  3. Hi Stuart, Yeah any help with building the box would be cool, I diddnt think it'd be that difficult.....just wondered if anyone had any ready made for a nominal fee..... Anyway, my mesenger is rs2000turbo@yahoo.com ...... Look forward to speaking to you soon. Cheers, Mark. PS. Bought some 6x4's JBL's £50 from Halford and they are pretty cool, sounds ok but I do have some 6x9's that I am contemplating fitting in the front, FNH though?!?!!?!? I have a 10" infinity sub redy for a box.....:D
  4. Thanks guys. Well, I think I will go for these direct replacement jobbies. I am going to Halford's at dinner to see what they can do for me. The front speakers I believe are still standard, are these 6x9's??? If so can I upgrade them very easily???? To be honest, they dont sound too bad in the front but then maybe thats cus the back sounds so crap!!!! lmao I will be going for a sub but I will need a custom box building, does anyone know anyone who can do this for me??? Thanks for all your help so far guys, makes my life so much easier...........greatley appreciated.....
  5.  Right guys, you have all confused the hell out of me as now I dont know what to do for the best!!!! I have to get this sorted by friday, urgent so come on, do I go to Halfords and get direct replacements????? Or do I try and fit 6x9's!!!!!!! Or I could buy some direct replacements for now and then sort 6x9's later?!? Does that sound feasible?
  6. Thanks for all the advice guys, will visit halfords and see what they can do for me!
  7. Guys, car is now finally running sweet as a nut thanks to Option Motorsport and £4000!!! Anyway, my rear speakers flap more time per second than a hummingbird, I need to replace them but there an oval shape??? Does anyone know where I cna get my hands on a set of these speakers? Or where I can get some replacement ones??? TA.;)

  9. Well, option begin work on my 300zx tomorrow, two new stage 2 turbos and a nwe rad, oh and a slimline apexi boost gauge! Cant WAIT to get it back, god I miss it, the little XR2 I have been poodling around in though has done me proud!!! So fingers crossed, it'll be ready for Japfest!!! ANyone else going?:)

Has got to be red, true sports car colour!;)
  11. Like the previous guy said, the MPG should be better when you get it running properly! I have the same problem with my XR2 at the moment! Guzzles fuel, 180miles to £34 and its the lean type carb, I have had it tuned but it doesnt go right and the ford guy I know cant figure out what it is!!!! Does my head in!!! Thing is, diagnosis on the Zed is a much more expensive tale comparted to a shitty runabout XR2! Still, I have a stalling problem on my Zed, when its cold, sometimes it just wont idle, but when its warm its fine, and then it'll only do it sometimes!!!!! Bugger I know!!!!
  12. Whats wrong with it at the moment? I know what its like for it to not be running properly trust me! I will HOPEFULLY be getting mine back next friday just in time for the Japfest. Option Motorsport at Silverstone have it at present and are fitting a new rad, boost gauge and two new stage 2 turbos. Costing nearly £3000! BIG BUCKS!!!!:(
  13. Well best of luck for tomorrow! I know what its like on your first day, always takes a few months to settle in properly!!!! Hope it all works out.....
  14. Hi Paul, Is it worth it? I mean should I give it to a specialist? Or do you think the average DIY man could do it? And what do you mean untraceable after its removed? Sorry if I'm being thick?:D
  15. Guys, I have to remove a Clifford concept 300 from my Pug 205gti today as the car is going tomorrow and the lady is going to trackday it so she isnt bothered about the alarm, its £300's worht though and I like to fit it to me fiesta! Are these things really hard to take out? Any help or numbers to contact would be appreciated!:D
  16. Well done Eric, I was out of work for a few months around xmas, although I was working freelance demanding anything up to £50 per hour! But, that soon dried out and now I work for Travis Perkins. Money isnt the best in the world but the work on the side doubles my salary.......:D Hence I can afford over £5,000's +worth of Zed bills after driving only 700miles in it after 3 months!!! :D Who are you working for?
  17. My mate at works got a MR2 turbo so I think I might challenge him when I get it back!;) I'll let you all know how I get on!
  18. Dont know whether this question has been asked before, but, HOW THE F**K DO YOU AFFORD A ZED AT UNI?????    I earn damn good money but it drains all mine!!!! Mind you, £5,000+ in 3 months of ownership is not normal I guess!!! And thats just mainly on repairs!!!:(
  19. For the sake of peace I think I'll keep my plate standard.......;)
  20. :D Nice one mate looks well cool.:D
  21.    £1700:eek:    Jeez, I was planning on getting my interior sorted till I realised how much its gonna cost!!!!
  22. So the prices all round then are just about the same. So £300 is good, I need mine today though!!!!:(
  23. Guys, I am in the need for a new rad after Option took me old one off and said that one of the inlets on the rad (plastic bit that the rubber hose sits on) has broken so theres no point re-coring it. So, I went to this site and found an all ally rad: http://www.radiators.com/price.cfm?carengine=3.0L%2C+181ci%2C+V-6&transmission=Automatic&carmake=NISSAN&carmodel=300+ZX&caryear=1990&lookupid=463123 Now, it'll cost £300 including shipping, is this good or can I find one cheaper? Or do I settle for a standard one as the ally one is a waste of money? Thanks in advance for your advice!!;)
  24. Rod, yeah I had to be realistic about the price. They are charging a minimum of £1200 inc VAT but could be £1500inc VAT if things dont go to plan, and they dont normally on my ZED!!!!! I havce chosen them for two reasons: 1) Never heard onbe bad word about their work, and if KIKI's option 200sx S13 is anything to go by then I cant wait to get my car back! 2) They are 7 miles down the road! So any probs and it doesnt have to go far!!! I will keep you all posted with developments! Me little XR2 is going to have its sump gasket replaced and stalling problem fixed today, have done the sump gasket 4 times and it still leaks even with a new sump!!! Bugger hey!!!!! I have been to their drift days, its normally the first monday of every month so I hear.
  25. Finally after nearly a month sat on my drive, the car has gone to Option Motorsport, silverstone to have the new turbos fitted supplied by Smithy and to have the rad re-cored. They hopefully start work thursday and all should be completed by the weekend if everything goes well, so judging by my luck, I will see the car the weekend after!!!!!:D
