I speak to a guy who runs one of the biggest vehicle insurance accident repair shops in the UK. He reckons the east European panel beaters put a lot of the British ones to shame. Says they're used to re-using parts we'd just replace in this country. No disrespect to any UK panel beaters - he might well be talking out of his arse.

Just bought some at 301p each. The people I used to buy say I won't get the certificate for 2-4 weeks so can't sell until then. That sounds pretty crap but I started looking at other accounts on line and just got bored. Maybe I'll lose the lot - who knows - faint heart n'er won fair maid!

I do it on the phone with a company called Pershing Securities (based in Liverpool I think! eh eh eh!). If it's your first trade they'll have to take lots of details from you first over the phone. After that you just call them whenever you want to buy / sell. There's always a charge - never less than £20 in my experience and I think it was about £50 once when I sold a few grands worth once. I'm no expert on any of it though. If anyone wants the number of Pershing, PM me. There's places on line that do it too.
