3 years disgusting
While I'd be the first to criticise the government I think our justice system's pretty good. I think you'd struggle to find a better one anywhere in the world. The punishment fits the crime, not the consequences. I imagine the sentence is for dangerous driving or similar not multiple murder / manslaughter. I'd be amazed if the defendent's nationality was an issue at all. But I don't know all the facts so I could be wrong.

And what's happened that's made you change? I hope everything's ok with you.

Don't do anything hasty. Leave it a while. You may change your mind. You've put so much work inot getting that car just right. And if you do decide to sell I'd be very interested in the car! :D

To be fair I don't think the fact he's foreign should come into it.

Mg sv
I thought they'd be cheap as chips now but looking on Pistonheads they're still £40K plus. I'd love one but that's waaaaay too much IMHO. I thought they'd be £10K cars by now what with Rover failing and the 'CC' and all.

Wear on inside of front tyres...?
I've got some low mile KYB shocks with slightly lower than stock springs. I guess if I get them fitted the camber will still be out so I'll need a camber correction kit or adjusable top arms? Any idea how much either costs to buy / fit?

SMW1's top gear challenge
Earlier this year I rode all the way down to Albania on a motorbike which is very nearby. I wanted to go to Macedonia but ran out of time. Are you going through Serbia or down the Croatian coast or another route? We couldn't get insurance for Serbia (as the US embassy in Kosovo had just been attacked then) when we went. The roads in Serbia looked much faster though. Once the motorway runs out in Croatia it was very slow going IIRC.

Wear on inside of front tyres...?
Might it just need tracking or could it be camber? It's a 65,000 mile car on original suspension and after market 18" wheels.

Melting LED sidelight bulbs
My LED sidelight bulbs started flickering. I checked them out and both bulbs have melted a bit. Looks like they've got hot - part of the plastic housing has gone brown and softened and warped. I think they've been in the car for about 18 months. They were not cheap and from a good supplier. If you have 6000K HIDs you need them of they look very yellow compared to the headlights. I've got the old bulbs back in as a temporary fix and new LED bulbs on order. Hopefuly they'll be better - LED technology seems to have come a long way recently. I'm glad I've taken the melted ones out - if they'd got worse maybe they could have caused problems. I'll post a pic of them.

FunkySi your next car mate !
The doors are kind of cool IMO. That rear spoiler is just nasty though. Worst ever.

Jaguar XK8
If I had the money I'd be tempted by a Merc CL500. The XK8 never looked quite right IMHO. Or an NSX...

Anybody got an R6?
That one's a demo but there's loads of places doing pre-reg brand new ones for around that money.

Anybody got an R6?
There's places doing new ones for £6500 http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/bikes/YAMAHA+YZF-R6/Ne-2-4-7-8-27-64-104-133-146-236,N-239-4294967247-4294967248/advert.action?R=200832316176365&distance=52&postcode=pe7+8ba&channel=BIKES&make=YAMAHA&model=YZF-R6&min_pr=&max_pr=&max_mileage= I had three but they were the old (pre 2005 models). The latest one is good but I find it too uncomfy and revvy for road riding. Awesome track bike and they look sweet.

Its alive !!
Long time coming. Good work though.

saying hi
And there's some other stuff which should be done at the same time obviously as it's the BIG service. And other stuff it's considered wise to do that's not on the schedule - water pump or something etc etc

saying hi
Cambelt change is every 5 years / 60,000 miles, whichever is sooner according to the Nissan schedule.

1999 imports?
Fook knows what mine's worth. It is the LWB, auto, NA, targa, cloth interior - the least desirable of all! Ah yes, taking over the forum. It shall be ours. Keep it schtum though. :D
-
1999 imports?
Cheers mate! Maybe that means they're becoming collectable and it'll push up values over here? I'm not holding my breath for it though. I spoke to a guy who imports JDM motorbikes and certain domestic models from the tail end of the Japanese economic boom and its manufacturing tail end (mid to late 90s) have doubled / tripled in value (Uk prices) in the last 1-2years.
-
1999 imports?
Are we within six months of being able to get 99 cars bought in? If so, who's doing the imports here at the moment? Any idea how much for a nice, standard LWB TT?
