Was drivin about yesterday when i heard a bangin noise from the front, stopped and had a little look,and guess what the under tray had been catchin on the floor. Theres not a lot left now, was wondering if anyone else has had this happen !!! :confused: :confused:

Mine did just that and it knackered the tray.

 

I got a used reaplcement in good condition and fitted it.

 

They are ok without but it's better to have one - something to do with air flow I think or something.

Happened to me a while back.

 

It felt like cardboard the material was so rotten- my theory is that it degrades with time, and with spilt fluids which inevitably pool on it, it just sags and if it doesn't catch on something first will eventually fall apart.

 

I'm riding without at the moment. Personally I'd think it's less about air-flow (but will gladly be proven wrong!) and more about deflecting road debris away from the engine.
