  1. as you'll be asking lots of questions I suggest you search. pretty sure kirbz put a post up on it otherwise there's a sticky on the aem forum. map sensor just needs a vac line and AIT needs welding to the intake pipe next to the throttlebody.
  2. yes, though are the same the 300zx... the R33's are the upraded brembos
  3. you didn't kyle build the whole top end for you?
  4. lwb vs swb is a huge difference in how they drive, try one out, and then chuck it round a roundabout, you'll be surprised.
  5. no idea! however the skicktop was available in the US but only in NA form
  6. it's for swb and was looking for £300. It's been powder coated black and is a very snug fit to the interior Dave, you guessed right, dropped it off yesterday:tank:
  7. I have mine for sale if you're interested? Autopower 4 point bolt-in with harness bar. Someone else is considering it at the moment but should now in the next day or so.
  8. ^^^^^^^ that's just silly IMO
  9. I was thinking, if money is not a limiting factor, get some genuine BBS LM's
  10. umm, no, these are well and good if you like stretched tires. But to get decent rubber on the tires these offsets are far too agressive. You want a 285 tire given the power you're going for. You can run 9.5" with up to +35 (still pushing it a bit, pretty sure Topless had to have a small arch roll to stop the odd rub with that setup) or a 10" with +40.
  11. very nice, stuggling to believe the weights though, that's insanely light.
  12. or for a quick solution ;) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=133691
  13. lymon makes sense, for reference, my base boost is 18psi to let me get to higher boost levels
  14. what happens when driving and it hits 18psi? does it fall over itself/stumble or just steadily drop down again. Are the wastegates actually closing properly?
  15. agree with Legarth CJ's car is now bobgenie's and is a new setup, plus Thor results are hub not rear wheel so cannot be compared. Machine's was not at Thor, which is good, but it sold and no longer in the country Kirbz's is no longer together and the parts are spread out all over the country :) So the only big bhp cars I know of with dyno proven rwhp AND on the road are Bobgenie 504rwhp mine 494 rwhp on current tune (516 peak previously) Bazz 514 at Hub (Thor dyno) Silverbullit 425 rwhp I believe Macca's is in a bodyshop and as previously mentioned, no dyno graphs until he feels it's finished. Hope this doesn't offend anyone and apologies if I missed someone out, but there's so much mis-information, speculation and bullshit on this thread in places that it's getting silly
  16. Thanks everyone! :D
  17. guys, travelling back to wales (Carmarthen) at the weekend. Are the main roads ok, tempted to take the Zed :)
  18. the rear offsets are too aggressive so you'll have to run slimer tires to compensate, not good if you're going for big power
  19. that's weird, if it was the prop you'd expect it to be related to road speed not engine speed.
  20. is it at 2000rpm regardless of gear?
  21. out of interest, what does an NA Z use to control the PS?
  22. Just as an FYI, I used to run the JWT twin pop setup with dual AFM's and used the AFC to 'add' the airflow. Worked immediately without changing ECU and no running problems. Will caveat that this setup was only used up to around 400bhp, am now running a MAP sensor instead on the AEM.
