  1. This sounds like a good idea. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7176032.stm The long term unemployed would be forced to work for their benefits under plans outlined by the Conservatives. People claiming Jobseekers' Allowance for more than two years would have to do 12 months community work. Tory leader David Cameron said he wanted to help people into work and end the "something for nothing culture". PM Gordon Brown said the government was already getting tough with the long-term jobless and the Tory plans were out of date and would not work. Under the Conservative proposals, the two-year limit on job seekers' allowance would apply to "continuous and cumulative periods of unemployment". The party says it wants to stop people claiming for years at a time, by signing off for short periods or taking a job for a short period, then going back on benefits. The long-term unemployed would have to take part in a 12-month programme involving "valuable improvement and amenity work in the areas where they live". The jobless would also have to spend most of the working week at "back to work centres", run by independent groups, where they would receive training and guidance to help find a job. All job seekers would be screened as soon as they start claiming - those with a "track record" of claiming benefits would be referred to the centres straight away. Others would be given a "grace period" to find a job. .....
  2. Didn't the VR4 have problems with the 4wd system braking or something? Nice car though.
  3. What happens if your car's on 18s and you get a puncture and have to fit that space saving spare? Surely it's smaller (diameter) than the other wheels. Does this cause a problem?
  4.
  5. Tell them about when you did something really difficult. I think that's what they're asking for in a needlessly wordy way.
  6. The 99 car has lots of subtle differences. Stiffer chassis Improved brakes (?bigger master cylinder) Later interior including inserts, centre console, white dials etc Different lights front and rear and rear centre pannel. Different front bumper Factory mirror tinted rear glass Rain repellant glass Red front Z badge Other things too which aren't doccumented I think like the auto dimming cabin light, light up window buttons etc I bought mine four years ago and it hasn't had a single problem in all that time and 30,000 miles (that's cursed it!). It's an NA so I'd maybe like a 1999/2000 TT or version-r.
  7. Apexi always seem to get good reports. I've had one for two years and it seems good.
  8. :) Could well be interested at that price.
  9. If you could get a tidy 1999 TT 300ZX on the road in the UK for £7.5K I would be very interested. If a low mile 1996 one goes for £10.5-£11K otr in the uk is that likely though?
  10. Lol - just cracking on, like, just cracking on. It's good Mark. Very evocative. And going to the States to get an award is most impressive. Nice one.
  11. The RX7 is small. It never looks good for a man in his 30s to drive fast in a small car IMHO.
  12. OOhhhh... I'd certainly like to have it off with her.
  13. I'd bash her back door in. ;)
  14. I had a set of those wheels - paid less than £400 used with tyres. They've put a lot of work into the car but it's a bit in-your-face.
  15. Wait till the last 45 seconds then bit the maximum you'd pay. Bid earlier and they can use a second account to increase your bid in small increments then retract the last one when they actually outbid you.
  16. Cool Has the date / venue been decided yet? (I'm to lazy to look through all those pages!) I'll have to come along and show you all how to drink. :duffer: ;)
  17. Don't get me wrong - it's still a great club. I just remember the events Chunk used to organise and thought they were really good. It all went a bit Pete Tong when he got banned - yes I know there were valid reasons and all that. It's been a while since I've been to a club event to be honest. Maybe I should give the car a clean up and go to one. Is that big one Andy Duff was planning still happening?
  18. The national events are not as good as they used to be IMHO. And the club has £15,000 or so in the bank anyway. Does it really need a tenner or whatever from me?
  19. I rode there on my bike this year. The women were ok but the best were in Czech Republic and Slovakia. There's no shortage of flash young lads in new 7-series BMs and trick as fook Audis in the big cities either so the totty's not as easy to harvest as you might hope.
  20. Newby
