Right, got some pics, give us ur mail address and I'll send them through...... to the white sheefed connector there is a red/black and green/black wire. btw, I have just swopped them over and took it for a rag and its even slower!!!!!!:( (6psi or under) and then I stopped, swopped them back over and it went back up to 7psi+, WTF is going on please help!!!!:confused:

One down from the M3, 328is....176bhp. I think she paid 12500 for it, so she'll probably sell for 11ish I guess! Only had it 6 months, but she loves the power of the zed!:D

Yeah runs fine, although there is a weird sound coming from the gearbox side after some rag???? Not sure whether I am 100% happy with this job yet??? But if it goes on that then I'll take it back!!! On the running side, runs like I guess a srtandard 300ZX but its missing a bit!!! Like When its running full boost normally I can get the back end to step right out even on a dry day as theres too much power. Today, I had to do it going through some traffic light and turning a bend, as thats the only time I can get her arse out (excuse the phrase!)...... Sorry, I just love getting me arse out.....:D But I want my boost back, the car seems normal now, nothing special.......:(

Hi, Just got back from job interview!!!! Took the 300ZX and touch wood the starting problem seems to be vanashing although I am sure that near the start I can smell petrol???? Any ideas? Anyway, back to the no real decent power problem, I called Jeff this morning and spoke to him about it and he advised that they have plugged the sensors in the wornt connectors at the back of the middle of the engine. Make sense? I checked these and the wires that jeff told me diddnt correspond with mine, so I thought thats got to be the problem. But, when I put the phone down and tried to change them over, one of them wont reach the female, so they must eb the right way round??:confused: WTF!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek:

no no, this is ever since i got i back from the garage last night. They fitted a recon gearbox oil pump and torque convertor..... So it shouldnt be abkle to go into safety boost when its chipped?:( Maybe the b****rds stole my ECU!!!!:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

Hi guys, finally got me Zed back from the garage but it wont go above 7psi??? Jeff TT tells me it is most likely in safety boost as he chipped it for me and put boost jets on etc etc. Can anyone help at all cus my car feels really slow, well standard boost anyway (BORING)......:rolleyes:

I do alot of motorway miles and the switching down doesnt bother me at all, the car just wants to put less strain on itself so it switches down, clever old thing.......:D :D

Right then guys heres the latest. Nearly been without the car for 2 weeks now and starting to miss it like I never have any other car, it must be love???????(wish I was joking!!) Anyhows, VMTP in Birmingham have it and they called me today to advise that the Oil pump inside the gearbox has busted and basically thats the bits of metal found in the sump. Also, the torque convertor is shagged for soem reason or another, so all in all I need: New torque Convertor New Gearbox Oil Pump New oil Total is going to be about £400+ all in which I am pleased with as its better than shelling out £1200++++ The car should be finished tomorrow when it will be returned to Zedworld to try and get this cold start problem sorted once and for all as its does my head in!!!! I mean you sit there in your car in front of loads of people looking at you and it keeps stalling, how embarrasing is that!!!! Everybody probably thinks 'SHED!' Anyway, cant WAIT to get it back. Miss the power, my 2nd car (pug 1.9gti) isnt up to it really!!! Good fun on bends though.....;)

:( :( :( :( :( :( Well, the bloke from the garage that Jeff TT sent the car to has just given me the breakdown of the costs as he has apparently found small fragments of metal in the sump of the gearbox?? This has always been fine so I dont understand this??? Gearset: 495 Clutch kit: 325 Torque Convertor: 165 Lab to overhaul G/box: 140 Refit: 240 Oil: 30 Total around £1700 with the VAT..... I really cannot afford this so I need to find somewhere cheaper?? There must be an alternative???? There must?????????:(

Hi Tony C, I am the guy you met and I will percivere with it as I am sure once these initial gremilns are ironed out it'll turn out to be a great car! Dark Warrior, My mum lives up on Baldocks Lane and thats where I noticed the oil pouring out!! I think jeff had a couple of black 300's in, does yours smoke like a chimney??? I hope mines ready for the weekend but I guess you never know?!?:D Where abouts in melton r u from?

Thanks for your advice guys, AA Man took me too Jeff TT's where the car is now. Jeff suggested that it could be the oil lines or it could be something more serious. He is going to have a look Monday and let me know? It seems that this car is going to spend more time in the garage then it is on the road?? Is this normal for a Zed? It still has the cold stalling problem too........:( :( :( I even told myself that if this goes on for another couple of months then I am gonna have to reconsider another car??? I can afford it money wise, but I cannot afford the inconvenience........I do need some sort of reliability........:rolleyes: I'll keep you updated with whats happening.......

Update: AA Man has been and says its the torque convertor, whatever the hell that is? Can anyone shed some light???

F**K F**K!!!!!!! Driving to Leicester up the M1 and I start to smell something funny, oil, drfinately oil coming through the heater vents. I get to Melton Mowbray (my mums) and I can still smell the car and there is smoke coming from underneath??????:confused: :confused: :confused: I stop and my mums other half comes out and ask me why the bonnetts up, I tell him I can smell oil and he then tells me to turn the engine off very quickly as there is oil pissing out the back of the engine onto the exhaust??????:confused: :confused: :( I am guessing gearbox oil as it smells different to engine oil and even though Iseem to have lost quite a lot of oil, the engine oil level tells me its still bang on, so it must be gearbox oil. Now, I have read quite a few posts on here where guys have had gearbox problems, is this one? Oil out of the back side of the engine?? I am guessing so, and if it pours out then is there anyway I can check ????? AA man is coming in 20mins to have a look, but you know as well as me that he wont have a scooby about it????? Help guys, for the love of god, HELLLPPPPPPPPPP!!!!! PS. How much is a rebuild???? Will it need this? I am running about 370bhp, is this no good for the standard auto box???? :D AHa!!!!! Got it. Everytime is starts again, the symbols change around, ie. if 72 was a cross, then next time it'll probably be a moon or something else, so whatever you devise your number by, it'll always choose the right one as there is only a certain amount of numbers that can be reached by adding 2 numbers and then taking them away. Hope this makes sense.......:D

:( Going through reading all these posts I was starting to get somewhat frustrated as to you not finding 300TT quick. It may well be a heavy car and standard doesnt feel like a ferrari but you can still appreciate the power. And the difference over a saxo should be massive, put them side by side and you'll see the diference. The saxo will be a dot in the horizon after 15 seconds. Add a filter, stainless, chip and boost jets and then see the difference:D :D :D :D I am still smiling after taking the missus for a spin last night, f**k me my car is quick, VERY quick......:cool: I have even gone past the point of giving a 5hit about the fuel........:D

hello m8, i am not sure of the part number, i am getting mine 2nd hand and Jeff TT is fitting it for me, but I would guess that new would cost you a pretty penny.... I will let you know after the weekend if it works or not?? ;)
