Wake up and smell the coffee guys, dont mean to be rude but when you have experienced what I have, which I know is rare but not unheard of, 9K for an almost minter is a bargain!!! If its as good as you say it is then buy it!!! Save yourself time and hassle!

I think I can shed some light ajay as I am due to get my car back either tuesday or wednesday after a 4month long nightmare!!!:confused: :confused: My advice is to buy the turbos from either the garage who are going to fit them or from someone like Smithy, who supplied my new turbos via turbo technics, that way, if anything goes wrong, then you always have someone to fall back on. In my case, two new turbos fitted (which is my advice to you if you can afford it, as its the labour that costs the money to fit, the 3009zx is the worst turbo car to work on apparently), and then one failed and I had Smithy to fall back on for help, if he wasnt involved, or I had bought the turbos from America, then it would have been a nightmare, what with timescales etc etc....... All in all, take advice off the people off this board, they've been there and know how much of a nightmare things can be if they dont go to plan..... Hope this helps....:)

Personally, I give my turbos (when their not in the garage) at least 1 minute minimum, and anywhere up to 5mins for hard as f*ck drivin'....

Guys, As a few of you are aware I have had nothing but problems with the 300ZX since day 1, and now it would seem that fate has taken another turn int hat I have now split from the missus and as a result, the 300ZX seems unaffordable on my own. Now, I have had the car about 4months, spent £5k buying the car and have since spent another £6K on mods and repairs to the car, standing me at £11K. I realise that I will never get £11K for the car, but I was wondering what you guys thought that a reasonable price would be?? I know that you can pick up a car for about £5K, TT spec and with maybe little history about it, but with mine I know what has been done in the 4 months since I have had it. I was thinking about the £7K range as the new owner will know that thousands have been spent already. Do you guys think that this is reasonable???:confused: Or am I asking too much? The wheels alone cost £2000??? :)

Guys, seems I've started off quite a topic here....... To be honest with y'all, I dont know what to say apart from when I drive the zed I feel on top of the world. Only problem is, I dont drive it much.....I have now done 1300mile in it in total and spent over £5K in repairs and £1K in mods, would have been lovely to have it the other way round.:p Its a great car, its a cool car, and Jeff TT came with me to inspect it. I know you all have different views about him but I still think he did a really good job that day and the problems that have gone wrong are down to general wear and tear on the car because of its age.......somethings gonna go eventually I guess...... Timmy: I dont wanna sell the car now, especially with all the work its had done........but how much longer is this going to go on??? All these repairs I mean???? Like Chris has stipulated, I wanted this as an everyday car, I have now had to humiliate myself by driving an XR2 (could be worse I know) in my shirt and tie every morning! Oh my god, so I am not alone in this nightmare world?!?!?!?!?! Well, spoken to Nana @ Option and he has advised that they have my car and that they will try and look this week, I hope its sooner. BTW, drove th ecar there this mornign and it now has no boost pressure, runs @ 0 and runs like a bag of shite, loads and loads of smoke??? Can the seals really go that bad?!?!?!?!?!?! REALLY????? Lets say it is the turbos then, by the time they take them off, send them back for testing, and then send me some new ones and then have them fitted, its gonna be at least another month I think till I get the car back??? You know what this car is.......a f*****g joke............nothing but.......and I am THIS CLOSE to selling when sorted as I cant be doing with all this!!! I just want a damn fine looking, fast as f*ck car that doesnt break down every week!!!!!! Is that too much to ask for in this day and age?????

Right guys, started the car up and yup still smokes, not that I thought leaving it on the drive for a day would sort it, but stranger things have happened!!!:p :p So, took oil filler cap off so crankcase pressure was as good as zero and still smoked like a b*stard so I take it that cancells out the PCV whatsits???? Or doesnt it???:confused: Can't bloody wait to find out what it is!

