  1. Yes it will fit. Stands are a universal fit to the bellhousing bolt holes on the rear of the engine, i have got the same stand and worked a treat. New they are only £45 so dont go bidding too high on that one lol. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ENGINE-GEARBOX-STAND-350KG-ES350-SEALEY-TOOLS-NEW-/400187160551?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item5d2d0377e7
  2. The tail light sensor is a little black box behind the drivers rear plastic cover in the boot, behind the right hand light cluster.
  3. They are from the pvr, one would have gone to the solenoid and the longer one to the carbon canister. Ditch em
  4. Ive had a text from him today, he is trying to fix his car inbetween working away and its a PC problem i think. I know he can browse the forum from his phone, but as you know he likes to write essays, so doing that on a phone gets frustrating. He is hoping to get on at the weekend
  5. Bloody dictatorship nanny state we have become, the government dont own me, so they can go and shove it. We should be allowed to use our own common sense in how we live our lives. I for one dont give a damn what the government think they can tell me do, if i want to do it i will, i dont smoke around kids or in a restaurant or inside any public building. I work for myself so i dont have to be told by anyone what to do or how to do it, this country is becoming a bigger joke than it already is.. We pay these idiots to run our country not the other way round.
  6. Happy Birthday Daff, hope you have a nice day :happybday:
  7. No one ever said it would be easy lol, glad you managed to pull it out

  9. One of many improvements to come for the members Gary, all good things come to those who wait
  10. I would love my teeth to be whiter, i do smoke, dont drink and sometimes clean my teeth more than twice a day and use cordisyl (sp?) mouthwash, but cant warrant spending thousands at the dentist, when my zed needs new shoes lol
  11. Or this but its not cheap http://www.aquaticsite.co.uk/Blagdon_V8_Pondseal_5_Litre.htm Also here http://www.5playleisure.co.uk/Aquatics_PRODUCTS.html
  12. You might have trouble selling it in the UK if its not registered here, so will create additional cost to the buyer, which will bring your top line down. Or you could advertise it on the continent, but i should imagine being right hand drive, may not be a popular option either. I would look into the cost of registering the car here, then have a think about your next move. Just my opinion of course.
  13. :happybday: Have a great day :happybday:
  14. sorry Gary i just checked mine too, got it arse about face, hope you havent ordered them yet :turned:
  15. Not unless your subscribed your not :lol:
  16. Oh yes forgot about that lol, one nut to undo for the joint and the spline can slide out.
  17. Nice wheels Gary, you will want 245x35x18 for the front to keep the rolling radius the same anda the 40 on the rear as you have. Look forward to seeing the pics when done.
  18. You can take the engine and box out together, but you will need to drop the subframe about 8 inches or so to clear the sump, even then its going to be, up abit, out a bit and so on till your clear to lift it out. There are only 4 bolts holding the subframe so no biggy, far easier than splitting the box and getting it out on your back lol I would drain all oils, especially gearbox oil, you wont lose much out of the rear of the box once the prop is off, but as you get the angle to lift it will pour out. I would label all plugs so you know where they go when you come to refit, makes it alot easier. I would take the strain of the engine on the hoist, remove engine mount bolts, then drop the subframe. remove the rear water pipes, remember thatwhen removing the gearbox mount brace, the engine will tilt back and can crush the pipes, so if you want to keep them, remove them lol. There are a few write ups for engine removal, if you need them let me know.
  19. Less likely to fry than the series one. The upgrade is supposed to eliminate the problems associated with the series one. When i originally replaced mine for a series 2 PTU i placed it in the original location for the first 2 years and have now moved it under the headlight panel, had no issues in either place. What problem are you having? it might not be the PTU but possibly the wiring/plugs, the extra loom is normally at fault.
  20. As Craig said, he is talking about fitting a tailgate tub. Tigerseal or sikaflex for both i would say or glass sealant the guys at autoglass use.
  21. Also the timing marks on the belt will never line up again with the marks on the sprockets, could take several thousand revolutions, so best strip it and start again.
  22. As Jeff said it could still be an injector, although you are hearing the ticking, the noise from the other injectors will be travelling along the same rail, so may sound like its working. Check the injector plug for corrosion and use a multimeter to test the output on the plug itself. Can only be one of these, injector/ injector plug, coil pack/ connector plug, PTU. Also check the harness wires to both inj and coil pk plugs for chafing
  23. I left mine disconnected for a few weeks, while i was doing an engine swap and had/have no issues. One thing i did do, probably wont make a blind bit of difference, but only because i wanted the wire out of the way ,was to stop the contacts on the bonnet pin/switch from touching.
  24. Where did you search?, there is a guide in the faq section http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=117000 http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=117002 In answer to your original question, yes it will fit, but also fit the UK Gearbox ecu as its different to the Jap spec.
