan through GE money against my previous house for £20k, after 3 years of paying it every month, i owed over £25k and i thought why did i bother:hammer: at the time i guess i had a use for it, but for an amount of money that lasted a month i would be expected to spend the next 25 years paying off. Long story short, talk to a solicitor, mine was a mis sold loan and had the whole lot wiped off

Timing belt change - no compression cylinder 5 and 6
In the UK the onus is on the garage, in Portugal, only you would know that one mate, might be worth you speaking to other garages in your area for info on how they deal with the situation.

What a test!
I got wet seats as usual, tried everything to stop the leak, might weld the roof up lol

Electrical - Driver Switch Jap / UK Difference
Normally series 3 (LATE 93) onwards had the arrow lit.

Timing belt change - no compression cylinder 5 and 6
most of us can probably give you advice, but as far as using the info for your case, you really need the engine expertise of Jeff or Jimmer. It seems that they have messed up and are looking for a way out and trying to charge you for the privelage. Hope you manage to get it sorted soon to your satisfaction.

Electrical - Driver Switch Jap / UK Difference
yes was a series difference, although not sure whether all or some UK had the illuminated window switch. The 6 pin connector has the 2 additional feeds for the light which is at the bottom right as you look at the switch in situe, the switch will still work as youve found, but obviously wont illuminate without the extra wires. You can add a ground to the outer pin and a live feed off the window amp to the inner one next to it. The light will be on all the time the ignition is on, but you wont really notice it until night time.

Poss water leak from...
Check the rear water hose, more often than not the jubilee clip can get overtightened and cut into the rubber hose. If that seems too obvious then you will be going down the right route of plenum water bypass as it could be any one of those little buggers under there lol
-
diagrams
You will see when you get it off what needs to come off. There isnt alot of room with the plenum on, otherwise you could do the bypass with the plenum on and leave the pipes under the plenum disconnected.
-

You only do the matrix bypass if the matrix is fubarred, so no doubt at all leaving it in line if it works. The bypass is very easy, you dont need any of the water pipes at all on the plenum, but you may still need the vac hard lines that run under it along side the pipes.

common part numbers update
My thoughts exactly, which is why it would be nice to get them updated, so when you have it mate, let me know and i will stick it in the faq section. Excel or word, as long as it can be added too as items get updated. Cheers Graham