Well the court thing is the last thing on my mind, I will turn the car over without the oil filler cap on and see if it still smokes, then let you guys know! The cars going to Option again tomorrow! PS. Drove the festa today, god how can people cope with that kind of car as their first car???? HOW?:confused: If thats all you can afford then fair enough..........:(

What are PCV valves guys, and how do I find AND check them??? Heard about them, but never needed to know......:confused:

:) Right guys, I have spoken to Smithy and as suspected he has come up with good news.... I paid smithy cash straight into his bank as this was the quickest way.......so no credit card business I am afraid, but, smithy advises that if the oil seals have gone inside the turbos (both of them have gone and I should have more chance of winning the lottery than thi shappening), if it is the seals then he says the turbo firm will have to pay up for the replacement costs (((((MUSIC TO MY EARS))))))) But, he also thinks, and is 100% sure that the seals havent gone as these turbos have some special type of seals which are bulletproof, so what the heck is it?!?!?! Hopefully, something that isnt going to cost me too much more money....... I will let you all know what it is!!!!!!!! Could be the seals, we'll see!!!!! Gotta drive the XR2 tomorrow though:( gonna get laughed at!!!!!:p Anyway, I am in a much better mood and thanks for all your compassion guys, big respect to y'all!!!!!!!;) PS. Missus thinks I should sell up?? Is she right??? I love the 300 though!!!!!:confused:

51x: If that is what it is I will never complain about my 300zx again......I promise!!!!! I should be so lucky though hey????? Guess it'd be worth finding out though! Option will have the car tuesday and the guy who works on mine has my every confidence, so I am sure they'll figure out what the issue is.

Vijay: Yeah smithy does seem like a decent bloke and he has a good reputation so I hope we can sort this problem out with Option involved, just waiting to hear from him......I am just gutted mate as I just got back into the groove of driving the 300zx and now its off the road again as it now smokes all the time!! SRRAE: yeah, legal action is a last ditch effort mate, really cant be arsed with all that but Option will charge me another £1500 to refit and I havent got it mate!!! Not right now......:( Went to see Option today and spoke to the guy who fitted the turbos, he wasnt too pleased as he has seen this too many times before.......I've gotta drop the car off tue morning to them and their dropping the downpipes

Hi Vijay, Smithy @ cybercraft supplied them but I dont know where he got them from??? I am just worried mate as in total, the last bill was almost £4000 and I cannot, absolutely cannot afford to have them replaced again...... option reckon they have seen this many time, its sad, very sad and shouldnt happen but I have left smithy a txt message to call me so we can sort this out. I am not blaming him but if the firm that supplied them are not prepared to pay up to have them refitted, then I might have to seek court action as I dont have any other option!??????? Has anyone else had any experiences like this???:(

Well well, what a surprise, my current run of bad luck is continuing with the nissan.... Those of you that know me, know that I havent had any luck with it since day 1 and its cost me 000's so far. Well, Option have fitted the new turbos but they now smoke like a bast*rd, both of them!!!!! They are having the car on tuesday to inspect whts gone wrong!!!!!!! Now, the turbos must have been faulty as the car has been running at 0.6psi as I wanted to run the car in, so I havent over stressed them, I've only done 600miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Problem is, whos gonna pay for them to be changed??? I dont have another £1500!!!!! F*CK!!!!! Sorry, I am just in a really bad mood..........:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Guys, As some of you know the car had been off the road for a fair few months. Well option came to the rescue after £4000....... They now advise that I get all the injector plugs renewed and the wiring traced back to check for cracks etc but its gonna cost about £450 all in. Now, the plugs only cost £6 each but I really cant afford another £500 at the moment, I aint rich and I dont pertend to be but if they say it needs doing then I guess it wise!!! They way that he showed me it need doing was to move one of the injectors very slightly with his finger and the the car started missing, touch wood! its been fine since but I really would like to get these done just in case!!!! Does anyone know anywhere cheaper that I could get them done or could I give them a go???? Anyone tried????:confused: :confused:
