Guys, does anyone here have any experience with burning DVD's? I have bought a really cheap DVD writer from PC world with no software so I am also looking for some DVD-writing software. Any help appreciated guys. I think its an NEC-1000, but I can check this...:confused:

Oh an dto top things off, my mum turns up xmas day about 12ish, I havent had any sleep and am looking a right mess, my brother who I live with fell over with some dizzy blonde and has done his nose in, sothere we are, both of us looking like we've been beaten up and my mums face was a picture!!! Well, what a f****** s*** t***** t*** w***g xmas it has been. Firstly the Zed is of the road, I got it through the MOT, taxed it for a year and now I still have the water leaking problem which I have discovered leaks mainly when its cold, soo as it gets warm it stops?!??! Must be one of those two rubber pipes to the heater matrix at the back of the engine, but I will let Geoff have another lookski. Also have the fuelling problem along with the passenger headlight issue, must be electrical and linked to the fuelling issue as both happened at once?!?! But anyway, thats annoying but Xmas eve I go out with me (now) Ex and two friends and we end up going nightclubbing. Towards the end of the night, some t*** starts trying it on with my mates missus even though he can see shes with some one:mac1: !! So, a fight starts between my mate and him and I join in, but, I am so drunk I only remember getting thrown out by the bouncers. Injuries sustained: Two badly sprained fingers on my right hand grazes to my left hand brusied neck, shoulders, chest, arms, legs 1 inch gauge in my cheek Not bad for a fight I cant remember!! Then, were outside and the (now) ex missus phone rings as someone was texting her, I look and its only her ex texting her saying 'I love you too', so I'm like whats the fooks going on!! All hells breaks loose and we get back to her friends flat and her ex turns up and she ends up fooking off with him!! So, 6am xmas morning, friends have gone bed and I am sitting by the xmas tree with war wounds and a broken heart, f*****g nice!! This is one xmas I wont forget!!! On a plus point though, I stole the b*tches phone and took all of her present back but managed to steal mine!! She got me: £175 Zedworld voucher Little die cast model of a covertible 300zx 300zx model (all the way from japan) Really cool!! Cant wait to build it!!:) and some clear side repeaters!! So I did well from her!! Anyone else have such a good xmas?? (first day back at work today and its really hard to type!!):(

I was cheering my ass off when the Z32 won,. well chuffed, how gutted would we have all been if it had of lost!!:(

Back again with more issues for the zed!!! I just laugh now!!!:rofl: :rofl: Errrmm, right, well, driving the car along sunday, after about 5 miles it started spluttering on me and then died, would not start for the world. Phoned Jeff, he advised, remove fuel pump fuse, sis that, turned car over, did that, put fuse back in, did that and then the car started!? Overfuelling?!?! Now it keeps doing it every now and then and now I cant even accelerate over 2 1/2 revs, or it starts spluttering?!!?! Also, my passenger side headlight has gone , no low beam or side beam?!!??! Changed the bulb and fuse and it made no difference?!? What is going on, tottally lost here any elp would be good.:confused:

I only read half this topic as I got bored!!! I swapped my 220coupe turbo which I loved for a 300ZXTT and would never look back. The rover is a nice car in its own right but the 300zx has it beat in every category for me hands down!!!! Thats why I changed!!!! Although reliability wise, the rover wins but then I probably bought a bad 300zx!!! Its a good one though now after £12.5K!!:p

Look how cheap this car is on ebay?? It looks really tidy and yet he's letting it go so cheap!!! Well I am gonna have a good luckover the weekend and see what I can see. Loads of power still there, no water in oil, no smoke coming out of exhausts so I am guessing a leak now. I will download some of the manual and check what I can. Wish me luck!!:)

Hi Zevans, really useful reply that, much appreciated! Well, I diddnt go over th ecar with the missus dad but I have been using it and even after 30mins of driving, I've lost a few pints??!?!? Obviously, when I go to fill it up b4 driving again, I start the car and I do see loads of bubble, but they are smnall and big, then if I keep filling up, after about a minute they all dissapear and then I get the odd large bubble. So, presuming the water system is full, I put the rad cap back on and off I go and then have to go through it all again. I really thought Jeff would have found something and I probably aint gonna get chance to have a look this weekend. Need to get some work done on my fiesta!! If it is a head gasket, but then I guess the bubbles would have continued, would I have to replace both head gaskets?? I Presume theres two! And would it be hard for me to do it!!

Thanks for all your thoughts guys. The coloured dye sounds like an idea, any ideas as to what I could use?? Also, do you know anywhere where I can get the colling system pressure tested around Northampton area? I dont mind travelling. Jeff @ Zedworld said he had it up on ramps running for 30mins but couldnt see anything obvious, he also went for a long run, bought it back and also checked but nothing. I think this is going to be something similiar to Andy's problem, the water is obviously evapourating before it gets chance to leave a trail which isnt helping the fault finding. Mmmmm, well, the rad cap and radiator are only 4 months old, well the cap is brand new, and it only dissapears when its under pressure. I presume the water pressure increases whilst driving?? A rolling road would be useful but then that could get expensive to hire one to find the fault. Well, my other halfs dad is going to have a look with me at the weekend so I will let you know how I get on.

Guys, In the latest of my issues with the most unreliable car in the world, the 300ZX, I still love it though......well anyway, I seem to lose water like theres no tomorrow, it isnt running under the car as Jeff @ Zedworld has had it up on the ramps and he cannot see where the water is going. He fitted me a new higher pressure cap to see if this helps but two days later, I had to put 4 litres of water back in. Help guys, where the hell is it going, jeff says theres no signs of it leaking from the engine and no signs of where its been dripping?!?!??!?!?!!?!?!?!? I can fill it up, go for a drive and everything is fine, but I dont own shares in anti-freeze firms so its no use really!!!! Where can I look next? I havent checked under the floor mats yet?!? Couldnt I have the water system pressure tested????:confused:

Tis true, I do own a ZX and I gotta go pick her up tonight, cant wait! You really miss it even if u dont drive it for a few days. But then when I drive it everyday, I take it for granted. Best to wait till the weekends I think!:)

I have a JWT chip, stage 1 turbos, an apexi boost gauge and I believe I had boost jets but I dont know whether Option took them out! I asked them last friday how much it was gonna be to wind the boost up and fit a boost controller so I could adj. it as I like.
