  1. I fancied one of those but the running costs could be obscene. See how they say the last service cost £4000...
  2. Looks tidy that does. Unbelievably fast down a twist road too, I should imagine.
  3. Nice! That would crucify my Honda 1300 motorbike. I went in a 600bhp Supra recently - that was pretty impressive. I'd consider a Skyline for the geek-chic.... know what I mean?
  4. I think they look great - used ones are going for £30K more than new list price too. At £60K it makes the NSX look like an overpriced antique.
  5. Amazing when you think about it really. And I'm surprised Don Dixon didn't airbrush some elves smoking bongs in there too!
  6. Interesting to see the site with a password to get in too - nice one Vini.
  7. It'll be one of the secondary belts probably. Most likely the alternator belt. If you get under the car and take the splash guard off it's a 2 spanner, 5 minute job to tighten it up a bit.
  8. I can sort you out with a Dremel and some wood glue with iron filings in for £20. ;)
  9. That is going to look sweet - love the paint scheme. Really tidy fizzys make about £2K these days! I'm a bit too young (33) - I had an AR50.
  10. I replaced my drivers side headlight a while ago. It's MOT day today. I think the light I replaced is pointing a little low - any idea how to adjust it so the beam is a little higher on that side? Cheers folks :nana2:
  11. Look at his feedback - he's only selling cars and he's got quite a lot of negatives.
  12. Sunny here today. I went out on my bike.
  13. A letter to god -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was a man who worked for the Post Office whose job was to process all the mail that had illegible addresses. One day, a letter came addressed in a shaky handwriting to God with no actual address. He thought he should open it to see what it was about. The letter read: Dear God, I am an 93 year old widow, living on a very small pension. Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had £100 in it, which was all the money I had until my next pension cheque. Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited my only living friend over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with, have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can you please help me? Sincerely, Edna The postal worker was touched. He showed the letter to all the other workers.. Each one dug into his or her wallet and came up with a few quid. By the time he made the rounds, he had collected £95, which they put into an envelope and sent to the woman. The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of Edna and the dinner she would be able to share with her friends. Christmas came and went. A few days later, another letter came from the same old lady to God. All the workers gathered around while the letter was opened. It read: Dear God, How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me? Because of your gift of love, I was able to fix a glorious dinner for my friend. We had a very nice day and I told my friend of your wonderful gift. By the way, there was £5 missing. I think it was those twats at the Post Office. Edna
  14. That is completely awesome.
  15. Allegedly the screen came from Nissan in Japan - it looks the same as the original.
  16. I think mine's ended too - I can't vote on polls or see the private forums.
  17. I asked the wife - she's a web developer and on maternity leave so an ideal chance to moonlight. She hasn't mentioned it - I think she likes sitting on her arse too much!
  18. What a waste of money educating people like that. It isn't a race issue - it's a religious issue which is something they choose. Ultimately they're being very stupid, backward and primitave.
  19. My windscreen got a chip and needed replacing. RAC Auto windscreen did it and my insuance paid (shouldn't affect my NCB or premium etc). I paid £60 exces but apparently it would have cost over £1000 if I was picking up the whole bill myself. Almost makes the four years of comprehensive cover I've paid for since I got the car worth while!
  20. My neighbour had one but it was 2001 I think. Lovely car but a turbo went and cost £2K,
  21. Just so you know, I'm the daddy round here. If you want snout, porn, batteries or phone cards, you come to me. Alright?
  22. They're fast but they're also quick steering and bordering on unstable (as most full-on sports bikes are). Brakes are very sharp too and can catch you out in the wet at first. You'd probably be ok if you were careful at first. I had two R6s. And two R1s. (I write for motorbike mags for a living: Superbike, MCN, Bike, RiDE, TWO etc). I find R6s a bit uncomfy / impractical to be honest. I'm not saying don't get one, just consider all the options and remember sports bikes are much more uncompromising than sports cars.
