door switches
Only series 2/3 have the arrow only illuminated on the drivers window. Some members may have the switch assembly with the bulb holder under the switch, but unless the door also has the series 2/3 loom it wont light, but can be modded to work

MOT Failed
Certainly is, i hated the thought of not being able to drive it legally, ANPR isnt an issue on the island, but having a car that stands out a mile could be lol, i think most of the coppers know my car, so didnt want to tempt fate for the sake of a few days.

Mums making a mess again
I never fit leds into the forward facing lights, they spoil the look of the effect IMO. I use a couple of 24cm led strips under the speedo and rev counter for a more even light and not hotspots. Looking good so far, will be nice to see it all together in the car.

Jap - Import lights bulbs
You can also buy H3 bulbs and add a ground wire to the side of the reflector housing to the ground of the bulb.

watch out insurance thread
Insurance is really a luck of the draw casino these days lol. Try Dave at Footman James, he is a member on here and will look at the best price for you. I know it all depends on certain factors, but looking at various threads regarding insurance quotes its definitely worth looking at the non advertised mainstream insurers.

Propshaft.
I concur, Jeff's price is a great saving on the hassle of import, duty and price over all. Also you know you are getting one that will fit perfectly, you wont regret going one piece.

MOT Failed
Im aware its not in the data base, but i do remember seeing an emissions wall chart in his garage with the 300zx listed, obviously a fairlady wont be.

MOT Failed
Just saved it, Cheers. I have no O2 sensors, but i guess if they are not there they cant be tested! You say its in the current online testers manual, i take it that this hasnt changes since 2002?

MOT Failed
Cheers Paul, i thought so, although its not going to be an issue for me now, i think i will try and educate him again on the database regarding the zed, but as you know, they wont admit they were wrong lol

MOT Failed
My main issue with him are the emissions really, i thought we had got over that little hurdle a couple of years ago, as i say he either forgot or had to be seen to be doing something. Every time i said its not on the database, he kept saying he needed proof of the age of the car. Its on a K plate, but chassis number and everything else date related points to 1990 and the logbook says 2004. Even if he thought it was a 93 i thought we were safe upto 95.

MOT Failed
I know what you mean, mine is split and has been leaking and i would have thought that would be a fail. Ive got some new polybushes going on, i try to stay clear of rose bushes after my droplink fiasco, but i do have some rear lower arms to put on that do have the rose joints, just got to make sure they are greased up well, unlike my previous experience with the drop links lol
