  2. Mine does as the input shaft is also making a noise like the clutch release bearing noise, except its not the crb as its all new, might buy another box and over haul that so i can still drive the car.
  3. Did it ease once warm? mine is similar, sometimes first gear is a bitch when its really cold lol
  4. Its only been suggested that Rob may be overseas, but very good point none the less  We will always try our best to resolve any issues should they arise :thumbup1:
  5. 9. Mine were from ebay cheap and are still going strong after 2 years, although changed a bulb recently, still for the price you cant go wrong.
  10. Great news, glad it was a simple fix for you
  11. Sounds like a dead battery, check terminals, battery fuse is in the engine bay. If the starter is stuck, rock the car back and forth in 2nd gear to see if that frees it and try and start again.
  12. Probably starter relay, starter, any of the big fuses near the bmc.
  13. Sounds like they are pulling a fast one, good on your sister for not handing over any more money, looks like the owners are trying to get as much out of it until they lose the house to the mortgage company.
  14. Sorry Andy, we are trying our best to get all new traders running asap so that all your needs are met under one roof
  15. Leather for the interior, from gaitors to panels, all custom made and specific for the zed
  16. OOps sorry bud, our next trader to join is from Durham, i must keep up lol
  17. Lol, leisurely pace, so true. Trial and error i like to call it. I tried a headlight panel with 2k primer after flatting the old paint, but it reacted badly and had to sand the lot off again, although i only used sealer on the rear bumper so far to stop reaction, i agree generally the 2k primer is great and adheres really well. I feel i sanded past the old paint rather than flatting, which is why i got the reaction.
  18. Luckily for you he is based in County Durham.
  19. Etch primer for bare metal and If the old paint is still visible and you are going to use any 2k paint i would spray a sealer coat to avoid any reaction or etch primer the whole bay as it is 2k compatible, then as Pete suggested 2k high build primer will give you a rally good surface for base coat.

  21. Hi Si send me an email groover@300zx.co.uk
  22. Good link Al, im after a couple of new carpets
  23. Get the timing set to TDC, all marks on cam and crank aligned, unlikely to get the marks on the old belt aligned lol, then using an m6 bolt on the tensioner as in the write up, release the tension from the belt, remove old belt, now you will get very little movement from the cams as they are in between rotation so to speak, any movement will be a few mill anti clockwise on the driver side cams, which you can rectify with some stilsons to move back into place as you mount the belt over each one. Read and re read the write up till its clear in your head, i read it a fair few times with my first belt and checked and double checked once it was on to make sure it was spot on.
  24. There are many insurance threads on here, but your age is the downfall in price with any company i would imagine, for classic cover you need to be 25. And there is no such thing as cheap insurance lol, its all a rip off. Footman James, Lynbrook to name a couple.
