  1. where can I get some fabbed up into various shapes and riveted together? Have an idea but don't really have the time / skill / tools to do myself!
  2. I reckon it'll be the anti-roll bar bushes ;) just lube them up and see what happens. Mine started doing something similar in the last 3-4 weeks as the weather turned
  3. loads of info on the skyline board about wraps, costs seem to be from 1k to 2k depending on quality. However, the bodywork needs to be in good order otherwise any dings etc will still show with the wrap.
  4. quite right, and my lovely wife got me forza 3 ( and an xbox 360 to play it on :D)
  5. I will confess to using warm water for a quick de-ing followed by wipers to remove the water to stop it re-freezing!
  6. Popped in today at short notice as I was in the area. Jeff very kindly lent me 3 (!) CAS units for my last mapping session a few weeks ago so I could get to the bottom of a problem I was having and didn't ask for any cash up front. It was nice that both Jeff & Jamie took the timeout to catchup today and a shame I couldn't make the xmas meet yesterday. They are both clearly still very enthusiastic about the Zeds and prompted some interesting discussions as I showed them round my car. PS The drive back to London was fun - 580bhp, no TC, no ABS and running R888's in the snow! To be honest it was uneventful and the tires performed better than I thought they would given the conditions, roll on some warm and dry days!
  7. need some pics, couldn't make it today due to a flat tire and also feeling rotten!
  8. would only fit a SWB as the roof profile is different
  9. Depends, what does your engine builder say? You need to follow their directions in case anything goes wrong. If you built yourself then up to you really, lots of different schools of thought. On my personal one I've covered approx 1200 miles since it was done including 50+ dyno runs and a trackday at silverstone :) First dyno runs for mapping was within the first 30miles with the trackday at around the 600 mile mark. Compression test yesterday shows good compression across the board so I haven't broken anything yet!
  10. dyno dynamics dyno which is cylinder based. Manual Transmission
  11. Little more progress today. Thanks to Ryan and Silverbullit as usual and special thanks to Zedworld for lending me 3 CAS units :) Armed with spares the first one worked flawlessly and after swapping out a dodgy spark plug I've finally gotten rid of my misfires! Can now use full throttle which is nice and have updated dyno graphs. Peak figures are slightly down as this is at 1.3bar (1.6 previously) but look at the power band! :devil2: Enough tuning for the winter, will go back to turn up the boost in the spring when the weather improves. Turbos are waiting to be unleashed so should be fun:taz: flywheel rear wheel
  12. Depends on how much you've changed. There are base maps provided and if you keep the MAF it's literally plug and play. The more mods you have then best to use a qualified AEM installer. Mine was up, running and mapped in about 3 hours with a MAP setup. Software is easy to use if you want to play yourself, only problem that seems to be common is a slight hickup at low rpm that happens occasionaly as result of timing errors from the CAS. PS I believe syko is also running the AEM.
  13. people I know of Jaffa SilverBullit Bazz BobGenie ??
  14. Yes, it can do fuel level. It can take a load of additional sensors, including configure custom ones via a laptop. Not actually got round to doing mine yet, will do eventually. Cost was about £600 from the states
  15. it's an AIM MXL Strada, reading all the info from AEM via serial data feed.
  16. need offsets and proposed tire sizes
  17. First reaction: Time to put the horse down, put it out of it's misery and let your wife move on. Understandable that she's upset but it will just drag on and on like this.
  18. yes, there's a hi speed one available which is generally used with underdrive pulleys to make sure it runs the same speed as normal
  19. would be good to see photos of the engine bay etc and some of the technical spec
  20. I'd go 12-15 psi. then you can use boost controller low/high setting to get you to 19 and 24psi
  21. big single will be laggy and expensive to sort out custom piping/mounting. T28's are probably not really up to the job and will be laggy compared to the GT turbo's.
  22. that's right, there is also a more complicated version involving a relay
  23. lol, that pretty much has the whole abflug catalogue thrown at it. Bit weird having fuel cooler & fan inside the car though
