  1. There's got to be an element of driver skill there. Besides, I'd have them in me Hillman Imp.
  2. JDM may have one less oil cooler so capacity might be slightly different.?
  3. I'm thinking about buying too (possibly also north cambs!). rightmove.co.uk is about the best I can find. Just think what is was like afew years ago with no web sites and just stupid, indifferent, dishonest estate agents to help.
  4. Had 9. They all went and it was clean. Just got another 3 from one of those Traffic Safety Camera Vans. On the A1, dual carriage way, cones along the side of the road for roadworks (that weren't there), 40mph limit, I got done at 54mph. Fukkers! I was tempted to go back and take all his photos of him - well, they're not coppers in those vans, just old do-gooders.
  5. Can't you just put some old 5p coins in the wastegate and that's just as good as a boost controller? That's what I heard anyway. ;)
  6. The big boys are in the butchers ;)
  7. 50 odd trades, no problems ... so far!
  8. Take photos of him, his car and the damage. Refuse to speak to him.

Pass received today - cheers Rich!
  10. I'm going for sure at least one day. If everything pans out ok, I might camp over too.
  11. Wow - looks like it was a great day. Sorry I missed it - the hole in my back is still an inch deep :x: so it wasn't going to happen. I'm still curious to see everyone's times / speeds - I guess all will be clear when the mag comes out. :hyper: Oh well, hope to see some of you at Santa Pod next weekend or JAE. And  to Slick Pete - a genuine TT beating NA!
  12. This is what JD posted originally: Im no chippy either, thats why I had the timber merchant cut everything to size (the £33 for all the wood included cutting every piece to exact length. For each ramp you will need: (2" thick x 9" wide boards) 1 piece 60" long 1 piece 51" long 1 piece 42" long 1 piece 33" long 1 piece 24" long I used rough sawn lumber (planed would be nice but much more expensive) I nailed and glued them together. Some boards will be a bit warped probably, but dont worry, these ramps are sturdy as hell, even safer than jacks and axle stands, and much quicker. But, they are heavy......each weighing about 80 lbs. Regards John The place I went to only had 8 inch timber, not nine. I used that and they seem fine. Well recommended.
  13. Good to hear it's back and running! Top stuff mate.
  14. I'm not bothered by spelling / punctuation as long as the meaning is clear. Each to their own though. ;)
  15. Mine did just that and it knackered the tray. I got a used reaplcement in good condition and fitted it. They are ok without but it's better to have one - something to do with air flow I think or something. AndyZ may have a good one if you want one.

Ouch! Sounds like a Laural and hardy film :nelson: :rolf:
  17. lol Good work mate. Must be satisfying to have sorted it yourself.

A mate does this. I think he uses 50 : 50 at the moment. Tesco Value three litre bottles of cooking oil are about £1.30 each. That's the best price on any cooking oil. Just tip it in. With the pipe heaters you can run a much higher mix. And of course anyone doing this must declare it and pay duty!!!!
  19. 15 years wear plus they had professional drivers. I know we all think we're a bit handy but a proper race driver will launch much faster than most of us.
  20. Nice one - gave them what they deserved - good on you.
  21. I have an NA and love it. I've had it for over two years. They're quick but if you want something really fast with potential to tune it quite easily, a TT will be better. The NA has a nicer power delivery and less likely to go wrong though. Try and drive them and see what you like.
  22. Got mine today. What a great pack - loads of effort has gone into it clearly. A big 'thank you' to all involved.
  23. I like the UK. I don't think things are any better any where else. Maybe sometimes they seem it but they all have the same problems as us or worse. Txes, corruption, uncontrolled immigration. I'm staying put in the UK cos I like it here. Yes it's not perfect, partly due to the people who run the country and partly due to the way we select them. But I still think it's about as good as it gets. I'm not convinced New Zealand, Australia, Spain or America are any better. And as for The Congo, Indonesia, India or places like that, well no way would I want to live there unless I was really wealthy.
  24. Ohhh... argauably the most desirable spec you can get. Nice! Was it from AndyZ?
