  1. You should NEVER hit a child. It's too obvious and leaves marks. 'Nip' then on the inside of the upper arm. It's very painful for them, discrete in public and doesn't make bruises. ;)
  2. Go to a decent jewellers and they will explain about diamonds - cut, clarity and flaws. Probably Wikipedia would too, to be honest. I'm no expert but I think Tiffanys is just chav aspirational - a good independent jeweller would be better IMHO and better value for money. When I popped the question I went for platinum band, single princess cut diamond in a pretty good colour / minor flaws only. (actually I used a plastic ring and let her chose her own afterwards - there are size issues as well as style). They say one month's salary is the right amount! Many jewellers will take an offer on the asking price - I got about 10% off engagement and wedding rings just for asking (bought separately). Good luck with it all.
  3. Got them today - cheers!
  4. RAC windscreens took five months to get mine in but I think they forgot to order it for the first four or so. The 'tards!
  5. Probably best if I do the jokes round here lads. :p
  6. Just found theat letter/cheque for you in my coat pocket. Oops sorry! Have put it in the post just now. Cheers.
  7. Hey mate. That is one gorgeous looking car but I have to agree with Si - the wheels don't suit it. Busy car and busy wheels. I think it'd look awesone on simpler wheels. I've sold one set of aftermarket wheels and bought another for the same money before. That said, if you like them, that's all that matters bud!
  8. That's one hell of a (tax free!) bonus. Nice one mate. You must be chuffed to bits. :D :D :D
  9. All sorted - many thanks Mark. Could someone delete this thread if possible please? Cheers
  10. Hey mate I wanted the NA spark plugs you're advertising but I can't PM you as I'm not a paid up member any more. Can you contact me at fazer600tim [at] yahoo.com ? Cheers!
  11. Matt put some time and money into that car. One of the nicest about IMHO.
  12. Looks very much like my housing association flat before the wife got her claws stuck into me.
  13. Always love the car. Plus they / a friend / relation has always owned one too that made massive power (allegedly). I wonder why that is?
  14. I thought the hanldling of my car was going off. It seemed less stable at high speed. I guessed the suspension might be a bit tired. I bought a set of lightly used shocks and springs - adjustable KYB with eibach, 20mm drop I think from Andy Z (Auper Car Parts). He said they've only done 2000 miles. Then I found my car had a slow puncture so that's why it felt unstable. Puncture fixed and the car feels fine now. So - do I get the shocks fitted anyway (I guess this cost about one to two hundred quid in labour plus a camber correction kit?) or sell them on?
  15. Nope, never heard of him. :D
  16. You can probably tell Mrogers roughly where the car is then maybe.
  17. I don't know. If you're interested you'd have to go on that site and follow it up yourself.
  18. No. I'm 36DDKawasakiBabe on there.
  19. Another one too! Ok, calm down. Mrs Pygmy had been driving this up to 2 years ago and its been standing outside my (soon to be beautified) garage ever since. The ignition unit gave up on it and I've never bothered doing anything with it. She's now got another car and I've got a lack of spare time so I just want shot of it. So, it'll need an ignition unit, brakes unseizing and new fluids. Once you've got it running, there was an intermitent problem changing down from 3rd to 2nd (going up the box was fine). Its a straight V reg, Blue (non metallic) 40k miles on it, we are the 2nd owners (had it since 2001/2). So, before I get the local breakers to remove it, if anyone wants a little project with an opportunity to make a few quid, let me know Do it up and flog it. Do it up and use it Break it and flog off the bits on ebay. Go on. I'm in Wilts, 20 min south of jct 16 M4 http://www.therevcounter.com/showthread.php?t=2124
  20. Free car to collect: Nissan QX -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yep, 1 dark green, 1995 Nissan QX Maxima available to whomever wants to collect it. Manual 2.0 litre V6 saloon. 160,000 miles (ish), Good condition, but has a couple of issues that someone who knows/cares more than me about cars will most likely be able to fix quickly: I think the alternator belt is slipping - when hot the car seems to lose some electrical abilities (since it's fully loaded with electric everything this is more noticable than it would otherwise be). Also the boot gets rather damp in wet weather - not sure why. Brake pads replaced relatively recently. Tyres in reasonable nick Tax/MOT until end Feb. Blaupunkt stereo with removable facia. Central Locking Electrical everything AC (needs gas). Please PM (or if you already know my number, call me) to arrange collection if you're interested. We don't want it any longer as we've just acquired an auto SAAB which is better for Mitzi's back. See here if you're interested http://www.therevcounter.com/showthread.php?t=3181
  21. Sorry - don't get on here much these days. Martyn did a good job on my car before - is he still doing the 300s?
